DC 그리드 안정성 향상을 위해 변압기형 초전도 한류기가 적용된 직류 차단 기술에 관한 연구 (A Study on DC Interruption Technology using a Transformer Type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter to Improve DC Grid Stability)

  • Interruption system with the transformer type superconducting fault current limiter(TSFCL) is proposed in this paper. The interruption system with a TSFCL is a technology that it maximizes the interruption function of a mechanical DC circuit breaker using a transformer and a superconducting fault current limiter. By a TSFCL, the system limits the fault current till the breakable current range in the fault state. Therefore, the fault current could be cut off by a mechanical DC circuit breaker. The Interruption system with a TSFCL were designed using PSCAD/EMTDC. In addition, the Interruption system with a TSFCL was applied to the DC test circuit to analyze characteristics of a current-limiting and a interruption operation. The simulation results showed that the Interruption system with a TSFCL interrupted the fault current in a stable when a fault occurred. Also, The current-limiting rate of the Interruption system with a TSFCL was approximately 69.55%, and the interruption time was less than 8 ms.

Experimental and numerical studies on mechanical behavior of buried pipelines crossing faults

  • This paper presents a study on the mechanical behavior of buried pipelines crossing faults using experimental and numerical methods. A self-made soil-box was used to simulate normal fault, strike-slip fault and oblique slip fault. The effects of some important parameters, including the displacement and type of fault, the buried depth and the diameter of pipe, on the deformation modes and axial strain distribution of the buried pipelines crossing faults was studied in the experiment. Furthermore, a finite element analysis (FEA) model of spring boundary was developed to investigate the performance of the buried pipelines crossing faults, and FEA results were compared with experimental results. It is found that the axial strain distribution of those buried pipelines crossing the normal fault and the oblique fault is asymmetrical along the fault plane and that of buried pipelines crossing the strike-slip fault is approximately symmetrical. Additionally, the axial peak strain appears near both sides of the fault and increases with increasing fault displacement. Moreover, the axial strain of the pipeline decreases with decreasing buried depth or increasing ratios of pipe diameter to pipe wall thickness. Compared with the normal fault and the strike-slip fault, the oblique fault is the most harmful to pipelines. Based on the accuracy of the model, the regression equations of the axial distance from the peak axial strain position of the pipeline to the fault under the effects of buried depth, pipe diameter, wall thickness and fault displacement were given.

  • In recent years, a pattern recognition method has been widely used by researchers for fault diagnoses of mechanical systems. A pattern recognition method determines the soundness of a mechanical system by detecting variations in the system's vibration characteristics. Hidden Markov model has recently been used as pattern recognition methods in various fields. In this study, a HMM method for the fault diagnosis of a mechanical system is introduced, and a rotating machine with mass unbalance is selected for fault diagnosis. Moreover, a diagnosis procedure to identity the size of a defect is proposed in this study.

  • 본 연구에서는 TOUGH-FLAC 연동해석기법을 통해 단층의 수리역학적 거동을 평가할 수 있는 수치해석 모델을 제안하였다. 이는 국제공동연구 DECOVALEX-2019 Task B의 일환으로 수행되었으며, 불투수성 암반 내 유체 주입으로 인한 단층의 재활성을 예측하고 주변 암반의 수리역학적 안정성을 평가할 수 있는 해석모델을 개발하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 TOUGH2 수리유동모델과 FLAC3D의 역학적 인터페이스 모델의 연동을 통해 단층의 역학적 거동을 보다 합리적으로 구현할 수 있는 해석기법을 제안하고, 벤치마크 해석과 스위스 Mont Terri 지하연구시설 현장시험에 적용하여 그 타당성과 유효성을 검증하였다. 개발된 해석 모델은 유체의 주입으로 인한 단층 내 압력 분포의 발달, 역학적 변형에 따른 수리간극의 변화, 변위와 응력 등 단층의 수리역학적 거동을 적절히 재현할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Fault Diagnosis of Roll Shape Under the Speed Variation in Hot Rolling Mill

  • The metal processing system usually consists of various components such like motors, work rolls, backup rolls, idle rolls, sensors, etc. Even a simple fault in a single component in the system may cause a serious damage on the final product. It is therefore necessary to diagnose the faults of the components to detect and prevent system failure. Especially, the defects in a work roll are critical to the quality of strip. It is especially difficult to detect faults of a roll by using the existing frequency analysis method if the speed of the roll is changing. In this study, a new diagnosis method for roll eccentricity under the roll speed changes was developed. The new method was induced from analyzing the rolling mechanism by using rolling force models, radius-speed relationship, and measured rolling force, etc. Simulation results by using the field data show that the proposed method is very useful.

A Study on the Fault Diagnosis of the 3-D Roll Shape in Cold Rolling

The new method was induced from analyzing the rolling mechanism by using a rolling force model, a tension model, the Hitchcock's equation, and measurement of the strip thickness, etc. Computer simulation shows that the proposed method is very useful in the diagnosis of the 3-D roll shape.

슬라이딩 모드 관측기를 이용한 기구학 모델 기반 자율주행 자동차의 예견 고장진단 알고리즘 (Kinematic Model based Predictive Fault Diagnosis Algorithm of Autonomous Vehicles Using Sliding Mode Observer)

  • 본 논문은 슬라이딩 모드 관측기를 이용한 기구학 모델 기반 자율주행 자동차의 예견 고장진단 알고리즘에 관한 연구이다. 자율주행 자동차는 안전한 주행을 위해 신뢰성이 확보된 주행 환경 정보와 차량의 동적상태 정보가 필요하다. 센서 정보의 신뢰성 판단을 위해 본 연구에서는 종방향 기구학 모델기반 슬라이딩모드 관측기를 이용하여 종방향 환경정보와 차량 가속도 정보를 실시간으로 상호 보완적 고장진단이 가능한 예견 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 적용된 슬라이딩 모드 관측기는 종방향 환경정보의 고장신호에도 강건한 입력신호 재건성능을 보이면서 알고리즘의 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있었다. 예견 고장진단 알고리즘의 합리적 성능평가를 위해 네 가지 조건에 대한 실제 주행 데이터 기반 선행차량 추종시나리오를 적용하였다. 성능평가 결과 본 연구에서 제안된 예견 고장진단 알고리즘은 모든 평가조건과 주행 시나리오에 대해 합리적인 고장진단 성능을 보여주었다.

  • In recent years, pattern recognition methods have been widely used by many researchers for fault diagnoses of mechanical systems. The soundness of a mechanical system can be checked by analyzing the variation of the system vibration characteristic along with a pattern recognition method. Recently, the hidden Markov model has been widely used as a pattern recognition method in various fields. In this paper, the hidden Markov model is employed for the fault diagnosis of the mass unbalance of a rotating system. Mass unbalance is one of the critical faults in the rotating system. A procedure to identity the location and size of the mass unbalance is proposed and the accuracy of the procedure is validated through experiment.

  • The basic Principles and methods of the on-line monitoring of tribology parameters (friction coefficient and wear allowance) and fault diagnosis for the hoist disc brake system were introduced, the method were based on the spring force and oil pressure of the brake system and the hoist kinematics parameters. The experiment on the monitoring and diagnosis of hoist brake system were carried out. The research results showed: the monitoring and diagnosis methods are feasible.
