This study investigates the effects of clothing consumption values and subjective age on fashion adoption. To explain the fashion adoption of elderly women, 5 dimensional consumption values were adopted as explanatory factors, and subjective age is included as a moderating factor. This study tested the relationship of variables with survey data from a convenient sample of elderly women. A total of 235 complete responses were obtained from women between 50 and 71 years of age. The results are as follows. First, factor analysis on clothing consumption values resulted in 5 dimensional structures of consumption values for the sample (epistemic, symbolic, harmonic, popular, and practical values). A factor analysis on subjective age resulted in 2 dimensions (physical and mental age). Second, epistemic, popular, harmonic (-) and symbolic values (except practical value) significantly affected fashion adoption. Third, the epistemic value was the strongest factor regardless of physical and mental age but the effects of epistemic, popular, harmonic, symbolic, and practical values changed depending on the level of the moderating factor.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the social maturity of sustained sport-for-all participants on their physical and mental health. The subjects in this study were 190 company employees who were selected by convenience sampling from among the residents in Gangwon Province. The selected office workers continued to participate in sport-for-all programs. After a survey was conduced from November 7 to 25, 2011, the statistical package SPSS WIN 18.0 was employed to analyze the collected data. To find out the general characteristics of the subjects, frequency analysis was made, and the reliability test of the instrument and factor analysis were carried out. Descriptive statistics analysis was made by factor, and multiple regression analysis was utilized to look for connections among their variables. As a result, it's found that the social maturity of the sustained sport-for-all participants made a significant difference to their physical health, and that their social maturity made a significant difference to mental health as well. As sustained sport-for-all participation was found to be correlated to their physical and mental health, office workers should be given a chance to participate in sport-for-all on a long-term basis.

Purpose: This study was done to test the validity and reliability of the Adolescent Mental Problem Questionnaire (AMPQ) for Korean high school students. Methods: The AMPQ was designed to assess adolescents', mental health status and problem behavior (Ahn, 2006). A methodological study design was used with exploratory factor analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and a fitness of the modified model for validity. Also, Cronbach's alpha coefficients and alternative-form method for reliability were used. AMPQ was tested with a sample of 36,313 high school students. The participants consisted of 18,701 males and 17,612 females. Results: Seven factors were extracted through factor analysis: 'Psychiatric problems', 'Delinquency', 'Academic troubles', 'Family problems', 'Hazardous behavior', 'Harmful circumstance', 'Eating problems'. These factors explained 51.1% of the total variance. The fitness of the modified model was good ($X^2$=38,413.76, Goodness of Fit Index [GFI]=.94, Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index [AGFI]=.93, Comparative Fit Index [CFI]=.95, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation [RMSEA]=.05), and concurrent validity with Korea-Youth Self-Report [K-YSR] was .63. Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the 31 items was .85. Conclusion: The results of present study suggest that the modified AMPQ instrument may be useful for efficiently assessing mental health status and problem behavior in late adolescent, high school students.
This study was examined the influence of self-esteem and empathy ability on attitude toward mental illness of nursing college students. The subjects were 256 nursing students who recruited from one college. Data collected from August 29 to September 9, 2019. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 25.0 program. The major findings were as follow; 1) There were significant differences in attitude toward mental illness according to grade, satisfaction for major and mental health volunteer experiences. 2) The attitude toward mental illness was positively correlated with self-esteem, cognitive empathy ability and emotional empathy ability. 3) Factors significantly influencing attitude toward mental illness were grade and cognitive empathy ability and these factors accounted for 23% of attitude toward mental illness. Through this study, cognitive empathy ability was confirmed as a factor affecting the attitude toward mental illness of nursing college students.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate community mental health professionals and hospital workers attitude and awareness towards suicide. Methods : This study investigated 264 community mental health professionals and 228 hospital workers. SOQs (Suicidal Opinion Questionnaires) were used from July 2007 to September 2007. After a factor analysis for the attitude towards suicide, the items on ethics, mental illness, religion, risk, and motivation were included in the subsequent analysis. Results : There were significant differences in the attitude towards suicide according to religion, age, educational background, the marriage status, the economic position, and different professional licenses. Hospital workers' view was different from the community workers'. The hospital workers judged that suicide was due to mental illness, and suicide was high for the people in a special environment and who lacked motivation, which caused them to fall in a dangerous situation. For the lower educational group, they thought that suicide was attributable to mental illness. The awareness for suicide was significantly higher in the group with a postgraduate education, unmarried people, mental health professionals and the persons who had concern and experience with suicide. The factors that had an influence on the awareness of suicide were the items of mental illness, religion, risk and motivational factors. Conclusions : This study suggested that the factors to increase the awareness and attitude for suicide were the experience of increased education and case management of suicide. Therefore, education dealing with suicide and reinforcement of crisis management programs should be developed.
Objectives : Severe mental illness is a major risk factor for suicide. This study aimed to identify characteristics of patients who died by suicide among subjects who had been received service from a community mental health center. Methods : We searched individuals who had committed suicide in Gwangju Bukgu Community Mental Health Center since 2006. Sociodemographic and clinical data were gathered from medical records and their case managers and they were compared with those of general members in the center. Characteristics of schizophrenia patients who died by suicide were particularly summarized. Results : Twelve person committed suicide between 2006 and 2016. The characteristics of those who died by suicide were male (67%), diagnosis of schizophrenia (75%), aged below 50 (83%), unemployed (92%), past history of psychiatric hospitalization (100%), recent admission within 3 months (67%), past history of suicidal attempt (78%), family history of schizophrenia (58%), poor adherence to medication (58%), and use of daily rehabilitation program (42%). Ten out of twelve (83%) showed warning sign for suicide. All identified method of suicide in patients with schizophrenia was jumping from high building. Many patients with schizophrenia, who committed suicide, suffered from comorbid depressive symptoms (67%) and auditory hallucination (78%). Conclusion : Case managers should pay attention to and carefully manage individuals who showed suicidal warning, particularly with risk factors for suicide, such as unemployment, admission state or recent discharge from psychiatric hospital, poor adherence to medication, family history of schizophrenia, and a history of suicidal attempt.
The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of positive psychological capital as an protective factor and mental health as an risk factor on the relationship between smart phone addiction and self life management of university students. The following are the results of the analysis on the measures of smart-phone addiction, positive psychological capital, mental health and self life management among the 266 college students. First, the analysis of the correlation between relevant factors, smart-phone addiction showed a significant amulet correlation between self life management and positive psychological capital and a significant static correlation between mental health. Second, the positive psychological capital showed a mediate effect as a result of the analysis of university students' smart-phone addiction and self life management. Third, the results of a regression analysis between positive psychological capital and psychosomatic health sub-factors, optimism and resilience in the positive psychological capital and Depression and Impulsion in mental health, had a significant impact on managing self-life management Based on the results of this study, we discussed educational implications for the management of university students ' lives and suggestions for further research.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with the mental health-related quality of life (MHQoL) of Korean workers. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study of 192 Korean pay workers who worked in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province, Korea. Data were collected from May 15 to July 2, 2019, through selfreported questionnaires. The survey had a total of 87 questions including individual, organizational, and psychosocial factors. MHQoL was measured using short form-36 version 1. Data were divided into four domains of MHQoL and analyzed using a hierarchical linear regression model. Results: From the hierarchical linear regression analysis, when the psychosocial factors were included in the regression model, the R2 change in the four domains of MHQoL increased significantly by 19~47%. A common predicting factor associated with the four domains of MHQoL was identified as perceived stress symptoms. Other factors affecting MHQoL showed slight differences in each domain. Conclusion: Based on the study results, it is necessary to monitor the psychosocial symptoms to improve MHQoL of Korean workers. Considering each factor affecting the four areas of MHQoL, workplace-based interventions to improve MHQoL should be provided to workers.

This study was carried out to evaluate health effects of aircraft noise using THI(Todai Health Index). The questionnaire survey was conducted around the Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, Korea from 8 August to 9 September. Study subjects, 614 residents, were divided into three groups following to the aircraft noise level: under 75WECPNL(area(1)), $75{\sim}80$WECPNL(area(2)) and $80{\sim}85$WECPNL(area (3)). Twelve scale scores are converted to dichotomous variables based on scale scores of 90 percentile value or 10 percentile value in the control group. Logistic regression analysis taking twelve scores converted as the dependent variables and WECPNL(area), age, gender as the independent variables is conducted. Significant dose-response relationships are found in the scale of MOUT, DEPR, NERV, LIFE, where p denotes significance probability of trend test. Factor analysis was carried out and 2 factors are extracted which may be called "somatic factor" and "mental factor". The dose-response relationship with these factors and noise exposure is not clear. But strangely the odds ratio of mental factor in area 2 is the highest and the annoyance of this area is also higher than other areas.
