전문가들이 생각하는 응급의료기관 내 종사하는 1급 응급구조사에 대한 인식과 적정 업무 범위는 (The appropriate scope of work of EMT-paramedics in emergency medical institutions according to expert opinion)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to assess and improve the work scope of emergency medical technicians (EMT)-paramedics in emergency medical centers. Methods: Data were collected from February 1 to 14, 2018. The questionnaire comprised a total of 56 questions: eight general questions, six questions about the recognition of EMT-paramedics in emergency medical centers, and 42 questions about their work. Data were analyzed via frequency and correlation analysis using SPSS version 18.0. Results: Regarding the work of EMTs in emergency medical centers, positive opinions were found in 23 items, negative opinions in 4 items, and both positive and negative opinions in 9 items. Regarding the questions about the necessity, work importance, professionalism, and the need for an increase4 in EMR-paramedics, depending on respondents' career, there was no statistically significant difference between the group of beginners and the group comprising beginners and that of experienced workers (p>.200). Conclusion: The expert survey revealed that the work performance of EMT-paramedics in regional emergency medical centers was trusted and showed positive results of improvement and expansion.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the treatment pattern of treatment of patients with arthritis. The grounded theory approach methodology was used in this study. The purposive sampling was conducted. 16 subjects who experienced RA, lived in middle sized city in Korea, and all women The results of this study were as follows : 1. The process of treatment was composed of the stage of symptom experience and the stage of sick role experience. The naming of the symptom was conducted in the stage of symptom experience through, the doctor shopping. The sick role experience was patterned by the choice of the treatment mode. 2. The treatment modes were roughly devided by western medicine and oriental or ethnic medicine. Several factors which affected the choice of the treatment mode were patient's economic state, educational level, religion, the acknowledgement of the cause of illness, duration of illness, lay referral system, the relationship of medical staff, and the acculturation of medical professionalism. The key component of the decision of the treatment was the level of the acculturation of medical professionalism. To enhance the acculturation of medical professionalism, we have to provide the information of cause and the prognosis of the disease to the patients and the variety of communication channel between medical staff and patients, and we should understand the medical culture according to the ages, gender, locations in Korea.

임상실습 경험에 따른 의학전문대학원생들의 '행복한 의사' 개념 인식 비교 (Comparison of the Graduate Medical School Student's Perception Structure about 'Happy Doctor' by Clerkship Experience)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의학전문대학원생들의 '행복한 의사'에 대한 개념 인식 구조와 임상실습을 경험하기 전과 후의 인식 구조 차이를 비교 분석하여 의학교육의 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 연구대상은 의학전문대학원에 재학 중인 1~4학년 학생이었고, 개방형 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구결과, 임상실습 교육과정 전과 후에는 학생들이 공유하는 행복한 의사에 대한 개념에 차이가 나타났다. 임상실습 경험 전과 후에는 환자, 치료, 보람과 같은 단어들을 포함하는 '전문성'에 대한 하위그룹이 공통적으로 나타났다. 그러나 임상실습 경험 전에는 '개인적인 삶의 질' 그룹과 '자아실현' 그룹이 나타났다. 반면 임상실습 경험 후에는 '전문성' 그룹과 함께 '가족과의 시간' 그룹, '일과 가정생활의 균형' 그룹, '대인관계' 그룹, '신체적 정신적 건강' 그룹이 나타났다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 기본의학교육에서 행복한 의사에 대한 교육과정을 개발하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

119구급대원의 직업기초능력 요구도 및 우선순위 분석 기반 직무기초역량 제안 연구 (Defining core competencies for 119 emergency medical technicians based on the analysis of requirements and priorities of the profession)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine the core competencies for 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and to provide evidence for the development and utilization of 119 EMTs, education and training programs. Methods: Data were collected with a questionnaire that consisted of items on the general characteristics of the subjects (8 items) and importance and satisfaction levels for 10 competencies, including 34 items on subfactors. The Borich Needs Assessment Model was used in designing the questionnaire. A locus for focus model was used to derive the top priority competencies for the improvement of core competency in the profession. Data were analyzed with by SPSS ver.21 (IBM, Armonk, NY, USA). Results: The core competencies for 119 EMTs were derived from technical competency, information competency, communication competency, problem-solving competency, self-development competency and interpersonal competency. In addition, among the sub-factors of these competencies, 16 abilities (including leadership), ability to apply technical knowledge, technical comprehension, conflict management ability, ability to create documents, problem handling ability, ability to think, technical selection ability, and computer literacy were included in the priority category. Conclusion: This study derived and presented the core competencies for 119 EMTs to enable them to meet the modern day requirements of their roles, which may contribute to enhancing their professionalism.

대전지역 대학병원의 서비스 품질이 전반적인 병원 서비스 만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Service Qualities with University Hospitals in Daejeon on their Overall Service Satisfaction)

  • The study investigated the major factors in regards to the effects of service qualities with university hospitals in Daejeon on their overall service satisfaction. In regards to service qualities, the hypothesis was verified through multiple regression analysis in terms of professionalism, kindness, credibility, and facilities/environment. As a result, all professionalism(0.462), kindness(0.142), credibility(0.258) and facilities/environment(0.184) showed positive effects on their overall service satisfaction level. In particular, professionalism showed the greatest effect by 0.462. As patients' and caretakers' desire to service quality becomes diversified, the analysis result is considered to help the future medical service management at university hospitals by analyzing the major factors which affect the service quality and by finding the methods to increase the service satisfaction.

구조방정식을 이용한 치과위생사의 전문직업성, 자기효능감이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Professionalism and Self-efficacy on the Job Satisfaction of Dental Hygienists Using the Structural Equation Model)

  • 본 연구는 구조방정식을 이용한 치과위생사의 전문직업성, 자기효능감이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 616명을 대상으로 설문조사 하였으며, SPSSWIN 18.0과 AMOS 20 통계프로그램을 이용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 치과위생사의 전문직업성은 3.34점, 자기효능감 3.76점, 직무만족도 3.36점으로 나타났다. 2. 연령이 많을수록, 교육정도가 높을수록, 기혼인 경우, 근무경력이 많을수록 전문직업성, 자기효능감 및 직무만족도 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 통계적으로도 유의한 차이를 보였다. 3. 본 연구모형은 전문직업성과 자기효능감의 상관계수는 .69, 전문직업성$\rightarrow$직무만족도 경로에서는 .33, 자기효능감$\rightarrow$직무만족도 경로에서는 .59로 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 전문직업성과 자기효능감과의 상관관계는 어느 정도 있는 것으로 나타났고, 전문직업성 보다는 자기효능감이 높을수록 직무만족도가 증가하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 직무만족은 조직 내의 다양한 환경과 개인의 내적 요인에 영향을 받는다. 직무만족이 중요한 이유는 의료서비스의 질생산성과 함께, 치과위생사 개인의 삶의 질과도 연관되기 때문이다. 변화하는 시대에 대응하기 위해서는 치과위생사의 직무만족도를 증가시키기 위한 조직의 변화와 노력뿐만 아니라, 치과위생사들의 직업에 대한 확신, 전문직업성과 자기효능감을 향상시키기 위한 노력이 함께 동반되어야 한다.
