도시생태계 교육을 위한 시민 인식 설문조사 및 분석 - 수원시를 중심으로 - (Survey and Analysis of Citizens' Perception for Urban Ecosystem Education - Targeting Suwon City -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the citizens' perception of urban ecosystem and urban ecosystem education to find out how to plan and create an effective urban ecosystem and how to utilize urban ecosystem education and educational media according to age groups. To this end, an online survey of 416 Suwon citizens was conducted, and based on the responses of the respondents, cross-analysis, multiple-response analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted using the IBM SPSS Statistics Statistical Program. The study found that fewer respondents showed a high understanding of urban ecosystem concepts compared to those who recognized the importance of environmental issues. Nevertheless, most of the respondents were aware of the importance of preserving and protecting the urban ecosystem and responded positively to the inconvenience. In addition, most of the respondents were aware of the need for urban ecosystem education and were found to have different preferred information media depending on age. It has been confirmed that the establishment of facilities such as ecological learning centers and seasonal environmental schools is the top priority among all age groups. Citizens are also aware of the importance of preserving and protecting the urban ecosystem and the need for education, but it is deemed necessary to supplement it because effective urban ecosystem conservation and protection plans and systematic education are not provided that citizens can sympathize with. In addition, it is deemed that various measures should be presented in selecting responsible organizations and educational media that host the education for effective education and promotion of urban ecosystem education according to conduct urban ecosystem education.

C-P-N-D 생태계 차원에서의 방송/미디어 분야 가상현실(VR) 발전 전망 (C-P-N-D Ecosystem-based Broadcasting/Media Virtual Reality (VR) Prospects)

  • 4차 산업혁명의 한 분야로 각광받고 있는 가상현실의 성장이 예측과는 다르게 지연되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 이유를 간략하게 콘텐츠-플랫폼-네트워크-디바이스 (C-P-N-D)생태계 관점에서 분석해 보았다. 가상현실은 사용자가 디바이스를 착용하고 네트워크를 통해 플랫폼에 접속하여 다양한 콘텐츠를 이용하는 기술이다. 따라서 가상현실의 성공적인 대중화를 위해서는 C-P-N-D 생태계 분야들의 균형적인 육성이 중요하다. 우리나라는 네트워크를 제외한 콘텐츠, 플랫폼, 디바이스 모두 경쟁력이 낮은 수준으로 평가받고 있다. 개별 분야에 대한 경쟁력 확보 노력도 중요하겠지만, 킬러 콘텐츠를 활용할 수 있는 네트워크 기반 플랫폼의 육성이 더욱 필요하다. 단순한 킬러 콘텐츠의 육성만으로는 전체 가상현실 C-P-N-D 생태계를 구축할 수 없음을 명심해야 할 것이고, 방송/미디어 분야도 이러한 접근이 필요함을 주지해야 할 것이다.

메타버스 비즈니스 모델 및 생태계 분석 (Analysis of Metaverse Business Model and Ecosystem)

  • Recently, discussions on Metaverse, which represents the transcendent world, have been dominant for some time. Cases related to the Metaverse are introduced through various media and are continuously attracting attention as the next generation of the Internet. This study reviews the business model and the ecosystem overview, focusing on service cases related to the Metaverse. The widely used business models include content production and sales, media brokerage fee, and marketing fee. The Metaverse ecosystem is formed around games, with major players in game production, authoring tool & support SW, intelligent cloud service, and game platform expected to lead the market. Results show that a strategy to secure the leadership of the Metaverse, such as the business model expansion conditions, a strategy to foster a game-oriented Metaverse ecosystem, and technology development for the realization of the ultra-realistic Metaverse, is necessary.

디지털큐레이션을 활용한 팀프로젝트 기반 유튜브 생태계 설계 및 적용 (Design and Application of YouTube Ecosystem based on Team Projects using Digital Curation)

  • The purpose of this study is to design and apply YouTube ecosystem using digital curation to improve the interaction of untact class. The untact digital instructional model for building the YouTube ecosystem is composed of four modules: domain, tutor, student, and interface, and the role of each module is described. As an application example, the team project "Development and Operation of Instructional Assistant YouTube" is performed in the Introduction to Media Software class. The learning experience is described in terms of professor, peer tutors, and learners, and learning outcomes are presented through surveys.

염료 분해균 증대를 통한 Pilot Plant에서의 담체 내 미생물 생태와 색도처리에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dye-Degrading Microbes' Augmentation on Microbial Ecosystem of the Fluidizing Media and Color Treatment in a Pilot Plant)

  • In a pilot-scale dyeing wastewater treatment using two-type fluidizing media, each thickness of biofilm was 15 and 30 ${\mu}m$, respectively. The numbers of protozoa inhabited in small-size (PEMT A) and big-size (PEMT B) media were $7.5{\times}10^4$ and $1.25{\times}10^5$ cells/ml, respectively, and dominant species were Entosiphon sulcatus var sulcatus in PEMT A and Chlamydomonas reinhardtii in PEMT B, respectively. Flask experiments using the two media revealed that the percentages of color removal were 25.8% in PEMT A and 27.1% in PEMT B after 72-h cultivation, indicating the necessity of bioaugmentation. Experiments for bioaugmentation effect on color removal were carried out in the pilot-scale treatment for 75 d by three-step operation under the control of wastewater loading rate and microbial input rate. Dye degradation occurred mainly in the second reaction tank, and the attachment of augmented dye-degrading microorganisms to media took at least 35 d. Final value of chromaticity in effluent was 227, meeting the required standard. Therefore bioaugmentation onto media was good for color treatment. In summary, thickness of biofilm formed on the media depended upon the size of media, resulting in different ecosystem inside the media. Hence, this affected microbial community and color treatment further. Accordingly, the reduction of operation cost is expected by efficient color-treatment process using bioaugmented media.

  • With the saturation of the local market, the domestic media industry is searching for new growth drivers by crossing over to other industries, but due to the limited size of the market, results fail to meet expectations. Despite its strengths in cultural contents, as verified by the Korean Wave Hallyu, and advanced platform services, the industry feels threatened by the entry of global foreign media businesses in the domestic arena. This and the stagnated growth in the local media market are challenges we are facing today. On the other hand, it could prove to be a timely opportunity to transform the existing media industry structure where exporting hardware and terminals is at the heart of a globalized business into a structure based on software and contents exports. Based on such critical thinking, this study examines the current status of media markets, home and abroad, and aims to come up with strategic measures through a discussion on the issues and methods proposed for the globalization of local media businesses from a holistic viewpoint based on ecosystem, M&A and contents.

국내 콘텐츠 소비자의 코드커팅 요인 연구 (What Drives Korean People to Cut the Cord?)

  • The traditional media ecosystem is facing major changes with the expansion of over-the-top (OTT) services. While the percentage of people cutting the cord has already exceeded the percentage of people subscribing to pay TV services in the United States, due to the unique characteristics of the Korean market, it is uncertain whether the cord-cutting trend will have an impact on the Korean media industry despite of the advantages of OTT services. Accordingly, this study has directly determined the beneficial and sacrificial factors of switching to OTT services, as well as the personal and external influences behind the Korean OTT service users' intention to switch. To achieve this, the Value-based Adoption Model (VAM) was used to measure the benefits of OTT services with regards to their content and systems, as well as measure the financial and procedural switching costs of cord-cutting; further, personal innovativeness and consumers' social image were added as external variables. The results of this study showed that consumers take the content and system quality of OTT services and procedural switching costs and into consideration, and that their intention to switch was based on social image. These results could serve as data for consumer analysis regarding the expansion of OTT services into the Korean media industry, and also provide the strategic basis for preparing for sudden changes that may occur in the media ecosystem due to cord-cutting.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 N- 혹은 멀티스크린 기술의 발전 및 OTT서비스 환경에서 TV서비스 중심의 미디어 생태계 변화의 특징과 함의는 무엇인가? 라는 질문에 대한 해답을 찾으려는 것이다. 이를 위해 대체재/보완제의 위협 및 신규사업자의 위협에 초점을 맞추되, 현행의 복잡한 경쟁 관계를 매체간의 역사적 흐름 속에서 이해하려고 시도하였다. 분석의 틀로 한광접의 TPC모델을 이용해 연구관점과 연구범위를 크게 기술/산업(Technology), 정책(Policy) 및 소비자(Consumer)의 세 분야로 구분했다. 이 세 부분의 균형잡힌 연계성의 필요에도 불구하고, 연구의 초점은 시장분석에 맞추었다. 비디오 분배서비스시장을 새로운 인터넷/컴퓨터기반 신규사업자들의 시장진입과, 이에 대응하는 기존 미디어사업자들의 대응전략을 기존의 유료TV사업자들(IPTV/케이블TV/위성TV사업자)과 무료(공중파)TV네트워크사업자로 구분해 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 전환의 특징을 통신부분의 파워쉬프트, 방송부분의 파워쉬프트, 통신망사업자와 OTT사업자의 전략적 제휴, 타임 쉬프트, 플레이스 쉬프트 및 비즈니스모델 쉬프트 등 여섯 가지로 정리하고, 이에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

파로호에 설치된 인공식물섬 식생기반재의 공극수에서 세균 분포와 체외효소활성도 (Bacterial Abundances and Enzymatic Activities in the Pore Water of Media of Artificial Floating Island in Lake Paro)

  • 생태계가 파괴된 파로호에 수초대를 복원하는 방법으로 rubberized coconut fiber를 식생기반재로 사용한 인공식물섬을 2003년 8월에 설치하였다. 인공식물섬 식생기반재에서는 식물이 자랄 수 있을 정도로 영양염이 농축되어 꽂창포(Iris ensata), 노랑 꽃창포(Iris pseudoacorus), 갈대(Phragmites communis)등 식재된 식물이 잘 자랐다. 이 과정에서 세균의 역할을 알아보기 위하여 2004년 4월부터 10월까지 2주 간격으로 총세균수, 활성세균수, ${\beta}-glucosidase$, phosphatase를 조사한 결과 인공식물성 식생기반재의 공극수에서 각각 평균 $28.6{\times}10^{6}\;cells/ml,\;22.7{\times}10^{6}\;cells/ml,\;452.9nM/L/hr,\;16381.9nM/L/hr$로 조사되어 파로호 호수물보다 각각 10배, 15배, 22배, 38배 높았다. 그리고 영양염류농도는 총인과 충질소가 식생기반재 공극수에서 각각평균 1.06 mg/L, 12.5 mg/L으로 조사되어 호수물보다 12배, 3배 높았다. 이 결과 인공식물섬 식생기반재에서 새로운 생태계가 만들어졌으며, 이 생태계에서 세균이 중요한 역할을 하여 빈-중영양상태의 호수물에서도 식물이 잘 자랄 수 있었다.

UHD Alliance의 HDR, WCG 품질 기준 (Quality Criteria for HDR and WCG of UHD Alliance)

  • UHD Alliance는 UHD를 새로 정의하고 BT.709 (1990)[1]에서 정의된 HDTV 경험 대비 모든 관점에서 더 나은 프리미엄 사용자 경험을 가치로서 제공하기 위해 설립되었다. 특히 호환성 뿐만 아니라 품질을 정의하고, 그 품질이 컨텐트 저작자로부터 소비자에 이르는 Ecosystem의 흐름상 유지될 수 있도록하여, 의도된 화질을 즐길 수 있는데 중점을 두었다. 본 논문에서는 UHD Alliance 기술 규격의 대표적인 화질 요소인 HDR과 WCG의 품질 기준에 대해 소개한다.
