  • The object of this study was to investigate the effect of food material supply system on productivity in institutional foodservice. This study was examined by food service companies were enlisted under the influence of domestic enterprises, which used central supply system for the central kitchen operation and efficiency food material circulation system. The main result of this study was as follow: According to the analysis of these data, enlargement of efficiency in food utilization was placed at rising of utilization Processing food materials. And resulted in good expectations such as competitive strengthening, quality capacity strengthening and improvement in sanitary conditions from a productivity point of view.

  • In this paper, the utilization of waste foundry sand produced in the molding process is studied as a backfill material for underground electric utility systems such as concrete box structures and pipe lines for power supply. The physical, chemical and thermal properties for waste foundry sand are investigated for mechanical stability, environmental hazard and power transmission capacity. Also its properties are compared with the natural river sand. The test results show that waste foundry sand can be utilized for underground concrete box structures as a backfill material; however, it can not be applied to underground pipe lines due to high thermal resistivity or low power transmission capacity.

실리콘-탄소나노튜브-탄소 복합체 제조 및 리튬이온전지 응용 (Synthesis of Si-CNT-C Composites and Their Application to Lithium Ion Battery)

  • 리튬이온전지의 음극재로 높은 이론적인 용량과 낮은 방전 전위 및 무독성을 가진 실리콘이 높은 관심을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 리튬이온전지의 고효율 음극재로 활용을 위한 실리콘-탄소나노튜브-탄소(Si-CNT-C) 복합체를 제조하였다. 복합체 제조를 위해서는 에어로졸 자기조립과 후 열처리 공정을 사용하였다. 제조된 Si-CNT-C 복합체는 구형이었으며 평균 입자크기는 $2.72{\mu}m$이었다. 복합체의 크기는 실리콘 및 탄소나노튜브의 농도가 증가할수록 커지는 것을 확인하였다. Si-CNT-C 복합체는 탄소나노튜브와 글루코스에서 탄화된 탄소가 실리콘 입자들을 중심으로 표면에 부착된 형태이었다. 제조된 Si-CNT-C 복합체는 전기화학 분석을 통해 순수한 실리콘보다 우수한 사이클 성능을 보여주고 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Open education is more relevant to the current educational reality which requires the liberalization, individualization and creativeness, and the effectiveness of open education will be maximized with the full utilization of instructional media. As well known, there are many different types of instructional media to promote open education such as print material, audio material, still picture, movie, computer, and multimedia. The main criteria to choose effective instructional media for open education depend upon easiness of supply and retrieval of information, and promotion of more frequent interaction among participants. In addition, utilization method, cost, curriculum contents, as well as school culture are also elements to consider in the selection of right instructional media.

시멘트 원료로서 폐.부산자원의 활용 (Utilization of Waste and Industrial Byproducts as a Raw Material in the Manufacture of Portland Cement)

  • The utilization of waste and industrial byproduct materials, such as blast furnace slag, shales, poor coal and anthracite briquet ash, were investigated as a source of calcareous or argillaceous material in the manufacture of Portland cement. As a slag is similar to cement in chemical compoment and contains about 40∼50% of CaO, it's utilization in cement manufacture should be suitable. The burnability was increased and the heat of clinker formation was decreased by using slag. Some consideration should betaken in the use of large quantity because of sticking in suspension preheater kiln. Suitable quantities of colliery shales and poor coal should be useable in cement manufacture as a argillaceous materials and also its combustible materials should be utilized in cement manufacture. Anthracite briquet ash is also usable as a argillaceous source and it gives good burnability.

중공 잉곳을 이용한 대형 링 단조품 제조공정 설계 연구 (Process Design on Fabrication of Large Sized Ring by Mandrel Forging of Hollow Cast Ingot)

  • Ring forging process is more appropriate for high-length and thin walled ring, because it utilizes the forging press and hence does not require heavy-duty ring rolling mill. Although ring forging process is very simple and economic for facilities, the process is not efficient because of multi-forging-step and low material utilization. An effective ring forging process is developed using a hollow ingot. When a hollow ingot is used with a workpiece, the ingot can be forged into a final ring without multi-stage pre-forging process, such as, cogging, upsetting, and piercing, etc.. Finally it has advantages of the material utilization and process improvement because a few reheating and forging process are not necessary to make workpiece for ring forging. The important design variables are the applied plastic deformation energy to eliminate cast structure and make uniform properties. In this study, the mechanical properties after forging of hollow cast ingot were investigated from the experiment using circumferential sectional model. Also, the effects of process variables were studied by FEM simulation on the basis of thermo-visco-plastic constitutive equation. Applied strain is different at each position in length direction because diameter of hollow ingot is different in length direction. The different strain distribution become into a narrow gap by additional plastic deformation during diameter extension process.

해파리 피해 실태 및 산업적 이용 방향 (A Study on Direction of Industrial Utilization for Jellyfish in Korea)

  • The study aims at suggesting the direction of industrial utilization for harmful jellyfish which appears in large quantities in the Korean coastal areas. If the technology of industrial utilization for the jellyfish is developed, it will be possible to grow the industry to the export industry due to the mass appearance of jellyfish in Korean coastal areas. The industrial utilization of jellyfish should follow the direction of minimizing the damage by the jellyfish blooms and maximizing the resource recycling of the jellyfish. Therefore, Korea needs construction of infrastructure for the industrialization and promotion of R&D in order to activate the industrial utilization. Finally, the study suggested issues and tasks for promoting the industrial utilization of jellyfish as follows. First, Korea should stabilize the high quality raw material supply system. Second, mass processing technology should be developed for the industrial utilization of the jellyfish. Third, research and manual development should follow for the preparation of turning the jellyfish to the food. Fourth, extraction technology of useful non-food substance such as extracting collagen from jellyfish should be developed and accelerate the industrial utilization of non-food area.

  • Improving public awareness of wood is crucial for expanding the use of wood and establishing a wood culture. In this study, the environment and trends of the public's wood utilization were analyzed using a questionnaire survey and online text mining at a time when eco-friendly practices are gaining popularity. As a result of reducing climatic and environmental concerns and its positive physical and psychological effects, the use of wood is predicted to rise in areas intimately connected to everyday living, such as wood furniture, wooden structures, and interior materials. Nonetheless, there was a negative awareness that wood was expensive, difficult to maintain, and associated with deforestation. The correlations between wood-related search terms on major Korean portal sites were analyzed and categorized into five groups: Wooden architecture, cultural education, woodworking, wood industry, and wood policy. As a building material, wood was seen as more traditional and friendly than reinforced concrete and stone. Eighty-six percent of respondents expected to utilize wood as a building material in the future, regardless of whether the wood is domestically produced or imported. Sixty-five percent responded favorably about the effects of wood on the health of wooden home inhabitants. It is believed that both active publicity and quantifiable value analysis of human and environmental friendliness are required to increase pro-environment awareness of wood utilization.

하수슬러지 소각재를 이용한 건설자재 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Construction Material using Sewage Sludge Ash)

  • The discharge of sewage sludge ash that is rapidly increasing in Korea. The utilization of sewage sludge ash would contribute to the elimination of an environmental problem and to the development of new high-performance materials. So the paper is focused on an experimental study in order to investigate the utilization of sewage sludge ash as the construction materials. It achieves leaching test, chemical composition and compressive strength test. As a result of tests, the sewage sludge ash has sufficient potential for use of pozzolanic raw material. However. it is judged to be available to construction material if research is continuously gone.
