Implementation and estimation of the urophonography measurement system for diagnosis of Lower urinary tract symptom (하부요로계 폐색 진단용 요류음 계측 시스템의 구현 및 평가)

  • A sensor and measuring system were implemented to measure both uroflow and urophonography signal during urination for diagnose the lower urinary tract symptom. The implemented system was composed of the uroflow sensor using the load-cell, the urophonography measurement sensor so as stethoscope type, pre-processing part for sensors signal detection, amplifier and filter, system control parts and PC measurement program. A simulator of the lower urinary system that is experimental equipment implemented for evaluate the developed system. The two signals were measured using implemented system and analyzed these signal by means of time domain and frequency domain for extraction of the characteristic parameter which can most effectively reflected by the occlusion of the lower urinary system. Furthermore two signals were measured and analyzed with the subject of 5 healthy adult for clinical application possibility of the implemented system. As a result, the most influence bandwidth of effect according to occlusion of the lower urinary system is $253{\sim}282$ Hz of the urophonography signal.

  • For prediction of ground movement per the excavation step, observational results of ground movement during the construction was very different with prediction during the analysis of design. step because of the uncertainty of the numerical analysis modelling, the soil parameter, and the condition of a construction field, etc. however accuratly numerical analysis method was applied. Therefore, the management system through the construction field measurement should be achieved for grasping the situation during the excavation. Until present, the measurement system restricted by ‘Absolute Value Management system’only analyzing the stability of present step was executed. So, it was difficult situation to expect the prediction of ground movement for the next excavation step. In this situation, it was developed that ‘The Management system TOMAS-EXCAV’ consisted of ‘Absolute value management system’ analyzing the stability of present step and ‘Prediction management system’ expecting the ground movement of next excavation step and analyzing the stability of next excavation step by‘Back Analysis’. TOMAS-EXCAV could be applied to all uncertainty of earth retaining structures analysis by connecting ‘Forward analysis program’ and ‘Back analysis program’ and optimizing the main design variables using SQP-MMFD optimization method through measurement results. The application of TOMAS-EXCAV was confirmed that verifed the three earth retaing construction field by back analysis.

Effects of 8-Week Elastic Resistance Exercise on Knee Isokinetic Rate of Velocity Development and Balance by Age

  • Ten women in their 20s and 10 women in their 50s were selected to investigate the effect of an elastic band exercise program for 8 weeks according to age on women's knee speed expression rate and balance. Knee isokinetic muscle strength measurement, single-legged standing with eyes closed, and YBT were performed 1 week before and after the exercise program. The measured data were analyzed through a mixed design two-way ANOVA, and if there was a significant difference, post hoc verification was performed using the bonferoni method. In our study, as a result of an 8-week elastic band exercise program, there was no difference in the speed development rate according to the measurement period, and the speed development rate according to age was found to be higher in people in their 50s than in their 20s. In our study, there was no difference in balance ability depending on the measurement period, and there was also no difference in balance ability depending on age. Discussing the results of our study, we found that 8 weeks of elastic band exercise cannot bring about significant changes in speed development ability and balance ability, which become more accurate with age.

  • The testing and evaluating shunting rates of operating substations have become difficult recently due to various factors including increased fault current, limited area of urban substations and construction of substations in mountain location. In this paper, we have analysed the computation and measurement method of shunting currents that be applied grounding system maintenance of power substations. Also, simple and detailed test methods using 70Hz current injection are explained. A computer program is developed for a study on the shunting properties such as grounding impedance and shunting rates of grounding current, and the simulation results are compared with the measurement data to prove validity and effectiveness of the program and measurement method under commercial operation of a GIS type model substation respectively.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the facial shape and suggest quantified data for the domestic fashion cordinaton and beauty industry. A measurement survey of 264 female college students aged from 20 to 24, was conducted with photographs of front view and later view taken by digital camera. Two hundred values were generated through the facial measurement program. In the results, for the coefficient of variance of the height was highly related with height, radial length was highly related with radial length, and breadth with highly related with breadth. However Gnation breadth, Zygomatic breadth, Philtrum breadth were lowly related and indefendent with other items.

  • This paper on measurement of curvature radius by the using of laser interferometer and prove. Mean value compared of ball and bearing It is developed program for date creation, and the verification using program. Measurement object center and curvature radius taking of LSC. when it is compared bearing prove with ball prove, the bearing prove can not proper by reason of big uncertainty and If laser setting error decrease, curvature radius get precision radius 10$\^$-5/.

  • A system for burr measurement is developed to measure the geometry of the burr formed in metal cutting or shearing operations. laser system is selected according to the required measuring accuracy and burr size. A specific program for calculating the burr geometry from measured laser data is developed. The raw data is obtained by scanning cross the burr. The height and width of burr are calculated. Due to the specific characteristic of laser peak or valley are formed in measuring sharp edges or small sharp cracks. Compensation for the peak or valley is carried out to make it possible to calculate the burr, burr geometry is measured in 3 dimension.

A Noise Control of a Ro-Ro Passenger Ferry (대형 Ro-Ro Ferry의 방음 설계)

  • In general, the essential requirement for cruisers or car ferries is the reduction in noise to ensure high quality and comfort. Recently, the Ro-Ro Passengers Ferry (ROPAX) was built in Hyundai Heavy Industries. In order to minimize the noise levels, careful attention have to De paid by the special committee of experts from the initial design stage to the sea trial. Proper countermeasures, considering the characteristics of sources and receiver spaces, were applied from the noise prediction and various experiment results. Finally, this ship was successfully delivered with excellent noise properties. This paper describes the procedure of noise analysis, the countermeasures of noise control, and the measurement results of the sea trial. Onboard noise analysis had been carried out by statistical energy analysis program and outdoor noise prediction program based on ISO9614. The prediction results are in good agreements with the measurement results. The technology to minimize the noise levels for cruisers or car ferries has been established throughout the construction of this ship.

  • In this paper, a method has been proposed for error measurement/diagnosis of CNC machine tools using the ball link bar on three dimensional space. For the circular motion error measurement, deviation between the desired and actual test path has been measured and analysed using a new type of ball link which incorporates ideal three point contact between reference balls and sockets. Computer program for the error evaluation has been developed and implemented under PC environment. Using the developed program, the circular test data on a CNC machine tool have been analysed, and thus, machine tool errors were effectively evaluated.

Development of an Automatic Measuring Program for the Pennation Angle Using Ultrasonography Image (초음파 영상 깃각 자동 측정 프로그램 개발)

  • Purpose : The parameters used in architectural analysis are muscle thickness, fascicle length, pennation angle, etc. Pennation angle is an important muscle characteristic that plays a significant role in determining a fascicle's force contribution to movement. Ultrasonography has been widely used to obtain the image for measurement of a pennation angle since it is non-invasive and real-time. However, manual assessment in ultrasonographic images is time-consuming and subjective, making it difficult for using in muscle function analysis. Thus, in this study, I proposed an automatic method to extract the pennation angle from the ultrasonographic images of gastrocnemius muscle. Method : The ultrasonographic image obtained from 10 healthy participants's gastrocnemius muscle using for developed automatic measuring program. Automatic measuring program algorithm consists with preprocessing, line detection, line classification, and angle calculation. The resulting image was then used to detect the fascicles and aponeuroses for calculating the pennation angle with the consideration of their distribution in ultrasonographic image. Result : The proposed automatic measurement program showed the stable repeatability of pennation angle calculation. Conclusion : This study demonstrated that the proposed method was able to automatically measure the pennation angle of gastrocnemius, which made it possible to easily and reliably investigate pennation angle more.
