This paper is intended to provide key issues and current research outcomes on accelerator-based Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). Accelerator-based neutron sources are efficient to provide epithermal neutron beams for BNCT; hence, much research, worldwide, has focused on the development of components crucial for its realization: neutron-producing targets and cooling equipment, beam-shaping assemblies, and treatment planning systems. Proton beams of 2.5 MeV incident on lithium target results in high yield of neutrons at relatively low energies. Cooling equipment based on submerged jet impingement and micro-channels provide for viable heat removal options. Insofar as beam-shaping assemblies are concerned, moderators containing fluorine or magnesium have the best performance in terms of neutron accumulation in the epithermal energy range during the slowing-down from the high energies. NCT_Plan and SERA systems, which are popular dose distribution analysis tools for BNCT, contain all the required features (i.e., image reconstruction, dose calculations, etc.). However, detailed studies of these systems remain to be done for accurate dose evaluation. Advanced research centered on accelerator-based BNCT is active in Korea as evidenced by the latest research at Hanyang University. There, a new target system and a beam-shaping assembly have been constructed. The performance of these components has been evaluated through comparisons of experimental measurements with simulations. In addition, a new patient-specific treatment planning system, BTPS, has been developed to calculate the deposited dose and radiation flux in human tissue. It is based on MCNPX, and it facilitates BNCT efficient planning based via a user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI).

This paper describes a development of the extrusion process and estimation of the weldability for multi cell tubes used to cooling system of automobiles. A study on extrusion process is performed through the 3D FE simulation in non-steady state and extrusion experimentation. Also, nano-indentation test is employed to estimate the weldability of tubes. Especially, An evaluation of the weldability using the nano-indentation is accomplished as compared with nano-hardness in welded part and in the others. Finally, the pattern of the mandrel defection is investigated according to shapes of the porthole and/or chamber.
For the experiment the four types of spacer were distinguished by arrangement. The flashover characteristic on each types of spacer was investigated and the flashover phenomena were observed to understand breakdown mechanism in liquid nitrogen($LN_{2}$). The spacer should be placed interior coil as an insulator, a cooling channel and s supporter of structures. The simulated electrode used in the experiment was made from five turns of HTS tape. Experimental results revealed that multi-layer and barrier effects did work well in Air but did not in $LN_{2}$. These result suggested that the flashover in LN2 caused by the bubbles due to partial discharge at micro gap, g. The flashover characteristics decreased to 70% when g is 0.2 mm. The degradation was improved by even treatment on surface of coil electrode.
Nowadays Laser Controllable Thermo-cleaving is the most promising method of cutting FPD(Flat Panel Display) glass in mass-production line. And this method can be used to cut other brittle materials such as quartz, sapphire, ceramic and semiconductor. The concept of this method is shown in Picture 1. Laser beam heats glass up to strain point not to melting point and cooling system chills glass to make maximum thermal stress in glass and then the thermal stress generates micro thermal crack in other words blind crack. Laser Controllable Thermo-cleaving controls the thermal stress to optimize the blind crack up to level of mass-production line.
