Discharge valve mechanism for an electrodynamic-oscillating compressor is different from that of a conventional reciprocating compressor. It has a larger discharge port area, heavier valve mass and stiffer valve spring comparing with the reciprocating one. Since the motion of piston is not kinematically restricted as in conventional reciprocating compressors, the stroke of the piston can change sensitively with supplied boltage and load. Thus piston can impact with discharge valve occasionally. This work deals on dynamic analysis of discharge valve considering all of those different characteristics. Impact is considered by a spring-mass model, and the pressure fluctuation at the both sides of the valve is also included considering the discharge port area and valve spring preload. It is assumed that piston moves in the region of between top and bottom dead center not by calculating piston motion from an electrodynamic equation but by getting values through experiment. Discharge pressure fluctuation is calculated using Helmholtz modeling. Finally, dynamic model for a discharge valve is constructed. In order to validate the model analysis results, the valve motion is experimentally measured and compared with analysis.

This research was concerned with the enhancement of heat transfer by surfactant added to the aqueous solution of LiBr. Different vertical tubes were tested with and without an additive of normal octyl alcohol. The test tubes are a bare inner surface. a groove inner surface, a corrugated inner surface and a spring inserted inner surface tubes. The additive concentration was about 0.08 mass%. The heat transfer coefficient was measured as a function of the film Reynolds number in the range of 20~200. Experiments were carried out at higher cooling water temperature of $35^{\circ}C$ to simulate an air cooling condition for several kinds of absorber testing tubes. The experimental results were compared with and without surfactant. The enhancement of heat transfer by Marangoni convection effect which was generated by addition of the surfactant is observed in each test tube. Especially, it is clarified that the tube with an inserted spring has the highest enhancement effect.
All types of dynamic excitation, periodical, pulse or transient in vertical, horizontal or all three directions can be effectively reduced by vibration isolation systems. Typical elements for vibration isolation control are spring units consisting of a group of helical compression springs. In all cases of shock, transient or random excitation energy absorbing dampers have to be added to the spring units in order to reduce system response in the frequency range near the natural frequency of the isolation system. The same isolation system of spring units and viscos-dampers has been used since 1979 for passive protection of buildings and structures has been proved to by very advantageous for vibration and structure borne noise control. Not only because of high vertical flexibility of the spring units, compared for example with typical rubber or neoprene mounts out also because of the horizontal of flexibility, which can be adapted by modifying the spring dimensions to nearly every requirement. It is just normal to use the same basic elements for passive isolation as for active isolation.
A Dual Mass Flywheel system is a evolution to the reduction of torsional vibration and impact noise occuring in powertrain when a vehicle is eit-her moving or idling. The name already explains what it is : The mass of the conventional single mass flywheel is divided. One section continues to belong to the mass moment of inertia of the engine-side. The ot-her section increass the mass moment of inertia of the transmission-side. The two masses are connected via a spring /damping system. This reduces the speed at which the dreaded resonance occurs to below idle speed. Since 1984 Dual Mass Flywheel has been de-veloped again and again. But the prosidures of de-velopment of D.M.F system didn't have had differe-nce from conventional clutch system's trial and err-or This paper presents the method for systematical design of D.M.F system with demensionless design variables of D.M.F system mass ratio between two flywheels λ. natual frequency rate of two flywheel s, ${\gamma}$and viscosity coefficient ζ. And experimental re-sults are used to prove these theoretical results.
Under magnetism , as the magneticfluid is being itself magnetized, increase the apparent viscosity because of its body force and has the magnetic characteristics in response ot magnetism, the magnetic fluid is getting attention in various field. The magnetic fluid has the fluidity, which is a special characteristics of fluid and the magneticism , which is a special one of solid. Using this characteristics, this study has been proceeded to show the basic data for developing of a viscous damper with magnetism fluid as hydraulic fluid. Experimental study shows that the application of magnetic field is effective reducing the resonance characteristics of the spring-mass system.
This paper is concerned with the theoretical and experimental study on the force conrtrol of a miniature robotic gripper. The gripper is an uniform flexible cantilever equipped with a distributed set of compact force sensor. As an actuator piezoelectric acturator, piezoelectric acturator is fixed with cupper plate at which the beam is clamped. The mathematical model of the assembled electro-mechaincal system is developed. The force sensor is described by a set of concentrated mass-spring system. The formulated equations of motion are applied to he study of a control problem where the gripper is commanded to grip an object The usefulness of the PID control technique is verified by experiment.
In this paper, noise and vibration reduction of double-resiliently mounted pump-like machinery is studied. SBN(Structure-borne noise) reduction through upper and lower mount is analyzed by assuming that the system is modeled as a mass-spring system. In addition, the impedance of the floor is included in the prediction. The comparison of the SBN difference through upper mount show that the effect of impedance is negligible, while the measurement differs significantly from the prediction for high frequency range. It is found that the assumption of point mass-spring system leads to the disagreement between prediction and measurements.
Several reactor system components, such as heat exchange tubes, fuel fins, controlrods, and various instruments are beam-like components. This study presents a simple solution method for calculating the natural frequencies and modes of beams supported by linear and torsional springs and attached concentrated mass and rotational inertia at some intermediate points. For a general multi-span beam, theoretical method is proposed to analyze the exact solution about vibrational characteristics with respect to the nondimensional parameters. And the results obtained using the numerical models are presented and discussed.
