Development of On-line Condition Monitoring Program of a Turboprop Engine (터보프롭 엔진의 온라인 상태감시 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, development and application of the condition monitoring and diagnostic system for improvement of durability and reliability and reduction of operating cost is generalized in the aircraft propulsion system. Especially, for reliable operation of the UAV which is flying in high altitude more than 40,000 ft for a long time an condition monitoring system to identify faults and degradations of its propulsion system should be needed. Therefore, this work proposes an on-line condition monitoring program using MATLAB/SIMULINK. In the development phase of the program, a engine signal generation module is used to simulate real engine measuring parameters instead of the real engine. The proposed on-line condition monitoring program was applied to a real turboprop engine to validate its application capability.

  • In this paper, we have predicted and analyzed the MSX 60 photovoltaic module's output according to the temperature and solar radiation conditions by MATLAB program. 2 and 3-dimensional I-V curves of the PV module considered temperature, series resistance and solar radiation variation. are shown. Also, calculated PV's electrical parameters are Isc = 3.8 A, Voc = 21 V, Pmax = 60 W. Compared with the actual photovoltaic module's data, these simulated results agreed well with within the manufacturer's maximum error range 3%.

Development of Reliability-Based Design Program based on the MATLAB GUI Environment (MATLAB GUI 환경기반 신뢰성 설계기법의 개발)

  • Development of the reliability-based design program in the GUI environment is inadequate for engineers familiar with the deterministic design to deal with the international design criterion based on the probabilistic design. In this study, the design program based on the GUI environment is developed in order to more efficiently input the design factor and more easily carry out the design works. The GUI environment is the GUIDE (Graphic User Interface Development Environment) tool supported by the latest MATALB version 7.1. In order to test the model reliability, the probabilities of failure (POF) on the breakwater armor block (AB) and gravity quay-wall (QW) in the sliding mode are computed using the model in the Level II and Level III. The POF are 55.4~55.7% for breakwater AB and 0.0006~0.0007% for gravity QW. A non-GUI environment program results of the POF are 55.6% for breakwater AB and 0.0018% for gravity QW. In comparison, the POF difference is negligible for breakwater AB because the exact input design parameters are available, whereas the large POF difference, but within the same order, for gravity QW can be explained by the difference of the input design factors because of the poor input data information.

  • The existing EMTP(Electromagnetic Transients Program) is writted by FORTRAN-77, has a closed architecture and uses a large number of code lines to satisfy requirements ranging from low level data manipulation to the actual solution mathematics which eventually become diluted and almost impossible to visualize. Thus has a difficulty in the development and maintenenace of its program module. This paper proposes a new design idea suitable (or a re-development of EMTP using the MATLAB and VISUAL-C++, which presents the development of the new EMTP package is operated in the window environment. The package has the GUI(Graphic User Interface) ability, and the MATLAB computation engine for an analysis of a transient state in an electric circuit.

  • In this paper, an electrical equivalent circuit is derived by solving system equations. A frequency characteristics graph is calculated and the characteristics curve of the linear Actuator Model System are simulated by the Matlab program The frequency characteristics of a linear actuator are analyzed on the structure of the linear Actuator Model System This paper proposed and analyzed the linear Actuator Model(LAM) by using Matlab program with linear actuator was verified computer simulation based on the energy conversion theory.

  • Currently, 6-axis articulated robots are used throughout the industry because of their 6-dof (degrees of freedom) and usability. However, 6-axis articulated robots have a fixed base and their movements are limited by the rotational operating range of each axis. If the angle of the 2-axis additional axes can be adjusted according to the position and orientation of the end-effector of the 6-axis articulated robot, the effectiveness of the 6-axis articulated robot can be further increased in areas where the angle is important, such as welding. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a cooperative kinematic inter-operation strategy. The strategy will be verified using the Simulink of MATLABⓇ, an engineering program, and RecurdynⓇ, a dynamic simulation program.

  • The PID controller design and choosing PID parameters according to system response are proposed in this paper. Here PID controller is employed to control DC motor speed and Matlab program is used for calculation and simulation. Choosing PID parameters are demonstrated by several contrast experiments and a way for setting PID parameters values is discussed.

  • In this paper, automatic control system for the Manta UUV are constructed for the diving and steering maneuver. PID controller and Fuzzy controller are adopted in this system. Based on the 6DOF dynamic equation, simulation program has been developed using the Matlab. Using this program, depth control system and heading control system with tidal current are evaluated.

  • A lot of DSM (Demand Side Management) programs have been implemented to promote the effective utilization of resources and the rational development of power industry, and various economic analyses and policy-based studies on DSM have been executed to determine effective subsidy budget. In this paper, a new objective function for deciding an optimal incentive allocation among various programs is presented by introducing the maximization of the total saving power of the programs. For simplicity, the objective function and the constraints is linearized to apply LP(Linear Programming) method. LP program based on Simplex Method was developed by MATLAB. An optimal incentive allocation of 4 DSM programs is presented by the use of the developed MATLAB program.

  • 전력계통의 절연설계에 있어 뇌과전압을 정확하게 측정하고 분석하는 것은 매우 중요하다 할 수 있다. 유도뢰 해석의 일환인 수치해석은 계산식을 기반으로 유도뢰 차폐효과에 대해 해석이 가능하나 이러한 수치적 해석은 선로정수, 뇌격전류의 크기 또는 접지저항 값이 변경되었을 경우 재계산을 하는데 다소 복잡한 과정을 거쳐야하기 때문에 이를 일괄적으로 처리할 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 필요성이 대두되었다. 이에 유도뢰 차폐효과 계산 프로그램을 MATLAB을 사용하여 개발하였다.
