The important issue of equipment installed in maritime weapon system is shock survivability against underwater explosion(UNDEX). If the shock survivability of equipment should not be guaranteed, the successful mission also could not be achieved. For that reason, the shock-resistance of each equipment under UNDEX environment should be demonstrated before deployment at combat field. However, the actual UNDEX test on the ocean is too expensive to conduct. Also, it has diverse dangerous factors. The main characteristic of UNDEX is a dual-pulse shock. The vertical shock test machine able to simulate dual pulse shock signal on the ground will be introduced in this paper. The dual-pulse shock signal presented in certain shock standard was achieved with this shock-test machine on the ground. The analytical procedure to set a test condition was verified by comparing simulation result with experiment result.

This article develops model of the nonstationary state behavior of the multiechelon spare parts provisioning systems. This study is concerned with a problem of determining the near optimal requirements level of the spare parts, especially Concurrent Spare Parts(CSP). CSP is supplied with the procurement of new equipment system, and is used to sustain the equipment without resupply during the initial coverage period. We consider this situation as a multiechelon inventory model with several bases and one depot. And we assume an equipment system which consists of many types of parts would grounded if one of the parts fail. Also this multiechelon CSP problem is considering the nonstationary poisson failure process and nonstationary exponential repair process in a dynamic environment. We develop an efficient computational procedure to find the near optimal number of spare parts minimizing the total expected cost, while achieving the required system availability. Finally we present a simple example of suggested method.

The rapid tactical operation and mobility are getting important to recently developed the guided weapon systems. And military wants multi-purposes equipment to carry the war more easily. So military wants to have the equipment that can apply without any distinction about environment. For this reason, the robust design is getting more important now to guarantee survivability of equipment. In this paper, we try to check about structural integrity of Fire Control Unit(FCU) which is one of the guided weapon system using dynamic FEM analysis.

Mission Equipment Package(MEP) system is a collection of avionic components that are integrated to perform the mission of the Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH). MEP system development is classified mission-critical embedded system but KUH MEP system developed including flight-critical data implementation. It is important to establish the good development and verification process for the successful system development. This paper describe the development and verification process in each phase for the KUH MEP system. MEP system design is verified through the qualification test, system failure test and compatibility test in System Integration Laboratory(SIL).

Airborne radio communications, navigation, and identification equipments are the basic equipment of airplane. Airborne radio communications, navigation, and identification equipments are characterized by user's many quantitative and qualitative requirements. These equipment look like simple test and evaluation, but they have many complex factors. This paper describe the test and evaluation of airborne radio communications, navigation, and identification equipments.

In this study, computational multi-body dynamics and structural vibration analyses including some impact condition have been conducted for the ground flight test system of the developed smart UAV model. Designed ground test system has four degree-of-freedom motions with limited motion control mechanism. Design safety margin designs for several structural components are tested and verified considering expected critical motions (pitching and rolling) of the test smart UAV model. Computational results for various analysis conditions are practically presented in detail. Futhermore, proper design modifications of the initially designed test equipment in order to guarantee or increase structural safety have been successfully conducted in the design stage.
This study has been conducted to estimate the degree of cognition of military hospital services according to experience of military hospital services for serviceman, and to find out some factors affecting the medical services satisfaction. Questionnaires were given to 600 persons during October 5th though 24th 2009. All 600 questionnaires distributed affair, but 343 cases were collected. Statistical analysis methods used in this dissertation are t-test, Logistic Regression Analysis and other basic statistics such as frequency, percentage, and standard deviation using SPSS ver, 17.0. Results of the study are as follows: The satisfaction of the treat a patients' to compared military hospital and private hospital was providing free medical treatment for serviceman. The dissatisfaction of the treat a patients' to compared military hospital and private hospital was army doctors treated his very unfriendly. The level of medical treatment to providing military hospital was very low cognition for serviceman. In conclusion, to increase the preference of the military hospital is level of private hospital health care level of should be to developed. More support to financial should provide for medical workforce and setting of cutting edge medical equipment in the military hospital. Military hospital is should be competition with private hospital. Also should be improve the quality of military medical service.
High-speed military aircraft shall be able to identify and resolve enemy threats or internal component defects with survival equipment and warning systems to minimize casualties. Warning system is divided into visual method with symbolic display and auditory method with communication equipment, which is superior in that they it has a short response time and does not cause pilot confusion by listening to simple messages. Thus, this paper suggested and evaluated effective design methods of voice/tone warning systems for military aircraft based on a life cycle perspective. Since military aircraft is safety-sensitive, priorities and three properties(Inhibitible, Interruptible, and Deactivatable) were applied to each warning to reflect criticality and urgency. As a result, we confirmed that it took 40ms to play the voice warnings, satisfying all requirements through V model-based development and testing, and improving product reliability.
Anomaly detection holds paramount significance across diverse fields, encompassing fraud detection, risk mitigation, and sensor evaluation tests. Its pertinence extends notably to the military, particularly within the Warrior Platform, a comprehensive combat equipment system with wearable sensors. Hence, we propose a data-compression-based anomaly detection approach tailored to unlabeled time series and sequence data. This method entailed the construction of two distinctive features, typicality and atypicality, to discern anomalies effectively. The typicality of a test sequence was determined by evaluating the compression efficacy achieved through the pattern dictionary. This dictionary was established based on the frequency of all patterns identified in a training sequence generated for each sensor within Warrior Platform. The resulting typicality served as an anomaly score, facilitating the identification of anomalous data using a predetermined threshold. To improve the performance of the pattern dictionary method, we leveraged atypicality to discern sequences that could undergo compression independently without relying on the pattern dictionary. Consequently, our refined approach integrated both typicality and atypicality, augmenting the effectiveness of the pattern dictionary method. Our proposed method exhibited heightened capability in detecting a spectrum of unpredictable anomalies, fortifying the stability of wearable sensors prevalent in military equipment, including the Army TIGER 4.0 system.
Since the 2000s, the demand for private demolition works has been gradually increasing as the apartment housing market has been led by redevelopment and reconstruction. In the case of the military, the Ministry of National Defense is consolidating troops from each military unit to reorganize the unit structure in accordance with Defense Reform 2.0; the plan includes reducing the garrison used by each unit to 70% of its current level. Accordingly, the demand for demolition work in the military is also expected to increase. However, the military regulations do not reflect the relevant laws that have been revised recently. This study identifies regulations and system improvements for demolition work suitable for the military based on an analysis of accident cases that have occurred during demolition work, of domestic and foreign laws and regulations related to military demolition work, and of the problems with current military safety management at each stage of planning, design, and construction. The study subsequently proposes improvements for military demolition work, including budget execution adjustment, the establishment of training courses, on-site inspections, the development of guidelines for military demolition work, the provision of risk assessment standards, and the need for the qualification of equipment operators.
