  • LCD-BLU (Liquid Crystal Display - Back Light Unit) is one of kernel parts of LCD unit and it consists of several optical sheets(such as prism, diffuser and protector sheets), LCP (Light Guide Plate), light source (CCFL or LED) and mold frame. The LGP of LCD-BLU is usually manufactured by forming numerous dots with $50{\sim}200{\mu}m$ in diameter on it by erosion method. But the surface of the erosion dots of LGP is very rough due to the characteristics of the erosion process during the mold fabrication, so that its light loss is high along with the dispersion of light into the surface. Accordingly, there is a limit in raising the luminance of LCD-BLU. In order to overcome the limit of current dot patterned LGP, optical pattern design with $50{\mu}m$ micro-lens was applied in the present study. Especially, the negative and positive micro-lens pattern fabricated by modified LiGA with thermal reflow process was applied to the optical design of LGP. The attention was paid to the effects of different pattern conditions to the brightness distribution of BLU with micro-lens patterned LGP. Finally, negative micro-lens patterned LGP showed superior results to the one made by positive in average luminance.

나노초 레이저 가공을 활용한 초소수 표면 특성을 가지는 사출 금형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Injection Mold with Superhydrophobic Surface Properties Using Nanosecond Laser Machining)

  • In this study, an injection mold with ultra-small surface properties was manufactured using nanosecond laser processing. A superhydrophobic characteristic analysis was performed on the PET specimen manufactured through this. To this end, a hydrophobic pattern was defined using the Cassie-Baxter model. The defined features were selected with a spot diameter of 25um and pitch spacing of 30um and 35um. As a result of the basic experiment, it was confirmed that the fine pattern shape had an aspect ratio of 1:1 when the pitch interval was 35um and 20 iterations. Through the determined processing conditions, a hydrophobic pattern was implemented on the core surface of KP4. A specimen with a hydrophobic pattern was produced through injection molding. The height of the molded hydrophobic pattern is 20 ㎛ less than the depth of the core and the contact angle measurement results are 92.1°. This is a contact angle smaller than the superhydrophobic criterion. Molding analysis was performed to analyze the cause of this, and it was analyzed that the molding was not molded due to the lack of pressure in the injection machine.

  • 최근 고품질 제품 생산을 위한 방법으로 센서를 이용한 사출공정모니터링 시스템이 적용되고 있다. 그러나 마이크로 금형, 광학용 금형 및 구조가 복잡한 금형에는 센서 설치가 어렵기 때문에, 공정 모니터링 시스템이 적용되기 어려운 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 금형과 사출성형기 노즐의 압력 을 측정하여 공정 모니터링 데이터의 정량적 지수를 정의하고, 성형품 중량에 대한 상관분석을 수행하여 노즐에 설치된 압력센서의 공정모니터링 적용성을 알아보았다. 또한 공정모니터링 데이터를 분석하여 다단사출속도, 보압 및 제한 사출 압력의 영향에 따른 사출성형기의 공정 제어 특성도 알아보았다.

  • 현재까지 제품의 표면 질감을 얻기 위해 단순히 도장과 인쇄 같은 방법으로 2차원적인 표면처리 공정을 이용해 왔다. 그러나 밀리 스케일의 자연물 표면에 마이크로 스케일의 3차원 표면 구조를 성형해야만 보다 자연물과 유사한 질감을 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 3차원 표면 구조를 가지는 사출성형품을 제작하기 위해 전주 기술을 이용한 자연물 표면 복제 기술, 전주에 의해 제작된 평면 stamper를 제품 표면 형상과 같은 곡면으로 제작하는 프레스 기술, 곡면의 stamper를 장착하여 사출 성형할 수 있는 금형 및 성형 기술을 개발하여 3차원 질감을 가지는 스마트폰 케이스를 제작하였다.

무광부식 패턴을 갖는 자동차 내장부품인 HD Switch Panel의 제조 및 전사성 평가 (Development and transcription estimation of an automotive interior plastic part(HD Switch Panel) with no glossy etching pattern)

  • 본 논문에서는 미세 무광부식 패턴을 갖는 HD Switch Panel 자동차 부품을 개발하는 것으로, 제품 디자인을 통해 금형을 설계, 제작하였다. 최적화된 금형 제작을 위하여 CAE(Computer Aided Engineering)해석을 통하여 사출성형 공정에서 나타날 수 있는 문제점과 부품의 수축 변형을 정량적으로 예측하였다. 그리고, 금형표면의 가열온도와 실제 금형온도를 비교함으로써 공정변수 조절을 통해 사출성형조건의 최적화도 달성할 수 있었다. 한편, 순간금형표면가열방식을 이용한 성형기술인 E-MOLD를 적용하여 자동차 내장부품용 HD Switch Panel 사출성형품을 제작하였고, 전자현미경과 원자현미경을 이용한 표면 평가 및 광택도 측정을 통하여 무광부식 패턴의 전사율 향상으로 인한 무광 특성이 향상됨(2.5이상$\to$1.5~1.7)을 확인하였다.

보정 프로그램을 이용한 Plastic 렌즈 Core의 보정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Shape Accuracy of Plastic Lens by Compensation Program)

  • In order to meet the optical performance in the process of the micro lens manufacturing with plastics, it is important to embody accuracy in shape and surface roughness to the intended design. Since it is difficult to machine exactly the mold core of lens fit to the designed shape, in this paper, a simple program using MATLAB is developed for shape correction of the mold core after first machining it. This program evaluates correction parameters(aspheric coefficients and curvature) and generates aspheric NC data for compensating the core surface in prior machining process. The program provides the way to manufacture plastic injection molding lens with aspheric shape of high precision, and is expected to be effective for correction and to shorten the processing time.

Powder blasting을 이용한 Fused silica glass의 마이크로 채널 가공 및 특성 평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of micro-channel characteristics of fused silica glass using powder blasting)

  • Recently, due to the development of MEMS technology, researches for the production of effective micro structures and shapes have been actively conducted. However, the process technology based on chemical etching has a number of problems such as environmental pollution and time problems due to multi-process. Various processes to cope with this process are being studied, and one of the mechanical etching processes is the powder blasting process. This process is a method of spraying fine particles, which has the advantage of being an effective process in manufacturing hard brittle materials. However, it is also a process that adversely affects the material surface roughness and material properties due to the impact of the injection of fine particles. In this study, after fabricating micro-channels in fused silica glass with excellent optical properties among the hard brittle materials, we used the nano indentation system to analyze the micro parts using nano-particles as well as machinability and surface roughness analysis of the processed surface. The analysis was performed for the effective processing of powder blasting.

유한요소해석을 이용한 마이크로 분사 노즐 특성 평가 (Evaluation of micro jet nozzle using finite elements method)

  • In the drug delivery system industry, the technology with even split injection becomes important for maximizing efficiency and minimizing the side effects. In conventional drug delivery system, infection can occur due to pain and splashing. Also, various applications are impossible due to disposable use, and it is the reason to avoid to use this system because of the complexity of the driving method. Therefore, in this study, a painless drug delivery device is developed for non-pain with electrical insulation breakdown method. Finite elements analysis was used to evaluate the ejection characteristics of drugs according to the shape of the micro ejection nozzle. The effect of the number of holes in the micro nozzle, the length of the nozzle and the inner shape of the nozzle on the drug discharge characteristics were analyzed.
