저농도 오존처리에 따른 다섯 가지 유묘의 기공 변화, 엽록소 함량 및 항산화 효소 활성 (Antioxidant Enzyme, Chlorophyll Contents and Stomatal Changes of Five Tree Species under Ozone Stress)

  • 튜립나무, 산수유, 은행나무, 느티나무, 단풍나무 등, 총 다섯 수종을 대상으로 phytotron에서 저농도 오존을 처리한 후 이에 따른 식물의 반응을 고찰하였다. 엽록소함량, 잎 기공저항, 잎 증산량, 항산화효소인 APX(Ascorbate peroxidase)를 통해 분석하였고, 이에 따른 결과는 수종마다 각기 다르게 나타났다. 본 실험기간동안 가시피해현상이 나타난 수종은 튜립나무와 산수유 뿐이었지만 가시피해현상이 없는 수종도 포함, 전 수종이 저농도 오존에 의해 엽록소함량, 기공저항, 기공전도도, 항산화효소 활성에서 낮은 생리적 활성을 보임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 현재 우리나라 유방촬영장치의 정도관리 항목에는 국제규격에서 원하는 직선성이 빠져있다. 직선성은 방사선량 및 방사선질의 조정을 위한 요구사항이다. 본 연구에서는 유방촬영장치 5대를 대상으로 IEC 60601-2-45 규격에 맞는 직선성을 시험한 결과 모두 적합한 결과를 보였으며 앞으로 좀 더 발전된 정도관리를 위해서는 지속적인 측정관리가 필요하다.

면역황금표식법을 이용한 호르텐스극구흡충의 조직내 항원성 부위에 관한 연구 (Ultrastructural Antigenic Localization in the Tissues of Echinostoma hortense Observed by Immunogold Labeling Method)

  • 호르텐스극구흡충을 흰쥐에게 경구 감염시키고 4주 후에 성충을 획득하여 고정, 포매 및 절편하여 조직항원 분포 부위를 관찰하였다. 호르텐스극구흡충의 항체는 호르텐스극구흡충 피낭유충을 흰쥐에게 경구 감염시키고 4주 후에 채혈한 혈청과 호르텐스극구흡충 조항원을 면역증강제와 함께 흰쥐에게 근육 주사하여 채혈한 혈청을 이용하였으며, 이 혈청을 반응시켜서 호르텐스극구흡충 조직내의 항원성 분포를 규명하였다. 한편, 면역황금표식법에 의한 미세조직의 항원성 반응 여부는 조직에 표지된 황금입자로 판정하였다. 그 결과 충체 조직에서 황금입자와 강하게 반응하는 미세조직은 표피층의 표지합포체, 난황세포의 구성물질, 유연조직의 분비과립 그리고 배설낭의 구성물질 등에서 반응이 강하게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 호르텐스극구흡충의 항원은 생식세포와 소화분비 및 소화관계통에서 분비 유래되는 것으로 분석되었다.

Molecular Investigation of Two Consecutive Nosocomial Clusters of Candida tropicalis Candiduria Using Pulsed-Field Gel Electrophoresis

  • Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) typing was applied to the epidemiological investigation of 21 Candida tropicalis isolates collected from urine specimens of 11 patients and one healthcare worker, in an intensive care unit (ICU) over a 4-month period. Seventeen epidemiologically unrelated strains from 14 patients were also tested to determine the discriminatory power of PFGE. PFGE typing consisted of electrophoretic karyotyping (EK) and restriction endonuclease analysis of genomic DNA (REAG), using two restriction enzymes (BssHII and SfiI). The EK pattern was the same in all 38 isolates, while REAG using SfiI separated the isolates into nine types. However, 16 different PFGE types were iden-tified by REAG with BssHII, and the same results were obtained when the results of both REAG tests were combined. In serial urinary isolates from 10 patients, all strains from each patient had the same PFGE pattern. While the epidemiologically unrelated strains from 14 patients consisted of 13 different PFGE types, the 20 isolates from the 11 ICU patients fell into only two PFGE types (types Cl and C2), and these apparently originated from the two different outbreaks. All strains of type Cl (n = 12) were isolated from six patients, between November 1999 and January 2000, and all of the type C2 strains (n=8) were isolated from five patients, during January and February 2000. This study shows two con-secutive clusters of C. tropicalis candiduria in an ICU, defined by PFGE typing, and also demonstrates that a PFGE typing method using BssHII is perhaps the most useful method for investigating C. tropi-calis candiduria.

Extracellular ATP Stimulates $Na^+\;and\;Cl^-$ Transport through the Activation of Multiple Purinergic Receptors on the Apical and Basolateral Membranes in M-1 Mouse Cortical Collecting Duct Cells

  • The mammalian cortical collecting duct (CCD) plays a major role in regulating renal NaCl reabsorption, which is important in $Na^+$ and $Cl^-$ homeostasis. The M-1 cell line, derived from the mouse cortical collecting duct, has been used as a mammalian model of the study on the electrolytes transport in CCD. M-1 cells were grown on collagen-coated permeable support and short circuit current $(I_{sc})$ was measured. M-1 cells developed amiloride-sensitive current $5{\sim}7$ days after seeding. Apical and basolateral addition of ATP induced increase in $I_{sc}$ in M-1 cells, which was partly retained in $Na^+-free$ or $Cl^--free$ solution, indicating that ATP increased $Na^+$ absorption and $Cl^-$ secretion in M-1 cells. $Cl^-$ secretion was mediated by the activation of apical cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator (CFTR) chloride channels and $Ca^{2+}-activated$ chloride channels, but $Na^+$ absorption was not mediated by activation of epithelal sodium channel (ENaC). ATP increased cAMP content in M-1 cells. The RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that M-1 cells express $P2Y_2,\;P2X_3\;and\;P2Y_4$ receptors. These results showed that ATP regulates $Na^+$ and $Cl^-$ transports via multiple P2 purinoceptors on the apical and basolateral membranes in M-1 cells.

농촌 재가노인을 위한 통합적 스트레스관리 프로그램 적용효과 (Effects of an Integrated Stress Management Program(ISMP) for the Elders in a Rural Community)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop and evaluate the Integrated Stress Management Program (ISMP) for elders in rural communities. Method: ISMP consists of 6 educational programs to improve self-management behavior and therapeutic recreational activities and was developed by analyzing the published reports and through multidisciplinary cooperation. Effectiveness of the ISMP was evaluated by implementing the program with 53 rural elders living at home, one session a week of, 2 hours per session over, 6 weeks from March 14 to April. 22, 2005. Results: After participating in the program, participants' perceived levels of stress decreased(t=2.940, p<.05), and mood state (t=4.229, p<.001), life satisfaction(t=-4.911, p<.001), and perceived social support (t=-2.891, p<.05) increased significantly. Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrated that the ISMP is an effective program for relieving stress level, and increasing positive mood, life satisfaction, and social support for elders in a rural community.

  • 의료산업분야에서도 헬스케어 공급망관리는 서비스품질 개선과 운영비용 절감을 위한 핵심도구로 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 특히 대형병원의 경우 서비스품질 제고와 병행하여 지속적으로 증가하기만 하는 헬스케어비용을 줄이기 위해 노력하는 현 상황에서 공급망 부문의 성과제고는 전략적으로 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 본 논문은 공급망관리를 통해 대형병원의 성과제고에 기여할 수 있는 병원운영상의 전략적 이슈에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 기존 연구논문 및 관련 자료분석을 통해 대형병원의 헬스케어 공급망관리의 기본 틀을 제시하고 운영 과정상의 정보 가시성과 공유 그리고 표준화 등이 핵심 요소임을 논리적으로 제시하였다. 또한 실제적인 공급망 운영을 위해 효율적인 계획수립과 운영프로세스, 각종 기자재의 추적가능성 극대화를 위한 RFID 활용, 의약품과 각종 소모품재고 절감을 위한 크로스 도킹시스템의 도입도 제안하였으며, 본 연구에서 논의한 공급망관리 운영기법에 대한 시사점도 제시하였다.

High-resolution ALMA Study of the Proto-Brown-Dwarf Candidate L328-IRS

  • We present our observational attempts to precisely measure the central mass of a proto-brown dwarf candidate, L328-IRS, in order to investigate whether L328-IRS is in the substellar mass regime. Observations were made for the central region of L328-IRS with the dust continuum and CO isotopologue line emission at ALMA band 6, discovering the detailed outflow activities and a deconvolved disk structure of a size of ${\sim}87AU{\times}{\sim}37AU$. We investigated the rotational velocities as a function of the disk radius, finding that its motions between 130 AU and 60 AU are partially fitted with a Keplerian orbit by a stellar object of ${\sim}0.30M_{\odot}$, while the motions within 60 AU do not follow any Keplerian orbit at all. This makes it difficult to lead a reliable estimation of the mass of L328-IRS. Nonetheless, our ALMA observations were useful enough to well constrain the inclination angle of the outflow cavity of L328-IRS as ${\sim}66^{\circ}$ degree, enabling us to better determine the mass accretion rate of ${\sim}8.9{\times}10^{-7}M_{\odot}yr-1$.From assumptions that the internal luminosity of L328-IRS is mostly due to this mass accretion process in the disk, or that L328-IRS has mostly accumulated the mass through this constant accretion rate during its outflow activity, its mass was estimated to be ${\sim}0.012-0.023M_{\odot}$, suggesting L328-IRS to be a substellar object. However, we leave our identification of L328-IRS as a proto-brown dwarf to be tentative because of various uncertainties especially regarding the mass accretion rate.

4차 산업혁명시대 엔지니어링 기술자 등급체계의 개선전략 탐구 (A Study on the Improvement of Engineer Rating System in the Age of 4th Industrial Revolution)

  • This study theoretically examines the essence of the competencies, qualifications and grades newly required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, points out that the engineer rating system does not reflect the new talent and practical capability, and conducts theoretical and empirical analyzes on improvement of the rating system. The current rating system need to be improved because it is not possible for graduates and experience workers to upgrade. Also, it is reasonable that the current highest grade of engineer, the Professional Engineer, which is a sort of qualification, is not a grade but a function of calculating the grade. Based on this theoretical background, empirical analysis of the question investigation and focus group interview shows that the rating system should be improved to four grades or return to the previous system in 2013. And if it is reduced to four grade, it should go in the way that the professional engineer and the qualified engineer combined. In the industry, the future skills of engineers are as follows : qualification, ability to use emerging technology, problem solving, understanding and utilization of major, and data management, etc. These can be summarized as qualification, education (degree) and career. In particular, the engineering industry considers qualifications, degrees, and career experience, and career experience as the most important elements of the rating system. In this regard, it is necessary to introduce a method that accurately reflects the career experience in the improvement of the engineer rating system.

수업 활성화를 위한 스마트폰 앱·시스템 설계 방안 (Smartphone Applications/System Design Plan for Class Activation)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 95%이상의 청소년들이 소유하고 있는 스마트폰을 학교 수업에 활용하는 방안을 탐색하고자 스마트폰 활용 시스템을 설계하였다. 먼저 청소년 관련 요인과 스마트폰 수업 활용의 선행연구에 나타난 주의산만, 의존도, 동기부여, 협동심 고취 요인을 기반으로 필요 기능을 선정한 후에 학생, 교사, 부모의 교육적 역할에 따라 세 버전의 앱을 설계하였다. 이 앱을 이용함으로써 학생은 자율학습, 학습동기 부여, 활발한 상호작용이 가능하고 교사는 학생들과 더욱 밀착하여 세밀한 피드백을 하면서 수업의 질을 개선해 나갈 수 있으며 부모는 학생의 안전한 스마트폰 사용 학습을 확인할 수 있다. 이 방안으로 학교 수업에서 스마트폰 사용이 활성화되어 교육 효과를 높이는 데 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.
