Tangible Space Initiative (TSI) is a new framework that can provide a more natural and intuitive Human Computer Interface for users. This is composed of three cooperative components: a Tangible Interface, Responsive Cyber Space, and Tangible Agent. In this paper we present a Tangible Tele-Meeting system in TSI, which allows people to communicate with each other without any spatial limitation. In addition, we introduce a method for registering a Tangible Avatar with a Tangible Agent. The suggested method is based on relative pose estimation between the user and the Tangible Agent. Experimental results show that the user can experience an interaction environment that is more natural and intelligent than that provided by conventional tele-meeting systems.

This study analyzed the association between IFRS adjustments, measured with the IFRS reconciliations, and the subsequent meeting of target earnings. IFRS adjustments include the amounts to be adjusted intentionally, as well as the differences in accounting standards. This study estimated intentional IFRS adjustments and analyzed their association with meeting target earnings. As the results of our analysis, meeting target earnings was associated positively with intentional IFRS adjustments for the total assets, was negatively associated with them for current assets, and was positively associated with them for non-current assets. Since understatement of current assets can be realized into earnings in a short period of time, it seems that current assets were underestimated intentionally in order to meet target earnings subsequently. In contrast, it is considered that non-current assets were overestimated to make them more likely to meet target earnings either by increasing the firm size or by improving financial solvency. The results of this study imply that IFRS adjustments are useful to manage earnings for meeting target earnings. Since accounting standards may be established and revised constantly, which adjustments for them may occur, the results on IFRS adjustments are expected to have implications for investors, policy-makers, and standards establishment entities.

공공기관의 회의록은 정부의 정책 결정 과정의 투명성과 공정성을 답보할 수 있는 중요한 기록물이다. 본 연구는 공공기관의 회의록의 생산과정의 이해와 함께 회의록 생산 현황과 환경 실태를 파악하여 공공기관의 회의록 생산을 활성화하기 위한 개선 방안을 제시하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 사례연구와 설문조사를 통해 회의록 생산에 대한 이해와 현황을 밝히고자 하였다. 사례연구는 미국의 회의공개법, 호주의 내각핸드북, 우리나라의 공공기록법을 분석하였다. 회의록 생산현황을 위해서는 공공기록법에서 규정하는 2012년 현재 지정회의 대상 54개 지정회의에 대해서 조사하였다. 주된 조사내용은 제도화, 회의, 생산, 담당자, 이용 및 교육으로 구성되었다. 이러한 연구방법을 통해서 도출된 개선방안은 제도적 측면, 운영 체계, 교육 측면으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 즉, 회의록의 특성을 반영한 제도적 규정이 필요하며, 이를 실제적으로 운영하는 필요한 체계가 필요하다. 또한 회의록 생산과 이용에 관한 교육 역시 필요하다.

The aim of this paper is to find out different preference of common spaces and shared activities in senior cohousing community between regions in Korea: Seoul and other cities. Social survey was conducted nationwide and the respondents were 50s only, since they are the generation who will face to elderly housing subject within 10 years in turbulent Korean society. Collected data, about 1000, were analyzed by SPSS program using frequency, percentage, and Chi-square test. In summary, respondents mostly would like to move to senior cohousing on circumstance when they remain alone without big difference between regions. Loneliness and housekeeping were considered as the most difficult issues for the elderly to manage by themselves. Among common spaces, exercise room was the most preferred space to meeting room and kitchen. Exercise room was more preferred in Seoul than in other cities, on the contrary meeting room was evidently less preferred in other cities than in Seoul. Regarding shared activities, resident meeting, gardening, and common meal were revealed as less preferred activities than hobby exercise and tea meeting. As a conclusion, I would like to propose that a big common living room is better to be designed for meeting room cum dining and gathering room with flexibility in order to give residents chances to know each other more often. And since common space and shared activity show different preferences by regions, those are to be designed and planned reflecting region's different circumstance.

구글의 모바일 앱 마켓인 구글 플레이에 신규 등록되는 안드로이드 앱의 증가 추세를 보면 안드로이드 플랫폼의 급속한 확산을 실감할 수 있다. 이러한 안드로이드 대중화의 원인 중 하나는 지속적인 플랫폼 업그레이드에 있다. 안드로이드 플랫폼 4.0 이후 버전에 추가된 기능들 중 하나는 스마트 기기들간 별도의 중간 연결매체 없이 통신할 수 있는 WiFi-Direct의 지원이다. 본 논문은 WiFi-Direct를 기반으로 한 소규모 즉석 회의를 지원하는 앱을 위한 설계 및 구현 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 즉석 회의 앱은 인터넷 접속이 용이하지 않은 상황에서 이용 가능하고, 회의 자료 공유 기능, 자료 노트 기능, 실시간 원격화면 제어 기능, 회의 참여자 그룹 지정 기능 등을 제공한다. 개발 결과는 안드로이드 플랫폼의 WiFi-Direct API들이 소규모 즉석 회의 응용 도메인에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있음을 증명한다.

한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 (Korea Young Astronomers Meeting, 이하 본 모임)은 2011년 2월 13일부터 5박6일간 제주도에서 'The 4th East Asia Young Astronomers Meeting' (이하 EAYAM2011)을 개최하였다. EAYAM은 한국, 대만, 일본, 중국 등 동아시아 4개국의 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 교류와 연구 증진을 위하여 3년에 한 번씩 열리는 모임으로, 2003년 대만, 2006년 일본, 2008년 중국에 이어 4회째를 맞이하였다. EAYAM2011에는 한국 36명, 대만 19명, 일본 14, 중국 23명, 태국 1명 등 총 93명이 참여하여 구두발표 (71편) 및 포스터 발표(23편)를 진행하였다. 초청강연은 천문연구원의 김종수 박사, ISAS/JAXA의 Munetaka Ueno 교수 (일본), 상하이 천문대의 Cheng Li 교수 (중국), ASIAA의 Jeremy Kim 교수 (대만) 등 총 4편이 있었다. 참가자들은 발표 외에도 휴식시간을 이용하여 다양한 토의를 할 수 있었으며, 셋째 날 오후에는 다 함께 성산일출봉을 방문하여 제주도의 자연 경관을 둘러보며 친분을 쌓았다. 차기 EAYAM은 4개국의 순환개최 방식에 따라 2014년경 대만에서 개최하기로 결정되었다. 또한 2010년 8월 26일부터 2박3일간 일본에서 개최된 제 4회 JKYAM (Japan-Korea Young Astronomers Meeting)에 18명이 참가하였고, 차기 KJYAM (Korea-Japan Young Astronomers Meeting)은 한국에서 2012년 2월 21일부터 3박 4일 일정으로 개최하는 것을 목표로 준비하고 있다. 그리고 2011년 8월 5일-6일에는 '한국 젊은 천문우주과학자들의 모임 정기모임'을 개최하여, 회원들이 한 자리에 모여 1년간의 활동을 정리 하고 회칙 초안의 세부조항을 논의하는 기회를 마련하였으며, 본 모임의 차기 임원진을 선출하였다.

최근 코로나 19 확산으로 비대면 화상회의에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있다. 기존의 줌, 구글 미트와 같은 서버-클라이언트 기반의 화상회의 시스템에서 서버는 회의키를 이용하여 회의 멤버 및 회의 내용을 제어한다. 만약 서버를 신뢰할 수 없다면 서버에 의한 조작 및 부정이 가능하기 때문에 회의 멤버들의 프라이버시는 보장되지 않는다. 따라서, 서버의 도움 없이 모든 참여자가 신뢰할 수 있는 회의키 생성 및 분배 기법의 개발이 필수적이다. 스마트계약은 블록체인에 저장되는 프로그램으로 블록체인의 특성상 수정될 수 없고 누구나 그 실행 결과를 검증할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트계약 기반의 회의용 키 분배 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 키 분배를 위한 스마트계약 발행, 회의키 생성 및 검증 단계로 구성된다. 스마트계약은 기존의 신뢰할 수 있는 서버의 역할을 대체하며, 회의 멤버들은 스마트계약에 구현된 프로토콜에 따라서 회의키를 생성한다. 제안한 방법은 화상회의 시스템에 적용할 수 있으며, 회의 멤버 이외의 다른 사용자들은 회의키에 접근할 수 없다.

Teleconferences have been used in business sectors to reduce traveling costs. Traditionally, specialized telephones that enabled multiparty conversations were used. With the introduction of high speed networks, we now have high definition videos that add more realism in the presence of counterparts who could be thousands of miles away. This paper presents a new technology that adds even more realism by telecommunicating with hand gestures. This technology is part of a teleconference system named SMS (Smart Meeting Space). In SMS, a person can use hand gestures to manipulate meeting data that could be in the form of text, audio, video or 3D shapes. Fer detecting hand gestures, a machine learning algorithm called SVM (Support Vector Machine) has been used. For the prototype system, a 3D interaction environment has been implemented with $OpenGL^{TM}$, where a 3D human skull model can be grasped and moved in 6-DOF during a remote conversation between distant persons.

The late Prof. Kyeok Boo Han (1913-2005) was one of the pioneers in the early stages of the establishment of thoracic surgery in Korea. He was in charge of thoracic surgery at Seoul National University Hospital from 1948 to the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950. He presented a thoracic surgical case entitled "Adhesive (constrictive) pericarditis: one surgical case" at the first academic meeting of the Chosun (an old name for Korea) Medical Association, held in 1947. This presentation is considered to be the first thoracic surgical case presented by a Korean surgeon at a domestic medical meeting after the National Liberation from Japanese colonial rule in 1945. In this regard, this study was intended to analyze the content and the meaning of the case, published in a journal in 1948.

Objective : In March 2004, the second Informal Consultation Meeting on Development of International Standard of Acupuncture Point Locations was held in Beijing, China. Methods: Thirteen experts from WHO, Korea, China, and Japan attended the meeting, and they discussed the problems to establish an international standard of acupuncture point locations for education, research and quality of acupuncture treatment. Results and Conclusions : Based on the fundamental principles of respecting and reality, they recommended to determined the location of acupuncture points in the way of combining documentary analysis, clinical practices and factual measurements.
