Objectives Haenyeo are Korean professional women breath-hold divers in Jeju island. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of depressed Haenyeo group, compared to non-Haenyeo depressed group. Methods This study included 75 Haenyeo and 340 non-Haenyeo with depressive disorders recruited from the Dementia Early Detection Program in Jeju island. Structural diagnostic interviews were performed using the Korean version of Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview. All patients completed the questionnaires, including the Subjective Memory Complaints Questionnaire (SMCQ), the Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15), and the Blessed dementia scale. Depression was evaluated by the Korean version of short form the Geriatric Depression Scale (K-SGDS) and cognition was assessed by the Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD) assessment packet. Results Although the mean scores of the K-SGDS were similar between Haenyeo and non-Haenyeo depressed groups, the Haenyeo group showed a higher mean score on the PSQ-15 (p < 0.001, ANCOVA adjusting for age, the K-SGDS and education). The Haenyeo group showed poorer performance on the Korean Version of Frontal Assessment Batter (p < 0.001), the Mini-Mental State Examination in the Korean version of the CERAD Assessment Packet (p < 0.018), the word fluency test (p < 0.001), and the word list memory test (p = 0.012) in ANCOVA adjusting for age and education. The mean SMCQ score was higher in the Haenyeo depressed group than in the non-Haenyeo depressed group. Conclusions The Haenyeo depressed group shows cognitive dysfunction, especially frontal lobe dysfunction, compared to the non-Haenyeo depressed group, indicating the Haenyeo depressed group may have more severe frontolimbic dysfunction due to chronic exposure to hypoxia. The Haenyeo depressed group suffers more somatic symptoms than the non-Haenyeo depressed group.
To investigate the factors which affecting the cognitive impairment of the 60 or more age group, the authors surveyed for the subjects in some area of Kyungnam Province. 201 studied subjects were tested for cognitive function with mini-mental state examination(MMSE). Information on demographic characteristics and life style has been collected through direct interview. The concentration of Ai and Ca of subject's drinking water, which might be related with cognition, was measured by Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Spectrometer. The main results were summarized as follows. 1. The prevalence rate of cognitive impairment was 18.4% in male and 45.2% in female and this sexual difference was statistically significant(p=0.03). And the uneducated or illiterated showed significantly high prevalence rate of cognitive impairment(p=0.02). 2. In stratified analysis by sex md education year, we can not see significant trend indicating the neurotoxic effects of aluminum and protective effects of calcium to the cognitive function(p>0.05). 3. The correlation between the concentration of aluminum in drinking water and the MMSE score in whole subjects showed weak negative relationship(r=-0.066). But there was no statistical significance(p=0.434).
Many a number of policies have been tried to reduce auto accidents so far, but it is obvious that further studies are still needed to find a more fundamental and multi-dimensional preventive measure with effect. The National Mental Health Statistics shows that the most profound forms of negative emotions, that is, depression and anxiety, have been increasing, but studies on such a topic are scarce to find. Therefore, we conducted a structural analysis between the negative emotions, including depression and anxiety, of drivers and their driving behaviors using a Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) technique. The review of past literature and studies indicated that not all of human emotions manifest themselves as the ultimate behaviors because they go through emotion regulation Strategies. For this reason, the purpose of this study was set to analyze the structural model developed in this study reflecting the emotion regulation strategies. The result of our analysis showed that the driver's negative emotion had a more significant influence on dangerous driving behaviors than safe ones, and especially, the expressive suppression strategy was found to be the highest factor. Also, the total effect analysis with the negative emotional factors showed that expressive suppression had more significant influence compared to that of cognitive reappraisal. The implication of this study might provide a better understanding on driving behaviors of the drivers and could be used as a fundamental study for future policy development to reduce traffic accidents.

Today. the mental health has a great deal of impact on individuals and the society surrounding. Therefore. this research is to propose a way of bibliotherapical intercession by stages and patterns as to examine the recovery process of students with negative emotion by using the grounded theoretical method. This research collected materials through focus-interview, participant observation and book reports of 4 experiments involving female college students aged from 21 to 23, all having emotional and psychological difficulties. The recovery process of female students with negative emotion involved causal factors such as "recognition of hidden wound" "Sense of inferiority", and "difficulty in forming relationships", as well as contextual factors like "sympathetic attitude". which altogether brought about the core phenomenon. "pursuit for healthy ego". This core phenomenon induced to recovering the bright and positive attitude through using the strategies of 'self insight' and application of 'management plan', influence by such incoherent conditions as 'intimate surroundings' and $\setminus$ 'support system patterns'. And as time passed. the recovery process appeared tin four stages: 'issues recognition'. 'emotional responses', 'issue solution' and 'self application'.

We found that there was a difference in the developmental change of personality 5 factor according to sex and grade. In addition, we investigated the timing and characteristics of adolescent problem behavior by analyzing the sub - factors of neurosis. Analysis was used for One-Way ANOVA. if there is significant differences we proceeded post hoc tests. The results of this study are as follows; first, The five personality traits of the adolescents showed differences according to gender. The girls were higher than boys in the Openness, Conscientiousness and Extraversion. In contrast, the boys were higher than girls in the Neuroticism. Second, There was a difference in the characteristics of five personality traits of adolescents according to grade. Third, Gender-specific developmental grade tendency characteristics of adolescent personality trait shows a different pattern in gender. Especially, in the analysis by gender and grade boys showed that personality traits prominent in the middle school Grade 2. likewise, girls showed that personality traits prominent in the high school Grade 3. Then, associated with Neuroticism the Externalizing behavior problems was found to be expressed in the middle school Grade 1 and 2. likewise, the Internalizing behavior problems was found to be expressed in high school Grade 3. Endoglucanase A from Clostridium thermocellum which is resistant to pancreatic proteinase was selected out of numbers cellulases then were expressed in lactobacilli. Recombinant lactobacilli expression vector, pSD1, harboring the endoglucanase gene from C. thermocellum under the control of its own promoter, was constructed. Both L. bulgaricus and L. plantarum were electrotransformed with pSD1. The endoglucanase activities of 0.120 and 0.144 U/ml were found in culture media of L. bulgaricus and L. plantarum containing pSD1, respectively. In vitro survival characteristics of the transformed lactobacilli were tested. Both L. bulgaricus and L. plantarum showed a similar resistance to low pH 3. Moreover, L. plantarum was bile-salt resistant in the presence of 0.3 and 1% oxgall. L. bulgaricus and L. plantarum showed a rather homogenous resistant pattern against the tested antibiotics. Both of the strains were resistant to amikacin, gentamicin, streptomycin, kanamycin, and colistin.

The objective of this study was to verify the longitudinal reciprocal causal relationship between depression and the somatic symptoms of depression among adolescents through an autoregressive cross-lagged model using data from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey. The subjects of this study included 1,968 adolescents, who participated in the second, fourth, and sixth Korean Children & Youth Panel Surveys. The results showed that both depression and the somatic symptoms of depression at a previous point in time affect depression and the somatic symptoms of depression at a later point in time. It was also found that depression at a previous point in time has a cross-lagged effect on the somatic symptoms of depression at a later point in time, implying that more severe depression at a previous point in time leads to increased severity of somatic symptoms at a later point in time. It was found that the somatic symptoms of depression at a previous point in time have a cross-lagged effect on depression at a later point in time, indicating that more severe somatic symptoms of depression at a previous point in time lead to increased severity of depression at a later point in time. This study is significant in that it provides baseline information about nursing interventions for adolescent mental health.

This study was conducted to clarify the mediating effects of self-efficacy and organizational commitment on the level of depression associated with emotional labor and occupational stress of call center representatives. The survey subjects were 486 representatives working in four call centers in D city. Data collection was conducted using structured, self-addressed questionnaires from January 5th to 25th, 2017. The results showed that the depression level of the representatives was significantly higher in the emotional labor and occupational stress groups and higher in the low self-efficacy and organizational commitment groups. The correlations between variables revealed a positive correlation between depression, emotional labor, and occupational stress, but a negative correlation between self-efficacy and organizational commitment. Path model analysis revealed that emotional labor and occupational stress had positive effects on depression, while self-efficacy and organizational commitment was negatively influenced. In addition, self-efficacy and organizational commitment had a mediating effect on emotional labor and depression, while organizational commitment had a mediating effect on occupational stress and depression. Therefore, to reduce the depression level of call center representatives, it is necessary to reduce the emotional labor and occupational stress factors, as well as to have a mental health mediation plan to increase self-efficacy and organizational commitment.

Chuy$\check{o}$k and Naeky$\check{o}$ng which are the foundations for oriental philosophy and oriental medicine respectively have had a great influence on Oriental ideas for several thou s and years. On this study is focused on the comparative study about the two. And the results are as follows; 1. Chuy$\check{o}$k and Naeky$\check{o}$ng agree with respect to the relationship between Nature and Man, They both insist that everything should come into being through collaboration between Heaven and Earth and that Man is the noblest among them. 2. Though Chuy$\check{o}$k and Naeky$\check{o}$ng agree in regard to the authority of Man's nobility, the one stands on the opinion that Man is noble because of 'Tao'(道), while the other maintains that Man is precious because he is created and changed according to the principle of the Universe. 3. There is a slight difference between Chuy$\check{o}$k and Naeky$\check{o}$ng in the principle of Yin and Yang, and the live elements of the Chinese cosmogony. Chuy$\check{o}$k explains the change and development of everything on the basis of the principle of Yin and Yang, and make no concrete mention of the five elements of the Chinese cosmogony. While Naeky$\check{o}$ng applys the principle of Yin and Yang and the five elements of the Chinese cosmogony to the human body. 4. Though Chuy$\check{o}$k contains little knowledge of the inside of the human body in the anatomical matters, it includes some informations of the outside of the human body. But the basic physiological informations had already existed at the time. 5. Regarding the way of life cultivation. Chuy$\check{o}$k and Naeky$\check{o}$ng concurs. The two books advise to avoid unsuitable meal, overdrinking, inappropriate residence and so forth for the sake of good health. They make much of the mental harmony and maintain the accommodation to the change of Nature to keep a sound mind and body.
