The policies of oriental medicine, changes of medical systems, development of oriental medical education and research activities of oriental medicine were reviewed in this paper from 1945 to 1995 and several opinions were suggested to relevant government authorities and doctors of oriental and western medicine. The history of oriental medicine had to come a long and winding road since the Political Reform in 1894. However, national effort of oriental medicine people in Korea has kept the oriental medicine as national medicine. It has been a misfortune that oriental and western medical doctors did not get along well each other. In this paper, the right direction of the medical systems for government were suggested together with timely roles of medical doctors of both oriental and western medicine. 1. Government should carry out reasonable and future-oriented medical systems. 2. Medical doctors of both oriental and western medicine should co-operate and try to promote mutual understanding. 3. Oriental medicine should be lectured in western medical college. 4. Medical researches of both oriental and western medicine should be carried out together.

Objectives Recently, the demand for complementary & alternative and personalized medical service has increased in the world. The purpose of this study was to predict the future market size of constitutional medical service in Korea through past surveyed studies Methods The portal sites of OASIS, NDSL, RISS, KISS, Koreamed, were used to select the researches related with constitutional medical service market. Total 1,477 papers were identified and 43 of them were fully reviewed. Finally, three of them picked up. Two specialists joined this review. Results and Conclusion The rate of constitutional medical service market among Korean medical service market was 23.2% in 2004 survey, 26.6% in 2007, and 23.5% in 2010. The number of Korean medical clinics and hospital was assumed 17,118 in 2020. The market size of Korean medicine was predicted 698,929 ten million won and among them, the scale of constitutional market size was 181,171 ten million won which meaned 25.9% proportion of Korean medical market size. Conclusion Constitutional medical market seems to be developed faster than Korean medical market in future.

Objectives : The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty has plenty of articles as primary historical records. The Korean medical historiy researches have also been driven from The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. About public services in Joseon dynasty related to medicine, We rarely know persons in public services, titles, levels and so on. Methods : I focused on The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty to research the titles of person in public services in early Joseon dynasty. I found 33 persons related to medicine and reorganized 21 persons who had titles. Results : I got 10 titles of public medical services and more than 15 titles of public non-medical services, which were received according to their medical services and 6 grades. Conclusions : I concluded that there were much more titles of public medical services than what we had already known and several titles and grades of public non-medical services, which were received according to their medical services.

현대 의학이 나날이 발전해 가는데 따라 관련 연구들도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 연구자가 원하는 연구의 결과를 얻기 위해서는 연구 설계, 연구 진행과 결과 분석까지 객관적이며 합리적인 방법으로 행해져야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 통계적 분석 방법이 다양하고 널리 사용 되고 있다. 본 논문은 현재 발행되고 있는 여러 의학 학술지중 네 개의 학회지를 대상으로 2004년부터 2007년까지 출판된 의학 논문에서 통계적 기법의 사용에 대해 조사하여 의학 연구에서 어떻게 적용되고 있는지 살펴보고자 한다.

External treatments have various curative effects. According to the existing researches, We have read that many external treatments have been related to obstertic and gynecologic diseases. But systemic description is very rare about external treatment of obstertic and gynecologic diseases. Therefore we would like to describe that. We have found out many sentences that have been related to external treatments about complicating childbirth and the puerperium. Comparatively often had been refered diseases are Hard Labor(難産), Dizziness(血暈) and Metroptosis(玉門不斂).

Recent technical advancement allows noninvasive measurement of blood glucose. In this literature, we reviewed various noninvasive techniques for measuring glucose concentration. Optical or electrical methods have been investigated. Optical techniques include near-infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, optical coherence technique, polarization, fluorescence, occlusion spectroscopy, and photoacoustic spectroscopy. Electrical methods include reverse iontophoresis, impedance spectroscopy, and electromagnetic sensing. Ultrasound, detection from breath, or fluid harvesting technique can be used to measure blood glucose level. Combination of various methods is also promising. Although there are many interesting and promising technologies and devices, there need further researches until a commercially available non-invasive glucometer is popular.

The origin of "Fire" in Traditional Chinese Medicine is summed up based on observation and knowledge of natural fire, followed by abstract thinking, of which the outcomes are best symbolized in the character Fire[火]. Because it is an abstract concept, it is hard to give a single and strict definition. Naturally, it would be necessary to analyze and illustrate the origin of 'Fire' from different angles such as broad definition, multi-definition, levels, classifications and effects. The concept of 'Fire' has four meanings in the aspect of the broad definition: first, natural fire; second, the physiological conception of fire; third, the medical conception of fire; fourth, general concept related to fire. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, fire mainly indicates physiologic fire, pathological fire, the fire in the six kinds of natural climate and the fire as one of the properties and the flavors of herbs.

Importance of Today's diffusion of integrated hospital information systems is that various and huge amount of data is being accumulated in their database systems. Many researchers have studied utilizing such hospital data. While most researches were conducted mainly for medical diagnosis, there have been insufficient studies to develop medical care cost prediction model, especially using machine learning techniques. In this research, therefore, we built a medical care cost prediction model for cancer patients using CBR (Case-Based Reasoning), one of the machine learning techniques. Its performance was compared with those of Neural Networks and Decision Tree models. As a result of the experiment, the CBR prediction model was shown to be the best in general with respect to error rate and linearity between real values and predicted values. It is believed that the medical care cost prediction model can be utilized for the effective management of limited resources in hospitals.

Medical internal radiation dosimetry (MIRD) is an important part of nuclear medicine research field using therapeutic radioisotope. There have been many researches using MIRD for the development of new therapeutic approaches including radiopharmaceutical, clinical protocol, and imaging techniques. Recently, radionuclide therapy has been re-focused as new solution of intractable diseases, through to the advances of previous achievements. In this article, the basic concepts of radiation and internal radiation dosimetry are summarized to help understanding MIRD and its application to clinical application.
