Objective: The purpose of this nationwide age- and sex- matched longitudinal study was to determine the pyogenic spondylitis (PS) increases the incidence of ischemic stroke (IS) in Korea. Methods: From the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), we collected the patient data for the period from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2015. PS was classified according to the International Classification of Disease codes M46.2-M46.8, M49.2, and M49.3. By using a 1:5 age- and sex- stratified matching, a total of 628 patients and 3140 control subjects were included in the study. The IS incidence rates in PS and control group was calculated by using the Kaplan-Meier method. The outcome of hazard ratio of IS was estimated by Cox proportional hazards regression analyses. This study did not exclude PS as a result of postoperative complications. Results: According to the study, 51 patients (8.12%) in the PS group and 201 patients (6.4%) in the control group experienced IS. The adjusted hazard ratio of IS in the PS group was 3.419 (95% CI: 2.473-4.729) after adjusting individual medical condition and demographics. Following the results of subgroup analysis, the risk ratio of IS was greater in most of the subgroup categories (male, female, age <65, age >65, non-diabetic, hypertensive, non-hypertensive, dyslipidemic and non-dyslipidemic subgroup). However, the risk of IS did not differ significantly in diabetic subgroup (95% CI: 0.953-4.360). Conclusions: The risk rate of IS increased in patient with pyogenic spondylitis.

The data of buildings and structures take over large portions of the mapping database with large numbers. Furthermore, those shapes and attributes of building data continuously change over time. Due to those factors, the efficient methodology of updating database for following the most recent data become necessarily. This study has purposed on extracting needed data, which has been changed, by using overlaying analysis of new and old dataset, during updating processes. Following to procedures, we firstly searched for matching pairs of objects from each dataset, and defined the classification algorithm for building updating cases by comparing; those of shape updating cases are divided into 8 cases, while those of attribute updating cases are divided into 4 cases. Also, two updated dataset are set to be automatically saved. For the study, we selected few guidelines; the layer of digital topographic map 1:5000 for the targeted updating data, the building layer of Korea Address Information System map for the reference data, as well as build-up areas in Gwanak-gu, Seoul for the test area. The result of study updated 82.1% in shape and 34.5% in attribute building objects among all.

Background: Recently, mesenchymal stem cells therapy has been performed in dogs, although the outcome is not always favorable. Objectives: To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) using dog leukocyte antigen (DLA) matching between the donor and recipient in vitro. Methods: Canine adipose-derived MSCs (cA-MSCs) isolated from the subcutaneous tissue of Dog 1 underwent characterization. For major DLA genotyping (DQA1, DQB1, and DRB1), peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from two dogs (Dogs 1 and 2) were analyzed by direct sequencing of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products. The cA-MSCs were co-cultured at a 1:10 ratio with activated PBMCs (DLA matching or mismatching) for 3 days and analyzed for immunosuppressive (IDO, PTGS2, and PTGES), inflammatory (IL6 and IL10), and apoptotic genes (CASP8, BAX, TP53, and BCL2) by quantitative real-time reverse transcriptase-PCR. Results: cA-MSCs were expressed cell surface markers such as CD90+/44+/29+/45- and differentiated into osteocytes, chondrocytes, and adipocytes in vitro. According to the Immuno Polymorphism Database, DLA genotyping comparisons of Dogs 1 and 2 revealed complete differences in genes DQA1, DQB1, and DRB1. In the co-culturing of cA-MSCs and PBMCs, DLA mismatch between the two cell types induced a significant increase in the expression of immunosuppressive (IDO/PTGS2) and apoptotic (CASP8/BAX) genes. Conclusions: The administration of cA-MSCs matching the recipient DLA type can alleviate the need to regulate excessive immunosuppressive responses associated with genes, such as IDO and PTGES. Furthermore, easy and reliable DLA genotyping technology is required because of the high degree of genetic polymorphisms of DQA1, DQB1, and DRB1 and the low readability of DLA 88.

As unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) and sensors have been developed in a variety of ways, it has become possible to update information on the ground faster than existing aerial photography or remote sensing. However, acquisition and input of ground control points(GCPs) UAV photogrammetry takes a lot of time, and geometric distortion occurs if measurement and input of GCPs are incorrect. In this study, RGB-based orthophotos were generated to reduce GCPs measurment and input time, and comparison and evaluation were performed by applying feature point algorithms to target orthophotos from various sensors. Four feature point extraction algorithms were applied to the two study sites, and as a result, speeded up robust features(SURF) was the best in terms of the ratio of matching pairs to feature points. When compared overall, the accelerated-KAZE(AKAZE) method extracted the most feature points and matching pairs, and the binary robust invariant scalable keypoints(BRISK) method extracted the fewest feature points and matching pairs. Through these results, it was confirmed that the AKAZE method is superior when performing geometric correction of the objective orthophoto for each sensor.

In this paper, a complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) power amplifier(PA) integrated circuit operating in the 900 MHz band for long-term evolution(LTE) communication systems is presented. The output matching network based on a transformer was implemented on a printed circuit board for low loss. Simultaneously, to achieve high efficiency of the PA, the second harmonic impedances are controlled. The CMOS PA was fabricated using a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and measured using an LTE uplink signal with a bandwidth of 10 MHz and peak to average power ratio of 7.2 dB for verification. The implemented CMOS PA module exhibits a power gain of 24.4 dB, power-added efficiency of 34.2%, and an adjacent channel leakage ratio of -30.1 dBc at an average output power level of 24.3 dBm.

Objective: To investigate the clinical impact of a quality improvement program including dedicated emergency radiology personnel (QIP-DERP) on the management of emergency surgical patients in the emergency department (ED). Materials and Methods: This retrospective study identified all adult patients (n = 3667) who underwent preoperative body CT, for which written radiology reports were generated, and who subsequently underwent non-elective surgery between 2007 and 2018 in the ED of a single urban academic tertiary medical institution. The study cohort was divided into periods before and after the initiation of QIP-DERP. We matched the control group patients (i.e., before QIP-DERP) to the QIP-DERP group patients using propensity score (PS), with a 1:2 matching ratio for the main analysis and a 1:1 ratio for sub-analyses separately for daytime (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays) and after-hours. The primary outcome was timing of emergency surgery (TES), which was defined as the time from ED arrival to surgical intervention. The secondary outcomes included ED length of stay (LOS) and intensive care unit (ICU) admission rate. Results: According to the PS-matched analysis, compared with the control group, QIP-DERP significantly decreased the median TES from 16.7 hours (interquartile range, 9.4-27.5 hours) to 11.6 hours (6.6-21.9 hours) (p < 0.001) and the ICU admission rate from 33.3% (205/616) to 23.9% (295/1232) (p < 0.001). During after-hours, the QIP-DERP significantly reduced median TES from 19.9 hours (12.5-30.1 hours) to 9.6 hours (5.7-19.1 hours) (p < 0.001), median ED LOS from 9.1 hours (5.6-16.5 hours) to 6.7 hours (4.9-11.3 hours) (p < 0.001), and ICU admission rate from 35.5% (108/304) to 22.0% (67/304) (p < 0.001). Conclusion: QIP-DERP implementation improved the quality of emergency surgical management in the ED by reducing TES, ED LOS, and ICU admission rate, particularly during after-hours.

The zinc prosphate film treatments used to lubricating treatment of mostly cold forging processes. But there are several problems happened to lubricating treatment process such as happening harmful environment on person, complex lubrication processing occurring in energy and time consumption, eco-destructive and chemical by-product generation, the needs of waste disposal etc. As a result, a water-soluble lubricant was developed to replace the perfect or some of the zinc prosphate film in the world. In order to solve these problems, this study evaluated the performance of the typical water-soluble. In this study, for these requirement inquiry of two part. First, about possibility of replace zinc phosphate lubricant, quantitatively evaluation developed of water-soluble lubricant for cold forging vs zinc phosphate lubricant. Second, About optimization of coating Process use to equipment with practicable automatic coating Process. The performance evaluation of these lubricants was conducted using the double cup extrusion test and spike forging test. With the use of the commercial FE code DEFORM, friction factor calibration curves, i.e. cup height ratio vs. punch stroke and spike height vs. punch stroke, were established for different friction factor values. By matching the cup height ratio and the punch stroke and spike height vs. punch stroke from experiment to that obtained from FE simulations, the friction factor of the lubricants was determined. Survey of comparative analysis use to SEM that sprayed lubricant surface structure of grain shape and characteristic of lubricant performance based on grain shape and deformed lubricant surface expansion. As a result, developed lubricant were found to perform comparable to or better than zinc phosphate. And thought this result, innovatively cope with generated problem of existing lubrication process.

This paper reports the design of RFID reader antennas working in UHF band. The reader antennas were designed using a Pareto Genetic Algorithm(Pareto GA). Antennas were optimized to have circular polarization(CP) with less than 3 dB axial ratio, impedance matching with less than VSWR=2 within the frequency range of UHF, an adequate readable range, a restricted size(kr<2.22) considering the practical condition. After Pareto GA optimization, we selected and built the most suitable antenna design and compared the measured results to the simulations. Operating principle of the antenna was explained by investigating the amplitude and the phase of the induced current on the antenna body. We also researched the stability of the antenna with respect to the manufacturing error and studied the critical design parameters by applying the random error method on the antenna bent points.

This paper propose a new taegeuk shaped directional couper and verify the possibility of high power division rate in those directional coupler through the experiments. We took the taegeuk shaped structure in those proposed directional coupler to utilize a $3\lambda/4$ section of hybrid ring directional coupler actively, and calculated the branch admittances, which satisfied the condition of perfect matching and isolation in the center frequency, by even odd mode analyzing methodes. On the result, we knew that it can be realized a much higher power division rate than reported result in same circuit area within the producible resistance limit in the microstrip line, made the taegeuk shaped directional couplers with 0, 8, 16 dB power split ratio in the 10 GHz frequency using CGP - 502 plate, and confirmed the validity of theory through the experiments.

This paper proposes a fractal compression method using the domain classification and local searching, which utilize DCT coefficient characteristic Generally, the fractal Image encoding method has a time consuming process to search a domain to be matched with range block In order to reduce computation complexity, the domain and range regions are respectively classified into 4 category by using the characteristics of DCT coefficients and each range region is encoded by a method suitable for the property of its category Since the bit amount of the compressed image depends on the number of range blocks, the matching of domain block and range block is induced on the large range block by using local search, so that compression ratio is increased by reducing the number of range block In the local search, the searching complexity is reduced by determining the direction and distance of searching using the characteristics of DCT coefficients The experimental results shows that the proposed algorithm have 1 dB higher PSNR and 0 806 higher compression ratio than previous algorithm.
