This study was done to provide basic data on the safety of professionals in medical imaging system by measuring the electromagnetic waves generated in the medical imaging system being used in medical organization. The studied medical imaging systems were general X-ray system, computed tomography(CT), ultrasonographic system, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), PET-CT and fluoroscopic system, and through these devices, electric field and magnetic field were measured and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the measured values classified by the medical organizations were not much significant, but in the measurement by the medical imaging systems, there were high hazard elements in the sequential order of electric field PET-CT($17.7{\pm}22.9$)v/m, CT($10.3{\pm}8.7$)v/m, general X-ray system ($8.8{\pm}8.8$)v/m, magnetic field general X-ray system($5.06{\pm}8.26$)mG, CT($2.71{\pm}4.53$)mG and PET-CT($0.74{\pm}0.34$)mG, the systems that adopted X-ray as main ray source, and the more aged the medical imaging systems, the greater the effects of electro-magnetic waves($10.6{\pm}15.93v/m$ for 5 years or more, $6.14{\pm}5.60v/m$ for 5 years or less). The effects of electromagnetic waves on medical imaging systems or facilities were not much when the notification of ministry of knowledge economy is considered, but in the overall perspective considering all the equipments and facility of the medical organization, such effects were significant. It is determined that sustainable safety managements of electric field and magnetic field must be done during process from medical imaging system installation to maintenance to rule out such factors.
This study was done to provide basic data on the safety of professionals in medical imaging system by measuring the electromagnetic waves generated in the medical imaging system being used in medical organization. The studied medical imaging systems were general X-ray system, computed tomography(CT), ultrasonographic(USG) system, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), PET-CT and fluoroscopic(R/F) system, and through these devices, electric field and magnetic field were measured and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the measured values classified by the medical organizations were not much significant, but in the measurement by the medical imaging systems, there were high hazard elements in the sequential order of electric field PET-CT($17.7{\pm}22.9$)v/m, CT($10.3{\pm}8.7$)v/m, general X-ray system($8.8{\pm}8.8$)v/m, magnetic field general X-ray system($5.06{\pm}8.26$)mG, CT($2.71{\pm}4.53$)mG and PET-CT($0.74{\pm}0.34$)mG, the systems that adopted X-ray as main ray source, and the more aged the medical imaging systems, the greater the effects of electro-magnetic waves($10.6{\pm}15.93v/m$ for 5 years or more, $6.14{\pm}5.60v/m$ for 5 years or less). The purpose of this study is to compare between professionalism in medical field(doctor) and architectural design field(architect) in Korea through synchronic and diachronic analysis, with basic requirement of expertise and systemicity, attitude requirement of the publicness, and structural requirement of exclusiveness and autonomy. The medical professionalism adapted by Korean government in the early period of modernization evolved from Western's professional expertise is highly divided as economy grew and society changed. In comparison, architecture was divided into architecture, urbanism, landscape, and interior architecture. Additionally, architectural field was subdivided with architectural design, engineering, construction, structure, and facilities, but architectural design focused on generalized education and practice system. From the systematical point of view, architectural design field has changed profoundly from architectural engineering as 5 year undergraduate educational system was introduced with Korean architectural accreditation. The publicness is approved through health service in medical field and safety and the public domain in architectural design field, but in reality the professionals are viewed as economic interest groups. Hence, the professionalism in both fields is required to reinforce ideology and ethics, and to practice concrete measures for publicness. Compared with the unified organization of medical field, architectural design professionalism faces various difficulties in unifying the organization, such as internal competition caused by tightened architect's requirements, along with external problems from architectural design permission demands of construction companies. In medical and architectural design professionalism, with the appearance of consumerism and stricter governmental regulations, the autonomy is weakened. From the result of comparative analysis, Korean medical field became extremely subdivided and specialized in each department, therefore integration of each disease and establishment of centers are proposed as solutions. By contrast, the reinforcement of expertise in architectural design professionalism might be necessary to strengthen autonomy caused by governmental restriction, and to form architectural culture and secure public architecture.
Objective : We evaluated a modified trans-middle temporal gyrus (MTG) approach with good postoperative visual preservation for patients with trigonal tumors. Methods : Three patients with a trigonal tumor were treated via the modified trans-MTG approach guided by a neuro-navigator. Modified trans-MTG approach involve the incision at the MTG within 5 mm to the superior temporal sulcus. This approach makes a proper trajectory to the trigone but also reduces the retraction injury of MTG as little as possible to prevent postoperative visual field defect. Preoperative and postoperative visual field examination using perimetry was performed to evaluate the visual field. Results : Three patients underwent surgery for lymphoma in the right trigone, meningioma in the left trigone, and focal enhancing nodule in the right paratrigonal area, respectively. In case of lymphoma, preoperative examination showed a left homonymous hemianopsia : one week later after surgery, a visual field examination was performed and revealed improvement of the visual field defect. In case of the meningioma, the preoperative examination showed no visual field defect : one month later, the visual field had no defect. In case of the enhancing nodule, preoperative visual field testing revealed a partial left homonymous hemianopsia. Visual examination within one month after surgery showed no visual field defect. All three patients treated with the modified trans-MTG approach showed no visual deterioration after surgery. Conclusion : The modified trans-MTG approach provides a safe and useful technique for trigonal tumors without postoperative visual field deterioration and affords adequate exposure of the trigonal tumor with a short trajectory.

Purpose: This study aimed to provide basic data for infection control education plans based on infection control awareness and performance of paramedic students during clinical field training. Methods: Data were collected from paramedic students with experience in clinical field training. The data collection period was from May 4, 2023, to June 4, 2023, and 132 copies of the collected survey were analyzed using the SPSS27.0 program. Results: Infection control awareness and performance were 4.80±0.24 points and 4.49±0.55 points out of 5, respectively. The infection control awareness of the participants according to clinical field training-related characteristics differed significantly in university education before clinical field training (t=2.100, p=.038). In addition, there were significant differences in performance in the number of clinical field training sessions (F=9.149, p=.000), hospital education before clinical field training (t=5.365, p=.000), and hospital education during clinical field training (t=3.094, p=.002). Conclusion: Before clinical field training, schools should provide infection control education that combines theory and practice suitable for hospital practice so that students can complete the infection control education organized by the hospital. Furthermore, if a university develops infection control in the clinical field training guidelines, it will have a positive impact on students' infection control performance through prior education.
It is known that fixed source to skin distance (SSD) cannot be used when the treatment field is sloped or larger than the size of second collimator in electron beam irradiation and inverse square law using effective ssd should be adopted. Effective SSDs were measured in different field sizes in each 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18MeV electron energy by suing NELAC 1018D linear accelerator of Kosin Medical Center. We found important parmeters of effective SSD. 1. Minimum effective SSD was 58.8cm in small field size of $6\pm6cm$ and maximum effective SSD was 94.9cm in large field size of $25\pm25cm$, with 6MeV energy. It's difference was 36.1cm. The dose rate at measuring point was quite different even with a small difference of SSD in small field $(6\times6cm)$ and low energy (6 MeV). 2. Effective SSD increased with field size in same electron energy. 3. Effective SSDs gradually increased with the electron energies and reached maximum at 12 or 15 MeV electron energy and decreased again at 18MeV electron energy in each identical field size. And so the effective SSD should be measured in each energy and field size for practical radiotherapy.

Purpose: In the case of mass disaster, the establishment of temporary medical facilities for the first aid and treatment is required for the stable accommodation of patients caused by the disaster. However, the criteria for decision making related to the deployment of field emergency medical facilities are not specified. So, The purpose of this study is to draw considerable factors needed for the deployment of field emergency medical facilities and to make proposal for site selection process of field emergency medical facilities on the basis of the factor. Methods: This study performs text mining of disaster-related laws, guidelines and documents to derive key factors affecting site selection, also proposes a decision making process and conducts virtual deployment to validate the process. Results: The key factors for the site selection derived as the size of the damage, the size of the DMAT inputs, the location of available place, and distance to the disaster base hospital. As a result of virtual deployment following proposed decision making process, It is confirmed that the site of field emergency medical facilities is changed depending on the type of disaster, even if the scope of the disaster damage was the same. Implications: The deployment of field emergency medical facilities requires a separate criteria for each type of disaster, not uniform, as a future research a quantitative approach of the criteria needs to be performed.
The new medical technology assessment system has a basic goal of protecting the public's health rights and promoting the development of the new medical technology with safe and effective medical technology that has been scientifically proven. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the activation of the new medical technology evaluation system by analyzing the application cases of the dental field after the implementation of the new medical technology evaluation system and proposing an efficient approach to approach the new medical technology evaluation system. The number of related literature and medical technology evaluation results are not significant in dental applications, the number of cases and the length of follow-up period of the relevant medical technology adopted as the new medical technology was far higher. As the speed of medical technology development increases, medical technology is expected to develop in the dental field as well. To introduce the medical technology to the clinical site, access to the correct direction of evidence is required to collect and objectify data at the medical site in order to prepare a literary basis for the medical technology.

We evaluated the performance of various detectors for small-field dosimetry with field sizes defined by a high-definition (HD) multileaf collimator (MLC) system. For small-field dosimetry, diodes referred to as "RAZOR detectors," MOSFET detectors, and Gafchromic EBT3 films were used in this study. For field sizes less than $1{\times}1cm^2$, percent depth doses (PDDs) and lateral profiles were measured by diodes, MOSFET detectors, and films, and absolute dosimetry measurements were conducted with MOSFET detectors. For comparison purposes, the same measurements were carried out with a field size of $10{\times}10cm^2$. The dose distributions were calculated by the treatment planning system Eclipse. A comparison of the measurements with calculations yielded the percentage differences. With field sizes less than $1{\times}1cm^2$, it was shown that most of the percentage difference values were within 5% for 6-MV and 15-MV photon beams with the use of diodes. The measured lateral profiles were well matched with those calculated by Eclipse as the field sizes increased. Except for the depths of 0.5 cm and 20 cm, there was agreement in terms of the absolute dosimetry within 10% when MOSFET detectors were used. There was good agreement between the calculations and measurements conducted using diodes and EBT films. Both diode detectors and EBT3 films were found to be appropriate options for relative measurements of PDDs and for lateral profiles.
Objectives: This study aimed to examine the changes in ingredients according to its cultivation method by examining the content of saponin and non-saponin components of ginseng. Methods: Ginseng saponin component analysis was compared and reviewed using the high-performance liquid chromatography method, and acidic polysaccharide component was measured using the carbazole sulfuric acid method. Results: The comparative analysis of ginseng saponin content of 4 and 6 years old fresh ginseng showed the following results. According to the cultivation method, upland field cultivation fresh ginseng showed higher average content of crude saponin than paddy field cultivation fresh ginseng. Whereas, paddy field cultivation fresh ginseng showed higher average content of total saponin than upland field cultivation fresh ginseng. Ginsenoside Rb1 showed higher content of paddy field cultivation fresh ginseng than upland field cultivation fresh ginseng in 6 years old ginseng. However, it showed higher content of upland field cultivation fresh ginseng than paddy field cultivation fresh ginseng in 4 years old ginseng. Additionally, ginsenoside Rg1 showed higher content of paddy field cultivation fresh ginseng than upland field cultivation fresh ginseng in 6 years old ginseng, whereas upland field cultivation fresh ginseng showed higher content of paddy field cultivation fresh ginseng in 4 years old ginseng. The effect on the content of ginseng saponins and acidic polysaccharides according to paddy field and upland field cultivation methods is considered to be small. Conclusions: The paddy field cultivation method, which is more efficient in production cost due to depletion of farmland and long-distance cultivation, is considered to be an economical cultivation method.
