Due to the gravitation of the population to Metropoleis caused by the radical industrialization and urbanization after the 1960s. most Korean cities not only have shown the deformed urban structure, but also have faced many serious problems in the public transit system. Especially, the medium-sized cities as the center of the local life have been under the low level of public transit service because of their poor transportation facilities and inefficient operations. Under these conditions, this study aims at improving its level and quality in the local midium-sized cities by performing the following; . to suggest the new idea of the public transit policies for the medium-sized cities. . to develop the Bus Transit Management System and its related computer programs. . to apply the design policies and methods to the Suwon life-circle in order to evaluate their performance.

Recently in South Korea, various methods are followed in decreasing educational gap between region and social classes through school education. The National Assessment Educational Achievement(NAEA) intends to strengthen responsibility of school education and manage quality of curriculum. Besides, the NAEA intends to bridge achievement gap which is one of educational gaps by grasping the characteristics of academic ability to guarantee basic academic ability. There is not much research about the educational gap among regional scales. Therefore in this study, to examine the achievement characteristics among regional scales closely, we analyse the 2010, 2011 NAEA results in elementary mathematics subject and explore characteristics of items which have sharp differences between local population sizes. The results of the analysis has been showed that the educational gap between 'big-sized cities' and 'small and midium-sized cities' has been increased, but the overall educational gap among regional scales has been decreased.

본 연구는 현행 도시재생관련 법제가 수도권 대도시의 주거지에 주로 중점을 두고 있어 비수도권 및 지방도시에 적용하기 어렵다는 문제인식에 따라 지역별 특성을 반영한 도시재생사업을 위한 제도개선 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 인구규모와 지리적 위치 등을 고려하여 13개 사례지구를 선정하고 이에 대한 문헌연구와 지역전문가에 대한 심층자문을 통해 지역별 도시재생의 현황과 과제를 도출하고자 하였다. 그 결과 대부분의 도시에서 공통적으로 과다한 정비지구지정, 물리적 정비사업의 정체 등의 과제를 안고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 각 지역의 인구 지리적 특징 및 민간참여가능성, 재정자립도 등을 고려할 때 물리적 정비의 방향, 정비 주체, 재정 및 전문가 지원, 도시재생사업의 범위 등의 차별화를 통한 도시재생사업의 전개가 시급하다.
