Design of Elliptical Gears for Wire Cutting (타원형 기어의 와이어커팅을 위한 설계)

  • The CAD model of a elliptical gear for wire cutting has been developed. The rolling contact of pitch ellipses whose rotation axes coincide with their focus has been analyzed, and the perimeter of the pitch ellipse has been divided into equal-length segments by the number of teeth. A master tooth profile, which is a composite curve of circular arcs that represents involute, has been introduced. The elliptical gear has been designed by imposing the master tooth on the divided points of the pitch ellipse, and a full fillet has been achieved between neighbour teeth. Thus, the whole profile of an elliptical gear is a composite curve of arcs only, and consequently NC codes for wire cutting can be easily generated. Furthermore, a computer simulation program is developed to verify the mesh of the elliptical gear.

  • Wireless Mesh Network expanded the capability of the conventional wireless networking by allowing the nodes to operate in proactive mode, reactive mode or the combination of both, the hybrid mode in the multi-hopping nature. By doing so, the links between the nodes become much more robust and reliable because of the number of paths to reach a destination node from a source node can be more than 1 and do not need to rely on the access point (AP) alone to relay the messages. As there may be many possible ways to form an end-to-end link between 2 nodes, the routing security becomes another main concern of the 802.11s protocol. Besides its reliance on the 802.11i for the security measures, 802.11s also includes some new features such as the Mesh Temporal Key (MTK) and the Simultaneous Authentication of Equals (SAE). The authentication and key management (AKM) process of 802.11s were observed in this paper.

  • The static charges are generated by streaming electrification phenomena when insulating oil flowing by force for the purpose of cooling at the internal of Ultra-high power transformer. In this thesis, their elimination method was studied. The falter represents a greet much electrification characteristics because falter has large interfaces with liquid. In this paper, the streaming-electrification phenomena of insulating oil by metal filter were measured by mesh number, oil flow rate, oil temperature and a kind of mesh and The effect of charge elimination by metal filter generated minus ion was measured.

  • One of the most famous proactive routing protocols, DSDV (Destination -Sequenced Distance-Vector), is based on the minimum hop count. This paper suggests BIMP(Bypass Information Multi-Path) DSDV routing protocol that this protocol could route reliably as it can take the information of the bypass for the solution of the problem on EHMP DSDV. In this paper, the protocol checks throughput, packet delivery delay, packet delivery ratio, number of management messages, packet transmit finish time, etc on the traffic compared to DSDV, HMP DSDV, and EHMP DSDV protocols.

  • In this paper, the problem of obtaining topoloty for mesh network given the link costs and traffic requirements between all pairs of nodes is considered. The proposed DCN algorithm can be applied to the mesh network in a unified manner. Among the cost conditions, the triangle intequality of the MENTOR algorithm is removed in the proposed algorithm. The computational complexity of the algorithm is order N$^{3}$, where N is the number of nodes in the network. The performances of proposed algorithm are better than those of the MENTOR algorithm in the case of the cost and the reliability of network.

  • Four screen mesh counts of 100, 150, 200, and 305 threads per inch are chosen and a designed test figure is exposed on them for printing experiment to measure the ink deposit thickness. Among a number of variables, the ink viscosity, the screen gap and the squeegee pressure and speed are estimated with their effected thickness. These variables affect as much as around 50% compared with the theoretical ink volume listed by the mesh manufacturer and each variable has different influence on the thickness. The data and graphs have been analyzed for the thick film production.

  • A study was made of the influence of butyl alcohol on the distribution coefficients of barium and mercury ions between the ion exchange resin, Dowex 50w-x8, 200~400 mesh and solutions containing hydrochloric acid, butyl alcohol and water. The determination of the distribution coefficients of barium and mercury are made by using the batch method. The distribution coefficients of metal ions decrease generally as the number of branches of carbon in the molecule of butyl alcohol increase. It shows that solubility in water and stereo-isomerism of the butyl alcohol have influence upon the distribution coefficient of barium and mercury.

  • In our study, by observing and analyzing normal liver in abdominal CT image, we estimated gray value range and generated binary image. In the binary image, we achieved the number of hole which is located between pixels. Depending on the ratio, we processed the input image to 4 kinds of mesh images to remove the noise part that has the different ratio. With the Union image of 4 kinds of mesh images, we generated the template representing general outline of liver and subtracted from the binary image so the we can represent the organ boundary to be minute. With results of proposed method, processing time is reduced compared with existing method and we compared the result image to manual image of medical specialists.

  • WDM SHR has advantages compared to SDH SHR in both cost and capacity But, wavelengths should be carefully assigned not to clash with each other and the number should be minimum. In this study, a heuristic algorithm, which is efficient in practical situations where the traffic pattern is not full-mesh or more than one wavelength is required for connecting some specific nodes, is suggested. The performance of the suggested algorithm is compared with that of the convential algorithm.

A Distributed Sequential Link Schedule Combined with Routing in Wireless Mesh Networks

  • This letter proposes a new distributed scheduling scheme combined with routing to support the quality of service of real-time applications in wireless mesh networks. Next, this letter drives average end-to-end delay of the proposed scheduling scheme that sequentially schedules the slots on a path. Finally, this letter simulates the time division multiple access network for performance comparison. From the simulation results, when the average number of hops is 2.02, 2.66, 4.1, 4.75, and 6.3, the proposed sequential scheduling scheme reduces the average end-to-end delay by about 28%, 10%, 17%, 27%, and 30%, respectively, compared to the conventional random scheduling scheme.
