Noise is a serious issue. While sending images via electronic communication, Impulse noise, which is created by unsteady voltage, is one of the most common noises in digital communication. During the acquisition process, pictures were collected. It is possible to obtain accurate diagnosis images by removing these noises without affecting the edges and tiny features. The New Average High Noise Density Median Filter. (HNDMF) was proposed in this paper, and it operates in two steps for each pixel. Filter can decide whether the test pixels is degraded by SPN. In the first stage, a detector identifies corrupted pixels, in the second stage, an algorithm replaced by noise free processed pixel, the New average suggested Filter produced for this window. The paper examines the performance of Gaussian Filter (GF), Adaptive Median Filter (AMF), and PHDNF. In this paper the comparison of known image denoising is discussed and a new decision based weighted median filter used to remove impulse noise. Using Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structure Similarity Index Method (SSIM) metrics, the paper examines the performance of Gaussian Filter (GF), Adaptive Median Filter (AMF), and PHDNF. A detailed simulation process is performed to ensure the betterment of the presented model on the Mini-MIAS dataset. The obtained experimental values stated that the HNDMF model has reached to a better performance with the maximum picture quality. images affected by various amounts of pretend salt and paper noise, as well as speckle noise, are calculated and provided as experimental results. According to quality metrics, the HNDMF Method produces a superior result than the existing filter method. Accurately detect and replace salt and pepper noise pixel values with mean and median value in images. The proposed method is to improve the median filter with a significant change.

The author surveyed 2,082 schoolchildren (Male: 1,078, Female: 1,004) from 7 to 12 years old in "N" primary school in kwang Ju City, and studied on 304 schoolchildren (Male: 176, Female: 128) having maxillary median diastema. The results were as follows: 1. The prevalence of maxillary median diastema was 14.6%, and it showed the greater rate at the boys than at the girls and the highest rate at 8 years old in the both sexes. 2. The maxillary median diastema showed decreasing tendency with ageing. 3. The frenum distance in children without local factors showed no change and the divergent degree of maxillary median diastema showed decreasing tendency after the eruption of maxillary lateral incisors. 4. The rate of maxillary median diastema associated with local factors was 37.8% and it showed increasing tendency with ageing. 5. The prevalence of median diastema according to etiology was as follows; rotated tooth; 12.2%, supernumerary teeth; 10.9%, abnormal frenum; 9.5%, peg lateralis; 7.2%, open bite; 2.6%, abnormal pattern of interseptal alveolar bone; 2.6%, missing lateral incisor; 0.7%, tooth size discrepancy; 0.3%.
In recent day, many people are interested in wind resource for generation of electric power. Especially, it is made assessment the possibility of generation of electric power by wind resource originated from running cars and buses in downtown or highway. Moreover bus, driven in the exclusive lane, is focused on possibility of generation electric power on highway because median strip makes fast flow way between bus body and median strip and a pattern will appear in the flow way like drag coefficient. But nobody can guess whether the induced flow will increase or decrease and estimate amount of change of drag coefficient. Solving drag coefficient of bus running highway is the point of this paper. To solve this problem, we use the CFD method. The model is a bus simplified without mirror and gates. In order to assess result, the flow analysis surrounding the bus on the flat road where median strip is not installed has been compared with road with median strip. Solving condition is that the driving highway and median strip are running with 100km/h (27.8m/s).
The present study was carried out 1) to show the ontogenic development of CA-and GnRH-containing nerve fobres in the median eminence, 2) to simultaneously demonstrate the synaptic contact between these two nenre fibres in the rat median eminence at the ultrastructural level using light and electron microscopic doublelabel immunostainlngs. GnRH-and CA-nenre terminals were detectable in the median eminence at embryonic day 19.5. The CA-newe terminals were obsenred in the entire legion of the extern31 lavers, while GnRH-newe terminals only in the lateral portion. At the 14th postnatal daw, both %ropes of nerve terminals showed a very similar distribution to those of adult one. In the median eminence of adult rats, a substantial overlap existed in the distribution of GnRH fibres with CA-containing nerve fibres. This overlap was most intense throughout the external palisade zone. Furthermore, an electron microscopic double label immunostaining showed that there was a close apposition of CA- and GnRH-nenre fobres. These axo-axonic contacts occurred frequently in the internal and palisade zones, i.e. at the level of the fobre preterminals. These morphological results suggest that the CA-mediated GnRH secretion may occur via sxo-axonic interaction in the median eminence.

A new technique for image restoration using Weighted cross-shaped median filter with edge-detection algorithm is proposed in this paper. It consists of simple hypothesis test for edge-detection, and makes use of the weighted cross-shape window. This method is applied to noise corrupted image and its results are compared with those of median filters. As for the experimental result, method of weighted cross-shape median filter is superior to other median filters.

Salt and pepper noise is caused by various causes such as camera malfunction, storage media memory error, and transmission channel error. Representative filters to remove salt and pepper noise include SMF(standard median filter), CWMF(center weighted median filter), and AMF(adaptive median filter). However previous filters have inadequate noise removal characteristics in high density salt-and-pepper noise environment. Therefore the study suggested a composite filter which, through noise evaluation, preserves original pixels when the central pixel is non-noise, and uses spatial weighted value mask and median when there is noise.
PURPOSES : The purpose of this paper is to develop a methodology to estimate level of service of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes. METHODS : On 6 Exclusive Median Bus Lanes routes in Seoul, bus travel time and number of bus-stop per km were investigated. Also whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop was checked. Based on the data from sites, bus travel time was estimated according to length of segment, number of bus-stop per km and whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop. RESULTS : A bus travel time table was developed according to length of segment, number of bus-stop per km and whether or not passing lane exists at bus-stop. After bus travel speed and passenger car travel speed is estimated based on each travel time table and length of segment, two speeds are combined with weighted average speed using traffic volume of each lane group. Then weighted average speed is a measure of effectiveness of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes. CONCLUSIONS : It can be concluded that the proposed methodology can estimate level of service of arterial including Exclusive Median Bus Lanes considering the operation characteristics of Exclusive Median Bus Lanes.

This study aimed to analyze the applicability of the improved median filter in positron emission tomography (PET)/magnetic resonance (MR) fusion images based on parallel imaging using generalized autocalibrating partially parallel acquisition (GRAPPA). In this study, a PET/MR fusion imaging system based on a 3.0T magnetic field and 18F radioisotope were used. An improved median filter that can set a mask of the median value more efficiently than before was modeled and applied to the acquired image. As quantitative evaluation parameters of the noise level, the contrast to noise ratio (CNR) and coefficient of variation (COV) were calculated. Additionally, no-reference-based evaluation parameters were used to analyze the overall image quality. We confirmed that the CNR and COV values of the PET/MR fusion images to which the improved median filter was applied improved by approximately 3.32 and 2.19 times on average, respectively, compared to the noisy image. In addition, the no-reference-based evaluation results showed a similar trend for the noise-level results. In conclusion, we demonstrated that it can be supplemented by using an improved median filter, which suggests the problem of image quality degradation of PET/MR fusion images that shortens scan time using GRAPPA.

Median filtering is very effective to remove impulse type noises, so it has been widely used in many signal processing applications. However, due to the time complexity of its non-linearity, median filtering is often used using a small filter window size. A lot of work has been done on devising fast median filtering algorithms, but most of them can be efficiently applied to input data with finite integer values like images. Little work has been carried out on fast 2-d median filtering algorithms that can deal with real-valued 2-d data. In this paper, a fast and simple median 2-d filter is presented, and its performance is compared with the Matlab's 2-d median filter and a heap-based 2-d median filter. The proposed algorithm is shown to be much faster than the Matlab's 2-d median filter and consistently faster than the heap-based algorithm that is much more complicated than the proposed one. Also, a more efficient median filtering scheme for 2-d real valued data with a finite range of values is presented that uses higher-bit integer 2-d median filtering with negligible quantization errors.
