The photovoltaic performance of solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells employing hole transport material (HTM), 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis-(N,N-di-p-methoxyphenyl-amine)-9,9'-spirobifluorene (spiro-MeOTAD), has been investigated in terms of HTM overlayer thickness. Two important parameters, soak time and spin-coating rate, are varied to control the HTM thickness. Decrease in the period of loading the spiro-MeOTAD solution on $TiO_2$ layer (soak time) leads to decrease in the HTM overlayer thickness, whereas decrease in spin-coating rate increases the HTM overlayer thickness. Photocurrent density and fill factor increase with decreasing the overlayer thickness, whereas open-circuit voltage remains almost unchanged. The improved photocurrent density is mainly ascribed to the enhanced charge transport rate, associated with the improved charge collection efficiency. Among the studied HTM overlayer thicknesses, ca. 230 nm-thick HTM overlayer demonstrates best efficiency of 4.5% at AM 1.5G one sun light intensity.
An analytical threshold voltage model is presented to observe the change in threshold voltage shift ΔVth of a junctionless double gate MOSFET using ferroelectric-metal-SiO2 as a gate oxide film. The negative capacitance transistors using ferroelectric have the characteristics of increasing on-current and lowering off-current. The change in the threshold voltage of the transistor affects the power dissipation. Therefore, the change in the threshold voltage as a function of theferroelectric thickness is analyzed. The presented threshold voltage model is in a good agreement with the results of TCAD. As a results of our analysis using this analytical threshold voltage model, the change in the threshold voltage with respect to the change in the ferroelectric thickness showed that the threshold voltage increased with the increase of the absolute value of charges in the employed ferroelectric. This suggests that it is possible to obtain an optimum ferroelectric thickness at which the threshold voltage shift becomes 0 V by the voltage across the ferroelectric even when the channel length is reduced. It was also found that the ferroelectric thickness increased as the silicon thickness increased when the channel length was less than 30 nm, but the ferroelectric thickness decreased as the silicon thickness increased when the channel length was 30 nm or more in order to satisfy ΔVth=0.
Purpose : this study was to evaluate the fitness of adjustable dental impression trays on the Koreans : the trays used in the previous study by Kim et al. as part of the dental adjustable tray development project were improved and modified. Material and method: The patterns of tray were made through CAD-CAM process, and a simple silicone-base molds were made from them. The trial products were reproduced by pouring polyurethane into these molds. 30 male students(Wonkwang University, Dental College) and 30 female students (Wonkwang Health Science College, Department of Dental Hygiene) were selected and Reversible hydrocolloid impression materials were used for this study. The fitness of the trays was evaluated by measuring the width and length of impression materials of each measurement sites. Results and conclusion : 1. In adapting the trays inside the mouth, a uniform width of impression material(3 $\sim$ 6mm) was obtained in most sites due to the tooth stops and the inclined planes accommodating the width of the tray 2. The thickness of impression material in the central part of the palate was a mean 9.8mm, which turned out to be somewhat thick. 3. In the mandible. the thickness of the impression material in the lingual side inferior to the contact point of the 1st and 2nd molars was 2.7mm, and the thickness of the material in the lingual side of the rearmost margin was 2.5 mm. The thickness of the impression material of these areas was relatively thin.
We investigate the influence of the New Electron Injection Layers (EIL) on the performance of the Alkali Metal Complex vapor-deposited Organic Light Emitting Diodes(OLED). Two different Alkali Metal Complex were used; Lithium Quinolate (Liq), and Sodium Quinolate (Naq). In all cases, $Alq_3$ was the Electron Transporting Layer (ETL). We measure and compare the current density-voltage (J-V) and luminance-voltage (L-V) characteristics. We concluded that the turn-on voltage, and luminance efficiency are controlled by the type of EIL material used. We show the longer life-time OLED with Alkali Metal Complex EIL than OLED with LiF EIL. And we show the Optimized Alkali Metal Complex thickness is 3nm. Existent LiF to because is inorganic material, there is trouble to do epitaxy into thin layers but regulates the thickness in case of Alkali Metal Complex matter characteristic that is easy be. Alkali Metal Complex also appeared by sensitive thing in thickness than LiF If utilize this material, It is thought much advantages may be at common use of OLED.
Multi layered thin films with ZnS/$Na_3AlF_6$/ZnS were deposited on glass substrate by thermal evaporator precess and simulated by using EMP(Essential Macleod Program). EMP is a comprehensive software package to design and analyse the optical characteristics of multi-layered thin film. ZnS and $Na_3AlF_6$ were selected as a high refractive index and low refractive index material respectively. Additionally Cu was chosen as mid reflective material. Optical properties including color effect were systematically studied. in terms of different optical thickness of low refractive index material. The optical thickness of $Na_3AlF_6$ was changed as 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and $1.0\lambda$. The film with 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and $1.0\lambda$. of optical thickness showed mixed color range between bluish green and red purple, yellowish green and bluish green, purple and mixed color range of green and purple respectively.
The hygro-thermo-mechanical bending behavior of sigmoid functionally graded material (S-FGM) plate resting on variable two-parameter elastic foundations is discussed using a four-variable refined plate theory. The material characteristics are distributed within the thickness direction according to the two power law variation in terms of volume fractions of the constituents of the material. By employing a four variable refined plate model, both a trigonometric distribution of the transverse shear strains within the thickness and the zero traction boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate are respected without utilizing shear correction factors. The number of independent variables of the current formulation is four, as against five in other shear deformation models. The governing equations are deduced based on the four-variable refined plate theory incorporating the external load and hygro-thermal influences. The results of this work are compared with those of other shear deformation models. Various numerical examples introducing the influence of power-law index, plate aspect ratio, temperature difference, elastic foundation parameters, and side-to-thickness ratio on the static behavior of S-FGM plates are investigated.
The surface of Mg alloy, AZ31 and AZ91, were treated by PEO (plasma electrolytic oxidation) in Na-P system electrolyte, with different applied voltage and time. Thickness, roughness and X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed several results. The more applied time and voltage of PEO treated, the thicker oxidized surface coating layer were covered. And surface roughness increased with the thickness of oxidized layer. It was thought that when oxide layer grew, resistivity and breakdown voltage increased with the thickness of layer, and then, the energy of micro plasma need to be higher then before. So, it made craters and pores of surface become greater, which were responsible for the coarse surface.
Effect of electrolyte composition and concentration on PEO coating layer were investigated. Mg alloy, Surface of AZ31 and AZ91 were oxidized using PEO with different electrolyte system, Na-P and Na-Si. and applied voltage and concentration. We measured thickness, roughness, X-ray crystallographic analysis and breakdown voltage of the oxidized layer. When increasing concentration of electrolyte, the thickness of oxide layer also increased too. And roughness also increased as concentration of electrolyte increasing. Breakdown voltage of coated layer showed same behavior, the voltage goes high as increasing thickness of coating layer, as increasing concentration of electrolyte, and increasing applied voltage of PEO. $Mg_2SiO_4$ phase were observed as well as MgO.

This paper is concerned with the static analysis of variable thickness of two directional functionally graded porous materials (FGPM) circular plate resting on a gradient hybrid foundation (Horvath-Colasanti type) with friction force and subjected to compound mechanical loads (e.g., transverse, in-plane shear traction and concentrated force at the center of the plate). The governing state equations are derived in terms of displacements based on the 3D theory of elasticity, assuming the elastic coefficients of the plate material except the Poisson's ratio varying continuously throughout the thickness and radial directions according to an exponential function. These equations are solved semi-analytically by employing the state space method (SSM) and one-dimensional differential quadrature (DQ) rule to obtain the displacements and stress components of the FGPM plate. The effect of concentrated force at the center of the plate is approximated with the shear force, uniformly distributed over the inner boundary of a FGPM annular plate. In addition to verification study and convergence analysis, numerical results are displayed to show the effect of material heterogeneity indices, foundation stiffness coefficients, foundation gradient indices, loads ratio, thickness to radius ratio, compressibility, porosity and friction coefficient of the foundation on the static behavior of the plate. Finally, the responses of FG and FG porous material circular plates to compound mechanical loads are compared.
