Results: Laypersons' recognition of physical restraints was rated at 3.37 out of 5 points, and showed a positive perspective. Knowledge on physical restraints was rated at 13.68 out of 18 points and was affected by age and education level (F = 2.845, p = .028)(F = 3.126, p = .029) A majority of the participants had no education on physical restraints. Nevertheless, participants showed intention to receive education in physical restraint to reach further understanding. Conclusion: Education on physical restraints is necessary for lay persons. However, there were education limits for people living in modern times. As an intervention addressing this problem, observing videos on the internet is recommended. • Recently, a specialized hospital designation system has been introduced. In this regard, it is a question of whether a hospital can be searched by using the term 'specialized hospital' or 'specialized' in Internet online search. In this paper, it was examined whether there is a possibility that the medical institution might be mistaken as a specialized hospital designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare when the concept of 'specialized hospital' or 'specialized' was used in advertisements. The name specialized hospitals can basically have three general meaning. So, if there is a possibility of confusion or misunderstanding in connection with this general meaning, it may be false advertising. The use of concepts other than these general meanings in law does not mean that general meaning disappears from consumer perception. Therefore, although the concept of a specialized hospital in the medical service act is defined in a special sense, the meaning of the specialized hospital should also be considered according to general recognition. In conclusion, the "Guideline for Specialized Hospital Advertising" prepared by the Ministry of Health and Welfare shows that the establishment of a wide range of prohibition limits the freedom of expression of medical institutions. In addition, the comprehensive prohibition of search terms such as 'specialized', and 'advanced' prevents consumers from freely searching for medical institutions with expertise. These guidelines, which are being deprived of the opportunity for professional medical institutions to advertise themselves appropriately, must be thoroughly reviewed.

Manner of medical consultation according to patient's phychological type was carried out in all groups. After all treatment, we conducted a survey about medical service perception index, patient happiness index, medical satisfaction index. To evaluate a satisfaction degree, we analyzed results of survey statistically. Results : The results of the analysis, both rational sympathy module group and emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on medical service perception index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than control group statistical significantly on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. But rational sympathy module group only had a higher tendency than control group on patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Emotional sympathy module group got a higher score than rational sympathy module group on medical service perception index, patient happiness index and medical satisfaction index. Conclusions : Korean medicine therapy using treatment tool by psychological type consisted of patient's phychological type questionnaire and manner of medical consultation could improve a patient's satisfaction. • With the increasing number of health consumers aiming for a happy quality of life, the O2O medical marketing market is activated by choosing reliable health care facilities and receiving high quality medical services based on the medical information distributed on web's blog. Because unstructured text data used on the Internet, mobile, and social networks directly or indirectly reflects authors' interests, preferences, and expectations in addition to their expertise, it is difficult to guarantee credibility of medical information. In this study, we propose a blog reading system that provides users with a higher quality medical information service by classifying medical information blogs (medical blog, ad blog) using bigdata and MLP processing. We collect and analyze many domestic medical information blogs on the Internet based on the proposed big data and machine learning technology, and develop a personalized health information recommendation system for each disease. It is expected that the user will be able to maintain his / her health condition by continuously checking his / her health problems and taking the most appropriate measures.

  • Purpose: This descriptive study investigated the relationship between death awareness and life ethics awareness, according to life stress, among students in the department of paramedics. Methods: General characteristics were identified using means and frequency, and the differences between the two military models were analyzed using the χ2-test and t-test by dividing them into lower and higher groups based on the mean life stress score (99.76 points). Results: Those with high life stress had higher death awareness than those with low life stress at 114.11 points. In contrast, those with low life ethics experienced more severe life stress with a score of 145.61 points (t=-2.609, p=.010)(t=-2.953, p=.003). The death recognition attitude and bioethics according to the degree of living stress-showed a significant correlation between the low and high groups (r=.188, p=.043) (r=.201, p=.042). Conclusion: Paramedic students require education on how to cope with life stress. However, access to education is limited to people living in modern times. As a potential solution to this problem, observing videos on the Internet is recommended. Moreover, we suggest accessing Internet and smart phone applications for advertising/educational purposes.

  • In this study, we examine the changes to Korean medicine that occurred when 'proprietary medicines' (賣藥) swept through the pharmaceutical market during the Japanese occupation (1910-1945 C.E.). Proprietary medicine during the Japanese colonial period took various forms including ready-made, over-the-counter, patent, and nostrum type pharmaceuticals. This paper examines how Korean medicine, which was the dominant form of medicine during the Joseon Dynasty, was forced to adapt to the rise of proprietary medicines. We found that the prescription of Korean medicine herbal decoctions became more like proprietary medicine in the way that they were formulated. In addition, prescriptions in Korean medicine books were reformulated with prescriptions and medicines from outside the tradition. Proprietary medicines, many of which were made with secret recipes handed down in a family, also attracted attention. Such prescriptions were made famous through advertisements and further influenced future Korean medicine doctors. New prescriptions took advantage of the trust and authority existing in traditional Korean medicine by introducing ginseng and traditional medicinal herbs such as deer antler velvet (鹿茸, Cervi Parvum Cornu). This paper argues that proprietary medicine of the Japanese colonial period distorted the concept of traditional herbal medicine.

  • Background : The promotion and advertisement of pharmaceuticals should be based on evidence from clinical trials. We conducted this study to assess whether the pharmaceutical advertisement claims in Korean medical journals had relevant references, and whether the claims were supported by the references. Methods : We reviewed pharmaceutical advertisements in five Korean medical journals issued during the first half of 1999 and during the first half of 2004. Three investigators independently reviewed the advertisements to see whether the studies quoted to endorse the advertising messages supported the corresponding claims. Using multiple logistic regression analyses, we investigated which factors were associated with the quality of the advertisement claims. Results : From the 550 advertisements in the five journals, we identified 157 different advertisements and 475 different promotional claims. Only 149 claims had at least one reference, and 105 claims had references of published article. We could find supporting evidences in the 90 claims. The factors which were associated with the quality of advertisement claims were category of drugs, category of claims, and the manufacturer characteristics. Claims for cardiovascular and endocrine drugs, and claims on efficacy, and claims of multinational company were more evidence-based. Conclusion : Majority of the pharmaceutical advertisement claims in Korea did not have appropriate references. Drug category, claim category, and the manufacturer characteristics were associated with the quality of advertisement claims, and the manufacturer characteristics was the most important determinants.

  • In this paper, we proposed an electronic attendance-absence recording system using a smartphone that does not require separate BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) devices and infrastructure by using BLE advertisement technology of smartphone. The existing BLE-based electronic attendance-absence recording system requires a BEL device to be attached to each classroom for services and a separate technology to identify the devices attached to the classroom. Also, due to the interference with each other, sometimes an error occurred in the electronic connection. In this paper, we propose a system to solve the problems about time, place and cost, which is a disadvantage of the conventional Bluetooth beacon system. BLE advertising function of the smartphone that the user is using without BLE device, it is possible to construct infrastructure for electronic attendance-absence recording system. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system, we designed the system structure and operation flow and constructed the system using the smart phone in actual used.
