  • The diagnosis and treatment of cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) is still a challenge. A systematic literature search was performed using Embase, Medline, The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Clinical Trials for the diagnosis and treatment of cow's milk allergy (CMA). Since none of the symptoms of CMPA is specific and since there is no sensitive diagnostic test (except a challenge test), the diagnosis of CMPA remains difficult. A "symptom-based score" is useful in children with symptoms involving different organ systems. The recommended dietary treatment is an extensive cow milk based hydrolysate. Amino acid based formula is recommended in the most severe cases. However, soy infant formula and hydrolysates from other protein sources (rice) are gaining popularity, as they taste better and are cheaper than the extensive cow's milk based hydrolysates. Recent meta-analyses confirmed the safety of soy and estimate that not more than 10-15% of CMPA-infants become allergic to soy. An accurate diagnosis of CMA is still difficult. The revival of soy and the development of rice hydrolysates challenge the extensive cow's milk based extensive hydrolysates as first option and amino acid formula.

  • The main contribution of the present paper is to propose an intelligent fuzzy inference system approach for modeling the debonding strength of masonry elements retrofitted with Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP). To achieve this, the hybrid of meta-heuristic optimization methods and adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is implemented. In this study, particle swarm optimization with passive congregation (PSOPC) and real coded genetic algorithm (RCGA) are used to determine the best parameters of ANFIS from which better bond strength models in terms of modeling accuracy can be generated. To evaluate the accuracy of the proposed PSOPC-ANFIS and RCGA-ANFIS approaches, the numerical results are compared based on a database from laboratory testing results of 109 sub-assemblages. The statistical evaluation results demonstrate that PSOPC-ANFIS in comparison with ANFIS-RCGA considerably enhances the accuracy of the ANFIS approach. Furthermore, the comparison between the proposed approaches and other soft computing methods indicate that the approaches can effectively predict the debonding strength and that their modeling results outperform those based on the other methods.

  • In this paper, we suggest the active multi-agent middleware for the sensor network application. For this, firstly we design and implement the active rule based mobile agent middleware. The mobile agent in the proposed system visits the destination sensor nodes according to the migration list offered by the meta table in the name space of the naming agent, acquires and transmits sensor data according to the purpose and needs through the active rules, and directly executes the actions corresponding to the optional events(changed sensor data and/or time etc.). And then, we show the potential applicability of the active rule based mobile agent middleware in various active sensor networks through the interaction with the rule base system and context database system.

  • As small sized bio-sensors and digital yarns are developed, digital wear measuring vital signs can be used for individuals' health, the elderly care and sports activities. This paper discusses a database structure for analyzing stress state, pulses, positions, exercise amount of user based on vital signs measured for 24 hours measured by the wear and GPS information, and a storage for storing XML documents following a standard HL7 meta-model. By analyzing the stored information, the system identifies the stress state and exercise amount of users. Pulses, exercise intensity and emergency situations can be also detected by the system in real time. This paper discusses the implementation of a system enabling to acquire and analyze vital signals to understand user behavior patterns.

  • Recently, the service of the technical information(journals, proceedings) which are taken in from abroad and provided has some difficulties to make users acquire the information with ease because the bibliographic information, article and document delivery service are not linked to the related organizations. In this paper we propose to supply a high-degree retrieval service by the systematic and unitary DB construction and management and to make a nation-wide efficient management and cooperation system of the foreign technical information from abroad as building up the assigning a part of the location guide and document delivery service and cooperation system of the bibliographic information from the foreign technical resources.

  • Purpose: To understand the recent trend of studies for nursing job stress, we collected Korean articles about job stress of clinical nurses. Method: Seventy two articles were selected from the database of "richis", Korean journals of related academic society, and dissertation papers, which are presented from 1981 to 2002. Result: The trend shows that the number of researches for the job stress of clinical nurses are increasing from the year of 1996. Most of the researches are for dissertation papers (75.0%), have done surveys (90.3%), and used questionnaires (94.4%). The nurses who were studied have their jobs in general wards of hospitals (50.6%). And 36.1% of the researches used the tool of Kim and Gu (1984) to measure job stress. These researches focused mainly on job satisfaction, burnout and coping successively. Conclusion: As only 6 out of 72 researches examined in this study have experimental design (8.3%), it can be said that more experimental studies are needed in this area. And we might also consider to use meta-analytic techniques for further studies, because these researches have used very similar tools for the same subject.

  • To solve of complex problems for access and management data stored in the very large spatial database system that need to constructed metadata for the physical and logical elements concerned with spatial and non-spatial data sets. Also, in the underground water management system which managed with spatial and non-spatial elements, need to spatial features metadata system based on feature-based. We, in this paper, proposed metadata model for the feature-based underground water management system using underground water meta-information inputted on the DXF formatted tile-based geological maps. Additional, we modeled metadata level of feature and data set and presented standard specification of underground water metadata.

  • Using object relationship table, this study proposes an efficient indexing technique for accessing both aggregation and inheritance hierarchies in object- oriented databases. This indexing technique uses the information on the aggregation and inheritance relationship between classes and the information on referencing instances as meta data. As a result, the technique makes it possible to effectively evaluates various queries navigating between tables. The study compares the proposed technique with the existing indexing techniques and discusses its useful- ness. It also provides the result of simulating its performance in terms of storage and retrieval cost.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the papers on nursing in the KJHSM (Korean Journal of Health Service Management) (2007-2018), to identify the research trends and to help the future development of nursing research. Methods: The data collection was carried out from September 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019. The 78 copies of the original text were provided by the KSHSM website, DBpia, and NDSL (National Digital Science Library) electronic database. Results: Forty-seven studies had a non-experimental design, with most having a descriptive research design (89.3%). The most common participants were nurses (55.7%) and nursing college students (26.1%). A questionnaire was the most commonly used research tools (96.2%) and data collection methods (95.0%). The major keywords were the terms included in the environmental domain among the meta-paradigms of nursing (43.6%). Conclusions: In order to expand the quantity and quality of nursing science in the KSHSM, efforts are needed to improve the quality of research participants, research tools, and sampling methods.

  • It has lately been difficult to share the research outcomes information due to the information system not being compatible with one another. To solve this problem, it is believed that a meta data standard needs to be developed for all the institutions to follow. This paper shows how to make the research outcome of Science and Technology R&D project a standard metadata. We first classified all the research outcome into the following seven groups: Report, Journal article, Presentation material, Book, Dissertation, Industrial rights, and Technology development. We then identified three components that constitute a standard metadata. We employed the Dublin Core Metadata Set and CERIF(Common European Research Information Format) for worldwide interoperability. This Standard can be applied in the following areas: 1) Developing a standard architecture to manage research result within the organization. 2) Designing a conceptual/logical database to measure and evaluate the research outcome. 3) Developing a metadata system for research outcome as a subsystem of an Industrial Technology MDR (Metadata Registry) System.
