  • In this paper, we represent the development of microcomputer-based monitoring system which monitors patient's states-ECG, blood pressure, temperature and respiration. And since data acquisition and system controls are processed by microprocessor, this system improved the conventional method.

  • The method to improve the efficiency of a slightly loaded induction motor is suggested. It is based upon the optimal efficiency slip tracking by adjusting the voltage to frequency ratio(V/f). It is adopted the converter-inverter fed induction motor drive system. All the control loops are implemented bh the Z-80 microprocessor. By this method, 10% or more improvement is achieved at a few fraction of the full load.

  • This paper discusses the possibility of applying fuzzy logic controller in a microprocessor - based servomotor controller, such as servomotor position controller, which requires faster and more accurate response compared with other industrial processes. According to the fuzzy control rule made by tie analysis of error and error change, one Look-up table that contains various quantized step is made and appropriate initial error change is selected to the good responses.

  • This paper describes the auto depth control system for underwater vehicle that can be used for both near surface and deeply submerged depthkeeping operations. This controller uses the fuzzy control algorithm and is implemented on the 16 bit microprocessor 8086 and coprocessor 8087. For verifying this system design, the digital simulator using PC-386 based T800 transputer is proto-totyped and the real time simulations show us satisfactory results.

  • In this paper, a real-time obstacle avoidance for mobile robot based on the readings of the ultrasonic sensors is presented. The twenty eight ultrasonic sensors are arranged in ring and controlled by microprocessor. The readings of the ultrasonic sensor is converted into the virtual forces called repulsive forces, which are the elastic and damping forces. Then, the direction and speed of mobile robot in the cluttered environment are determined by the virtual forces. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified from a series of simulation studies.

  • Micro-robots using microprocessor are mainly classified as line-tracer, micro-mouse, and war-robot. This paper presents the development of the war-robot mechanism with vehicle-style using RC-servo motors and actuators using 4-bar linkage and infrared sensors. Especially the algorithm of conquering other war-robots is proposed based on the skill of belly-throw of Korean wrestling.

  • A design of an industrial microcomputer control system for an one-through tube boiler using oil is presented. The microcomputer system is based on standard iSBC 88/40 board. The software consist of a RTE(real time executive) and application tasks. The designed control system saves fuel and gives a more reliable over-all operation.

  • This paper describes a 32-bit RISC processor, which has instruction level compatibility with the ARM7 microprocessor. The processor is fully synthesizable, and its performance is evaluated based on 0.35-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS library. This paper focuses on the implementation of the processor and the reliable verification strategy ensuring the complete instruction level compatibility. The processor has successfully verified using a FPGA chip.

  • This paper presents a general purpose data acquisition system based on the microprocessor system with M 6800. instrument and lograrithmic amplifiers and A/D converters are used to implement a signal conditioner for a various kinds of signals. The proposed system has a function such that the processor may select the one of the input signals as will and also it is proved that the system may control the control signal and digital converted signal through I/O port of PIA. Practical measurement by the proposed system shows in good results.
