국내(國內) 유아복(幼兒服) 브랜드 상품기획(商品企劃) 실태조사(實態調査) 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Merchandising Conditions for Local Infants' Wear Brands)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to designing a scientific and systematic merchandising program for infants' wear brands. For this purpose, designer and MD working for 8 local infants' wear brands were surveyed to analyze the conditions of their designing and merchandising of infants' wears. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. Only 3 brands employed MD for their merchandising departments. The average number of clothing designers employed by the subject brands was 3-5, while that of colorists was 1-2, and that of accessory designers was 2-3. On the other hand, the average number of patternmakers employed was about 1, while that of sewer was 4. 2. Many of the sample infants' wear brands tended to collect and analyze the information for merchandising, while most of them relied less on outside planned data. The information source upon which they relied most was 'local and foreign fashion magazine', followed by 'data surveyed by local and foreign department stores' and 'data surveyed for local fabric markets' in their order. Meanwhile, the main color represented 70-90% of the total colors, while the pastel groups accounted for 30-40% and vivid color groups for 40-50%. On the other hand, knit accounted for about 60% of their materials, while woven and sweater accounted for 30% and 10%, respectively. 3. In overall terms, most of brands felt that their brands were preferred as much as or less than their competitive brands, while consumers felt expensive for infants' wears. Namely, most consumers were dissatisfied with the price levels of infants' wears. On the other hand, consumers were found to favor the pastel color groups a little more, while being aware of each brand's sizes more or less precisely. 4. The medium upon which the infants' wear brands depended most for their advertisement was 'magazine', followed by 'radio' and 'catalogue' in their order. Most of them were analyzing the results of their sale turnover monthly or frequently in order to review their sales performances in comparison with their competitors. Most of brands bothered to program a sale strategy 4 times a year, primarily to dispose the stocks or find a breakthrough for their sales activities.

  • Sourcing Simulator is specialized form of software capable of providing great insight into merchandising decision making. It is relatively easy to learn and operate by reading the help menus, experimenting with inputs, and critically analyzing outputs. 1 see that it has great potential in a training program for new merchandisers to help them absorb the complexity of the numbers they must effectively use. The Sourcing Simulator, Version 1 that accompanies my textbook, Merchandising: Theory Principles, and Practice, 2nd ed. is the least complex version available. Two versions are available from [TC]2 - Retail version and The Retail/ Manufacturing version. The Retail Version is very similar to the Version 1. The Retail/ Manufacturing Version includes analysis of processes and costs in the manufacturing process as well as the merchandise planning component that we have discussed here. Sourcing Simulator is developed at North Carolina State University by Dr. Russ King, and available from Textile Clothing Technology Corporation $[TC]^2$, Cary, North Carolina.

유통과정 및 판매시스템을 고려한 모시유통센타의 실내계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Interior Design of Mosi Market Considering the Circulation Process and Merchandising System)

  • This study aims at alalyzing the circulation process, merchandising system of Mosi(Korean traditional garment material), and accessing the way of interior design of Mosi market. There are three kinds of garment material of Mosi such as Pilmosi, Gootmosi, Taemosi classified by manufacturing process. At Mosi market, these three materials are sold in due sequence. Mosi market needs three space zones such as Mosi market space, inspecting space of Mosi and resting place, and these three spaces have strong interrelationship, so designer should plan not to disterb the moving flow. In the Mosi market space there should be divided by three zones such as Pilmosi marketing place, Gootmosi marketing place, and Taemosi marketing place in due sequence. The furniture of Mosi market place divided two kinds such as furniture for Pilmosi and that of Gootmosi or Taemosi. The proper form of furniture for Pilmosi is circular arc bar counter and that for Gootmosi or Taemosi is low rectangular table.

  • As Korea fully entered the fashion industry in the early 1980s, the casual lifestyle trend has led the casual trend of fashion, and segmentation and specialization of the casual wear market began from the early 1990s. As of 2003, which is twelfth year after On & On's launch in 1992, this brand has succeeded in advancing into the Chinese market and has also arisen as a successful brand in the domestic market. The present research was carried out by consulting on the proposal of the marketing strategies for On & On. Firstly, in 1994 the marketing research for the consumers visiting the shop was carried out. A second investigation was conducted on the basis of the first analysis in 2003, ten after the first investigation. This research was performed to propose the future marketing strategies for On & On through an analysis of the changes of On & On consumer's purchase. This research established marketing strategies for the young casual brand.

  • Today's consumers have the behavior of purchasing that is self-value-centered and distinctly goal-conscious. Because of this trend the new shops that sell well have the characteristics that effectely transfers strong store-image. The starting point of selling is showing. To appeal to the sense of more consumers and to facilitate the act of consumption you should express more surely store and image of merchandise in the limited space of sales room. Especially in the compound living goods store which sell various items of products the role of presenting the whole merchandises attractive and organized is of utmost importance and the interior planning of show rooms and displaying the room according to the actual sales. According to this the goal of this study is to create not only the convenience of purchasing but also distinguished store image through organizing show rooms according to themes as a part of VMD strategy.
