  • Predictive maintenance has been considered fundamental in the industrial applications in the last few years. It contributes to improve reliability, availability, and maintainability of the systems and to avoid breakdowns. These breakdowns could potentially lead to system shutdowns and to decrease the production efficiency of the manufacturing plants. The present article aims to study how predictive maintenance could be planed into the production scheduling, through a systematic review of literature. . The review includes the research articles published in international journals indexed in the Scopus database. 165 research articles were included in the search using #predictive maintenance# AND #production scheduling#. Press articles, conference and non-English papers are not considered in this study. After careful evaluation of each study for its purpose and scope, 50 research articles are selected for this review by following the 2020 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Protocols (PRISMA) statement. A benchmarking of predictive maintenance methods was used to understand the parameters that contributed to improve the production scheduling. The results of the comparative analysis highlight that artificial intelligence is a promising tool to anticipate breakdowns. An additional impression of this study is that each equipment has its own parameters that have to be collected, monitored and analyzed.

  • The application of efficient constraint handling technique is fundamental method to find better solutions in engineering optimization problems with constraints. In this research four of constraint handling techniques are used with a meta-heuristic optimization method, harmony search algorithm, and the efficiency of algorithm is evaluated. The sample problem for evaluation of effectiveness is one of the typical discrete problems, optimal pipe size design problem of water distribution system. The result shows the suggested constraint handling technique derives better solutions than classical constraint handling technique with penalty function. Especially, the case of ${\varepsilon}$-constrained method derives solutions with efficiency and stability. This technique is meaningful method for improvement of harmony search algorithm without the need for development of new algorithm. In addition, the applicability of suggested method for large scale engineering optimization problems is verified with application of constraint handling technique to big size problem has over 400 of decision variables.

  • If a file system is damaged because of the unusual system close, the system performs the consistency test using fsch and it takes long time. Especially, if it is a big file system, it will take a lot of time. The journaling file system that uses journaling technique, can reduce the restoring time because it uses meta data and it may increase the chance of restoration when restoring. The goal of this paper compared performance evaluation journaling file systems focused on the reading and writing using Iozone tool which is the kernel based benchmarking tool in linux operating system. In this paper, Ex4 which is the current basic Linux file system. is 1.28x faster than XFS file system in terms of file read performance and 1.22x faster than Ext3 file system in terms of file write performance.

  • This paper presents an extensive experimental comparison of a variety of multi-label learning methods for the accurate prediction of subcellular localization of proteins which simultaneously exist at multiple subcellular locations. We compared several methods from three categories of multi-label classification algorithms: algorithm adaptation, problem transformation, and meta learning. Experimental results are analyzed using 12 multi-label evaluation measures to assess the behavior of the methods from a variety of view-points. We also use a new summarization measure to find the best performing method. Experimental results show that the best performing methods are power-set method pruning a infrequently occurring subsets of labels and classifier chains modeling relevant labels with an additional feature. futhermore, ensembles of many classifiers of these methods enhance the performance further. The recommendation from this study is that the correlation of subcellular locations is an effective clue for classification, this is because the subcellular locations of proteins performing certain biological function are not independent but correlated.

  • In recent years, the use of broadband bandwidth and redundant links for stable transmission in networks has resulted in excessive energy consumption and reduced transmission efficiency. In this paper, we propose an optimization algorithm that reduces the number of transmission links and minimizes transmission energy by removing redundant traffic in networks where traffic redundancy is allowed. The optimization algorithm proposed in this paper uses the meta-heuristic method using Tabu search algorithm. The proposed optimization algorithm minimizes transmission energy by designing a neighborhood generation method that efficiently routes overlapping traffic. The performance evaluation of the proposed optimization algorithm was performed in terms of the number of links used to transmit all traffic generated in the network and the transmission energy consumed. From the performance evaluation results, it was confirmed that the proposed algorithm is superior to other algorithms previously proposed.

  • In order to reduce transmission delay and increase reliability in networks, mainly high-performance and high-power network equipment is used to guarantee network quality. In this paper, we propose an optimization algorithm to minimize the energy consumed when transmitting traffic in networks with a bundle link composed of multiple physical cables. The proposed optimization algorithm is a meta-heuristic method, which uses tabu search algorithm. In addition, it is designed to minimize transmission energy by minimizing the cables on the paths of the source and destination nodes for each traffic. In the proposed optimization algorithm, performance evaluation was performed in terms of the number of cables used in the transmission and the link utilization for all traffic on networks, and the performance evaluation result confirmed the superior performance than the previously proposed method.
