This experimental research explores the effect of the movie that can be classified as non-news media on viewers' political and social attitude on the theoretical basis of priming effect, focused on the movie 'cart' that deals with non-regular workers' labor movement. For this experimental research, one group of subjects composed of university students were exposed to movie 'cart', and the other not to the movie. After watching a movie, each group of subjects responded to questions that are designed to measure the seriousness of non-regular workers' problem, the necessity of labor movement, support of opposition party, support of the current government. This research found that subjects exposed to the movie 'cart' consider non-regular workers' problem more serious and supports opposition party more positively than subjects not exposed to movie 'cart.' However hypotheses that expected the positive support of treated subjects on labor union and less positive support of treated subjects on current government were rejected.

The study explores how the discourses on game addiction, which emphasize diligence and sincerity for labor and self-control, and professional gamers, who are trapped in pleasures of playing games in the virtual world, cohabit in Korean society. Progamers have grown from entertainment industry enlarged along with the current of the economic 'postmodernization,' mentioned by Hardt and Negri(1997; 2001; 2004). Hardt and Negri have elaborated on the economic postmodernization with the notion 'immaterial labor,' which blurs the line between economic (instrumental) actions and humane qualities as well as pertains to the potentiality of resistant practices against the power of modernity. From this perspective, progamers' labor is understood as 'affective labor,' an aspect of immaterial labor with the potentiality of resistance. However, meticulous examination of progamers' labor in this study reveals that progamers control their affects systematically, strategically, and rationally for their materialistic success. Progamers, while performing postmodern mode of labor, are subordinate to modern work ethics, which lead them to lose the potentiality of resistance. Consequently, while the discourses on game addiction and progamers outwardly form sharp contrast to each other, the two indeed are placed in tandem in the vein of modern work ethics of Protestantism.

In recent years, with the rapid development of IT technology and the aging of the population, various solutions to the labor shortage have emerged. In the livestock industry, there are an increasing number of management systems that utilize artificial intelligence technology. The Metaverse Smart Farm is a system that combines the digital virtual world with advanced agricultural technology. With this system, farmers can monitor the health of their animals in real time without having to visit the barns, and analyze the data collected through sensors and cameras for more efficient agricultural management. In addition, the barn environment can be adjusted through a remote control function, which is expected to reduce labor and revitalize the livestock industry.

The purpose of this study is to explore the structure of social discourse on aging in Korea by analyzing newspaper articles on aging. The analysis is composed of three steps: first, data collection and preprocessing; second, identifying the latent topics; and third, observing yearly dynamics of topics. In total, 1,472 newspaper articles that included the word "aging" within the title were collected from 10 major newspapers between 2006 and 2019. The underlying topic structure was analyzed using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), a topic modeling method widely adopted by text mining academics and researchers. Seven latent topics were generated from the LDA model, defined as social issues, death, private insurance, economic growth, national debt, labor market innovation, and income security. The topic loadings demonstrated a clear increase in public interest on topics such as national debt and labor market innovation in recent years. This study concludes that media discourse on aging has shifted towards more productivity and efficiency related issues, requiring older people to be productive citizens. Such subjectivation connotes a decreased role of the government and society by shifting the responsibility to individuals not being able to adapt successfully as productive citizens within the labor market.

Most of all manufacturing industries are pursuing the manufacturing process innovation through the production process automation but the printing industry still does not get out of the analog ways of the entire process compared the entire manufacturing industry. Today, many printing enterprises have the difficulties by the short for delivery, multi-item small amount printing, high quality, rise in raw material cost, drop in receiving order cost, and etc. The printing industry can get over these difficulties and issues by implementing the compact workflow line, merge with the others, automatization and networking, minimization of the repetitive operation, efficiency of the working process, optimization of the operators' value creation, minimization of cost and materials and fast make-ready. The object of this thesis establishes the experimental data and study cases applicable in the printing industry by having high labor productivity and work in line with printing industry processes through "lean printing system".

Identifying and searching for characters appearing in scenes during multimedia video editing is an arduous and time-consuming process. Applying artificial intelligence to labor-intensive media editing tasks can greatly reduce media production time, improving the creative process efficiency. In this paper, a method is proposed which combines existing artificial intelligence based techniques to automate character recognition and search tasks for video editing. Object detection, face detection, and pose estimation are used for character localization and face recognition and color space analysis are used to extract unique representation information.

Multicultural education is not about learning about a specific ethnic group, but rather developing the ability to cross the border of one's own culture and have conversations with people of other cultures. I think the purpose is to promote empathy and consideration. This study emphasizes the importance of developing multi-dimensional educational programs for all members of society for multicultural social integration, and it is necessary to lead personal, social and civic action movements to create a fair society through media-based multicultural literacy education. said that In order to achieve harmony and integration in a multicultural society, it is the most important to acknowledge cultural diversity and to discard cultural prejudices and inequalities for symbiosis between the mainstream culture and the minority culture. In particular, the United States and Germany, which have successfully led multicultural social integration, are comprehensive in all areas, including interculturalism based on peaceful coexistence and respect, labor market issues, vocational education issues, housing and health issues, and communication issues through media literacy. He led a multicultural national integration system with approaches and methods. Therefore, our multicultural education policy should also pursue a new paradigm that presupposes a change in the public's awareness of a multicultural society.

Background: This study examines the relationship between the emotional labor and compassion competence of clinical dental hygienists. It attempted to provide basic data to establish a plan to increase the dental hygiene performance of clinical dental hygienists in the future by identifying the factors influencing the dental hygiene work performance. Methods: This study is aimed at clinical dental hygienists working at the Jeollabuk-do Dental Clinic from April to June 2020 by the Convenience Sampling Method. An online survey site program was used to explain the purpose and purpose of the study on social media including the dental hygienist community, and distribute a URL that allows you to participate in the survey only if you agree to the study. Results: In emotional labor, there was a significant difference in job satisfaction and marital status, and in compassion competence, there were significant differences in job satisfaction, final education, and marital status by group. In dental hygiene work performance, compassion competency showed a statistically significant positive correlation. In other words, it was found that the higher the compassion competence, the higher the dental hygiene work performance. It was found that the total number of years worked and the compassion competence that influenced dental hygiene work performance were statistically significant. Conclusion: In summary, in order to improve the dental hygiene work performance of clinical dental hygienists, it is necessary to compassion competence with the subject. To this end, it is believed that various supports, measures, and systematic management should be implemented to compassion competence of clinical dental hygienists.

Surveillance cameras have installed in many places because security and safety is becoming important in modern society. Through surveillance cameras installed, we can deal with troubles and prevent accidents. However, watching surveillance videos and judging the accidental situations is very labor-intensive. So now, the need for research to analyze surveillance videos is growing. This study proposes an algorithm to track multiple persons using SURF and background subtraction. While the SURF algorithm, as a person-tracking algorithm, is robust to scaling, rotating and different viewpoints, SURF makes tracking errors with sudden changes in videos. To resolve such tracking errors, we combined SURF with a background subtraction algorithm and showed that the proposed approach increased the tracking accuracy. In addition, the background subtraction algorithm can detect persons in videos, and SURF can initialize tracking targets with these detected persons, and thus the proposed algorithm can automatically detect the enter/exit of persons.

Shrimp farming has been becoming a new source of income for fishermen in South Korea. It is often necessary for fishers to measure the size of the shrimp for the purpose to understand the growth rate of the shrimp and to determine the amount of food put into the breeding pond. Traditional methods rely on humans, which has huge time and labor costs. This paper proposes a deep learning-based method for calculating the size of shrimps automatically. Firstly, we use fine-tuning techniques to update the Mask RCNN model with our farm data, enabling it to segment shrimps and generate shrimp masks. We then use skeletonizing method and maximum inscribed circle to calculate the length and width of shrimp, respectively. Our method is simple yet effective, and most importantly, it requires a small hardware resource and is easy to deploy to shrimp farms.
