건설재료로 재활용하는 회사장 혼합석탄재의 환경적 검토 방법 (The Environmental Analyzing Method of Mixed Coal Ash in Ash Pond to Recycle as a Construction Material)

  • 생활폐기물과 달리, 산업폐기물의 재활용에 대해서는 위험성이나 유해성 등의 우려와 선입견 때문에 정부차원의 제도적 지원은 물론 법규 등의 정비도 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 산업폐기물의 재활용에 대한 법규와 제도적 정비가 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 회사장 혼합석탄재에 대한 환경인자들의 검토과정과 결과를 고찰 정리함으로써 산업폐기물인 혼합석탄재를 건설재료로 활용함에 있어 필요로 하는 환경적 검토 방법을 제시하고 있다. 회사장 혼합석탄재는 일반폐기물로 분류되고, 폐기물공정시험 방법에 의한 용출실험 결과의 해당 항목을 비교 검토한 결과 본 연구에서 제안한 '환경적 안전 기준'을 충족하고 있어 건설재료로의 재활용에는 환경적 문제가 없는 것으로 검토되었다. 그리고 자료축적을 위해 재활용이 이루어진 후에는 시간경과에 따른 주변지역 환경영향조사를 실시함이 필요하다고 사료된다.

폴리에스터 부직포를 이용한 자동차용 흡음재의 흡음특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Sound Absorption of the Polyester Non-Woven Fabrics Used for the Automobile Sound Absorption Material)

  • 폴리에스터를 이용하여 새로운 자동차용 흡음재를 개발하였다. 흡음의 효과를 최대화시키기 위하여 PET 섬유의 크기를 3과 15 denier로 달리하여 3개의 층으로 제작하였으며, 이때 각층의 중량을 조절하여 밀도를 변화시켰다(895~1790 g/$cm^2$). 또한 PET흡음재의 상업성을 알아보기 위하여 시판하고 있는 glass wool로 제조된 흡음재와 비교 분석하였다. 새로운 PET흡음재는 시판되고 있는 glass wool 흡음재보다 저주파와 고주파대역 모두에서 더 우수한 흡음성능을 보여주었다. 또한 PET흡음재의 밀도와 두께가 흡음성능에 중요한 영향이 있으며, 최적화된 PET흡음재는 시판되고 있는 흡음재와 비교하여 NRC (noise reduction coefficient)가 약 22-39% 향상되었다. 따라서 PET는 성능은 물론이고 환경과 재활용혈에서 glass wool을 충분히 대체할 수 있으리라 생각한다.

리싸이클 CFRP 적용 C/C 복합재료 제조 및 특성 연구 (Study of Manufacturing Process and Properties of C/C Composites with Recycled Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics)

  • 본 연구는 기존의 폐CFRP를 재활용하여 얻은 재생 탄소섬유를 다시 CFRP 제조에 활용하는 대신 탄소를 모재로 구성하는 탄소/탄소 (Carbon/Carbon, C/C) 복합소재를 제조하는 원료로 활용하기 위한 것이다. 먼저 일반적으로 많이 활용되는 에폭시수지 복합재료의 열분해 공정에 산화-불활성 분위기 변환 기술을 적용하여 1~2% 수준의 잔탄률을 19%까지 향상시켰으며, 이를 통해 에폭시수지 활용 C/C 복합재료 제조 가능성을 확인하였다. 다만, 산화-불활성 분위기 제어를 통한 열분해 공정으로 얻은 탄소의 경우 산소결합도가 높아 추후 개선 연구가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 폐CFRP를 열분해 열처리 후 파쇄 및 해쇄 공정을 통해 단섬유 C/C 복합재료 시험편을 제조하였으며 이에 대한 기계적 물성 평가를 통해 최적 공정 조건을 도출하였다.

소각용융슬래그의 특성 및 수처리 여과재 활용에 관한 연구 (The Charateristics of Melting Slag from MSWI and Sewage Water Filter Application)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 폐기물에서 발생되는 소각재 용융슬래그의 여과재 활용가능성을 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 소각재 용융슬래그의 여과재 기능을 수행할 수 있는지 안전성 검토를 수행하고, 일반적인 여과재로 사용되는 주문진 표준사를 대조군으로 하여 실제 여과실험을 수행함으로서 그 여과능을 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 용융슬래그 여과재는 중금속 용출율이 지정폐기물 허용기준 내로 사용이 가능한 수준이며, 여과 실험 결과 SS와 COD의 경우 표준여과사와 유사한 수준의 여과능을 나타내었으며, T-N, T-P의 경우는 표준여과사 보다 소각용융슬래그가 T-N은 26.96%, T-P는 6.55% 더 높은 처리율을 보였다. 또한, 소각용융슬래그의 입경에 따른 제거율 비교를 수행한 결과 No.40#(0.43mm)와 혼입경의 경우 표준여과사와 동등 또는 그 이상의 여과능을 보였다. 따라서, 용융슬래그를 여과사로 활용할 경우 주문진 표준사에 비하여 자원절약과 자원재활용의 효과를 가져 올 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

CMP 폐슬러리내의 필터링된 연마 입자 재활용에 관한 연구 (A study on the recycle of reused slurry abrasives)

  • CMP (chemical mechanical polishing) process remained to solve several problems in deep sub-micron integrated circuit manufacturing process. especially consumables (polishing pad, backing film, slurry, pad conditioner), one of the most important components in the CMP system is the slurry. Among the composition of slurries (buffer solution, bulk solution, abrasive particle, oxidizer, inhibitor, suspension, antifoaming agent, dispersion agent), the abrasive particles are important in determining polish rate and planarization ability of a CMP process. However, the cost of abrasives is still very high. So, in order to reduce the high COO (cost of ownership) and COC (cost of consumables) in this paper, we have collected the silica abrasive powders by filtering after subsequent CMP process for the purpose of abrasive particle recycling. And then, we have studied the possibility of recycle of reused silica abrasive through the analysis of particle size and hardness. Also, we annealed the collected abrasive powders to promote the mechanical strength of reduced abrasion force. Finally, we compared the CMP characteristics between self-developed KOH-based silica abrasive slurry and original slurry. As our experimental results, we obtained the comparable removal rate and good planarity with commercial products. Consequently, we can expect the saving of high cost slurry.

  • Solar cells has been studied mainly the high efficiency and lower prices. Using recycling wafer as a way to realize their money in it, there is a way to manufacture a solar cell substrate. How to play the recycling wafer, CMP(Chemical Mechanical Polishing) and remelting process is the complex and the expensive equipment. However, using the Micro-Blaster, the process easier, and cheaper prices. Micro-Blaster confirmed that the remaining amount of material left after the process recycling wafer surface.

  • The present paper aims to give basic information to establish zero emission material cycle including the minimization of emissions from industrial production processes and the area in regional scale. Strategies and methodologies to analyze emissions from the production processes and our human activities and to reduce those emissions by refining and/or replacing the unit process with the alternatives are introduced as well. Quantitative evaluation and management systems of any raw materials and the production process are from vie points of treatment are essential. Estabiishment of a process networking for the recycle of discharged non-products materials by the intra-process, trans-process and the trans-industries are proposed. Procedures and priorities to formulate industrial and regional zero emission system are proposed as well.

장류식품 대량제조시 폐기되는 콩 삶은 물의 재활용을 위한 품질특성 분석 (Quality Analysis for Recycle of the Drained Soybean Boiling Water Discarded in the Mass Production of Fermented Soy Foods)

  • Nutritional components and quality characteristics of drained soybean boiling water(DBW), which is discarded in the mass production of fermented soy foods, were compared with raw soybean(Control) and Cheonggukjang(CGJ) to provide the basic data for its recycle. The contents of moisture, crude protein, crude lipid and crude ash of DBW were shown as 87%, 2.2%, 0.15% and 1.42%, respectively. Decreased total amino acid of 1,677.8 mg/100g in DBW was comparable with 29,051.1 mg/100g in control, however, there was no great difference in the proportion of essential amino acid to the total. While the total sugar contents were decreased in both DBW and CGJ with 8.39% and 7.17% each from the control of 11.50%, the reducing sugars were increased with higher amount of 6.44% in CGJ and 8.30% in DBW than 5.60% in control. pH of DBW was lower than both of the control and CGJ. Hunter's color values revealed the increase of redness(a value) and yellowness(b value) of DBW and CGJ suggesting that Maillard reaction products were produced by the heating and fermentation process. Polyphenol compounds were highly abundant in CGJ of 0.74 tannic acid equivalent(mg/g) followed by similar low amounts of 0.33 and 0.29 tannic acid equivalent(mg/g) in DBW and control, respectively. Antioxidative activity determined by Electron Donating Ability(%) using DPPH radical showed that CGJ, of which polyphenols were the highest, has the strongest electron donating ability with the lowest $EC_{50}$ value of 5.91 mg/mL. DBW was much lower but similar with the control. From the above results the drained soybean boiling water was shown to have many nutritional and functional components as much as soybean, therefore, it could be a potent reusable food material.

생활쓰레기 재활용 문제점과 개선방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on the problems of daily wastes recycle and the improvement plan)

  • Conclusion and the improvement plan according to the survey on recycling wastes in 'the program of woman and environmental education' mainly for the chairwomen of the women's association of the apartment house in City and County of Chungchongnamdo during the first half of 1998 (from March tp April) are as follows. 1. Conclusion 1) It showed that the rate of recognition for recycle has no difference by regional groups and the rate of recognition is 57.4% but they mainly know vaguely or they do not know. 2) It showed that the rate they do not know how the separated wastes are recycled is 30.4% and the scope of their knowledge is approximative.(52.6%) 3) It showed that it is the housewives who mainly do the separate garbage collection (72.7%) and 19.1% of the people have no interest in the separate discharge. 4) It showed that the rate they filter the garbage or remove water from the garbage at house is 53.1%. And 20% of the people in the urban region dump untreated wastes but 8.5% of the people in the rural region do the same, so the rate of using garbage in the rural region is higher than that in the urban region. 5) It showed that the separate state of the garbage is 29.2% for the removal of toothpick and paper and 47.4% for the removal of vinyl and stopper. 6) It showed that 66.7% of the motive for recycling waste is the education activity for environment by the women's association and SAEMAEUL association and 34.5% of that is the influence of TV and radio. 7) It showed that the rate of making compost and feed using garbage in the rural region is higher than that in the urban region and in some urban regions, the rate they sprinkle the garbage in provisional compost state on the floor garden is high. 8) It showed that the recognition rate for the material of separately collected garbage corresponding to the separate waste system of 5-6 classification is 12.5% 9) It showed that the major variable which has an effect on the recycle is the education activity for environment by the neighborhood meeting(P<0.05) and by the women's association of saemaeul activity(P<0.05)
