The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between the intention of pregnancy and the child rearing attitudes of mothers with infants. The data was collected from 138 mothers by means of an interview and questionnaire in a period from April 1 to April 30, 1997, when they came to have their infants vaccinated at one hospital and one health care center. The collected data was analyzed by means of the SPSS Program using percentage, means and standard deviation in each area and the ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The results of this study were as follows : 1. It showed that the mother's degree of intention of pregnancy was 3.90(±1.49) among the possible score of 0∼5 and the score of child rearing attitudes was 70.1 among the possible score of 20∼100. The mom score of the items was 3.50(±.36) among the possible score of 0∼5. 2. There was a significant relation between the intention of pregnancy and child rearing attitudes. It was mildly positive but was significant (r=.21, p<0.05). 3. There was a significant relation between the period from marriage to the time of pregnancy and the intention or pregnancy(F=.57, p<0.05). Also, it was found out that the group of mothers who became pregnant later than 12 months after marriage wanted after pregnancy more than the group of women who were pregnant within 12 months after marriage(F=11.30, p<0.01). 4. There was a significant relation between the period from marriage to the time of pregnancy and child rearing attitudes(F=4.14, p<0.05), It showed that the child rearing attitudes of the group of women who became pregnant later than 12 months after marriage was positive(F=11.42, p<0.01). Also, in case that the both the husband and wife decided on the pregnancy, the child rearing attitudes were more positive (F=7.15, p< 0.05). In conclusion, when the intention of pregnancy was stronger, the subjects' child rearing attitudes were more positive. Also when both the husband and wife decided on the pregnancy, the attitudes were more positive. So it seems that both husband and wife should discuss and agree upon pregnancy, having a sufficient period during which both the spouses prepare for the intention of pregnancy. Additionally, it is suggested that when the husband and wife are doing family planning, it would be beneficial to use a program of 'Woman's Intention on Pregnancy' during this process.
The notable findings are as follow: First, men show higher level of perceiving open marriage, sex-role, acceptance of extra-marital relationship and intention of extra-marital sex than that of women. Second, the effects of men's perception of sex-role and open marriage, and the acceptance of extra-marital relationship have direct effects on their intention of extra-marital sex. The acceptance of extra-marital relationship shows the mediation effect on the path between that of open marriage and extra-marital sex among men. However, men's perception of sex-role does not affect the acceptance of extra-marital relationship. Lastly, women's perception of sex-role and open marriage, and the acceptance of extra-marital relationship directly influence the intention of extra-marital sex each, including the mediating effect of accepting extra-marital relationship between that of open marriage and extra-marital sex which are similar to the men's trend. Women's perception of sex-role show the direct effect on the acceptance of extra-marital relationship unlike man's trend. Therefore, the fact demonstrates that the effect of perceiving of sex-role on the intention of extra-marital sex is different according to gender. Some practical and political implications are discussed based on the study's findings.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of empowerment, self-efficacy, and turnover intention of dental hygienists. Date were obtained from 213 dental hygienists who were working at dental clinics, hospitals located in Seoul Kyung-ki. The results were analyzed with spsswin 9.0 and the conclusion is as follows; 1. The level of dental hygienists empowerment was 3.07, self-efficacy was 3.67, and their turnover intention was 2.98. 2. According to the working place and position, there were significant differences in empowerment(p<0.05). 3. According to the experienced-years, position, marriage and turnover experience there were significant differences in self-efficacy(p<0.05). 4. According to the position and marriage, there were significant differences in turnover intention(p<0.05). 5. Empowerment showed significant a positive correlation with self-efficacy and significant a negative correlation with turnover intention. 6. Turnover intention, information structure and opportunity structure accounted significantly for the empowerment structure and self-efficacy. 7. Self-efficacy and GE structure accounted significantly for the turnover intention.

Purpose : This study aims to identify the influence of individual, parental, workplace, and policy variables on the intention of marriage of unmarried workers. The results of the study can be used as a basis to come up with policy and practical measures to increase these workers' intention of marriage. Methods : Data was collected from 480 participants through a questionnaire. The measuring tools in this study were tested for reliability and validity. In addition, technical statistics, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed by SPSS 18.0. Results : First, unmarried workers' willingness to marry was higher above the average. Second, significant differences in the unmarried workers' intention of marriage were revealed based on gender, age, level of education, total assets, and debt status. Significant associations were also found with parents' economic levels and the possibility of parental support for housing and marriage expenses. The differences in response based on employment patterns, job satisfaction, and family-friendly organizational culture were also significant. The correlation between policy variables and marriage intentions also showed the necessity of a funded housing policy and a marriage preparation policy. Third, based on the hierarchical regression analysis using personal, parental, and workplace variables to identify the factors affecting unmarried workers' willingness to marry, it is clear that gender, age, and the likelihood of parental support for housing and marriage expenses have a significant impact. A family-friendly organizational culture and funded housing policy were also significant contributors. Conclusion : The study found that the funded housing policy was the most important factor affecting unmarried office workers' willingness to marry. Additionally, the possibility of parental support for housing and marriage expenses and a family-friendly organizational culture at work were found to have an important impact on the improvement of unmarried workers' willingness to marry.

The purpose of this study is to identify poorly understood factors related to the recent rapid decline in fertility in Korean society. Along with Becker's child demand theory, personal psychological traits, such as independence, nurturance, and affiliation, were given special attention in this study. We examine the processes of resource transfers between married women and their parents on childbearing intention in order to verify the effects of both factors. Five hundred and seventy-six women in their early stage of marriage from the 2009 wave of the National Survey of Marriage and Childbirth were analyzed. Main results of the study are as follows. First, Becker's child demand theory is not supported. Instead, the women who were not given economic support from their parents in getting a residence at the time of their wedding turned out to be more willing to have a child, potentially because they were more independent. Second, the women who provided caretaking and emotional support to their parents had higher childbearing intentions, potentially because they were more nurturing. In conclusion, these personal psychological variables are important in understanding the childbearing behavior of women. We suggest that the government should pay more attention to the micro-personal factors raised in this study when executing policies to reverse the current trend of low fertility.
This study is thing about marital adjustment of marriage migration females. This research inspected relational and influential factors that has consequences for the marital adjustment. The subjects of research are 172 marriage migration females lived in Busan. Data were analyzed by MANOVA, Multiple Regression. The results are following: First, this study found that marriage migration female's marital satisfaction are significantly influenced by spousal support, family stress, level of communication. And marriage migration female's divorce intention are significantly influenced by children number, family stress. And marriage migration female's couple loving are influenced by length of marriage, spousal support, level of communication. Second, family stress is the most powerful factor to predict marital adjustment. Therefore the lower family stress is the better marital adjustment. And through this study I found that marital adjustment is more important family stress than acculturative stress.
Patterns and changes of marriage have drawn much attention as they have been pointed out a key factor of low fertility. Nonetheless, systematic studies on marriage have been quite limited. This study, using recent nationwide survey on marriage and fertility, attempts to explain whether and how intention of marriage would differ between never married men and never married women. The logit regression analysis reveals that the likelihood of planning marriage between both sexes are still different even after controlling demographic characteristics, economic status, household and family background, and attitudes toward sex and premarital cohabitation. Furthermore, important factors affecting the likelihood of planning marriage turns out to be different between men and women. For instance, men with a job is more likely than men without a job to plan marriage. However, for women, the effect of having a job is not found. Such result, with other sex differential effects of living arrangement and attitudinal variable, suggests that the mechanism through which men and women transit from singlehood to marriage would differ. More attention on gender differential should be paid in developing conceptual arguments and conducting empirical analysis regarding marriage and its related topics.
Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dental hygienists' job satisfaction on turnover intention and intention to stay. Methods: A survey was conducted targeting 273 dental hygienists in dental clinics. The study data were u analyzed using PASW Statistics 20.0 Results: The level of job satisfaction of dental hygienists was 3.30±0.50, and the highest ranked item in the survey was 'I am satisfied with my relationships with patients' 3.72±0.73. Job satisfaction according to general characteristics showed significant differences in age, marriage, education, career, current work experience, position, and schedule for future turnover. The turnover intention according to general characteristics showed significant difference in age and schedule for future turnover. The intention to stay according to general characteristics showed significant differences in age, marriage, education, career, current work experience, number of dentists, number of dental hygienists, and schedule for future turnover. The factors affecting turnover intention were schedule for future turnover, income, co-worker relation and professional time, while those affecting intention to stay were overall professional satisfaction, co-worker relation, schedule for future turnover, professional time, income, number of dental hygienists, patient relations and current work experience. Conclusions: Job satisfaction factors that had a common effect on turnover intention and intention to stay were schedule for future turnover, income, co-worker relation and professional time. To reduce turnover and encourage longevity, adequate pay and positive interpersonal relationships are necessary.
The purpose of this study was to examine the change of couple relationship factors predicting marital satisfaction and divorce intention over time tv comparing the couples' first year with their present year of marriage. The couple relationship factors consisted of affection, ambivalence, affectional expression, the expression of negativity. The study subjects 355 married women having preschool children aged 7 years old and elementary school students in the 6th grade. Data were analyzed by SPSSWIN with the method of MANOVA. The results of this study showed that couples in happy groups without divorce intention became less affectionate and demonstrated less affectional expression, and more ambivalence and expression of negativity over time. However, the amount of change was not as large as that of the unhappy groups. The findings of this research indicated that the decline of affection and affectional expression and the increase of ambivalence and expression of negativity were probably, as normative, a natural consequence of the transition from the first year of marriage to a more mature relationship. Therefore, the change over time was not important. However, the amount and aspects of change were the main points which researchers and practitioners should pal attention to in the future.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of the VDSPA(Vulnerability to the Different Sex's Physical Attraction) on IOM(the intention of open marriages), the mediating effect of the SAEMR(Self Acceptance of Extra-Marital Relationship) and the moderating effect of gender. This is an empirical research based on data analysis obtained by surveying 655. The notable findings are as follow: First, respondents' perceptions of their own extramarital affairs(M=2.284) and open marriages(M=2.175) are generally negative, but women were more negative than men. Second, both men and women were vulnerable to the physical attraction of the opposite sex(M=3.569), especially men than women. Third, the more vulnerable to the physical attraction of the opposite sex, the more receptive to their own infidelity. The more receptive to their own extramarital affair, the more clear their intention to open marriage. Lastly, in the case of women, it is confirmed that the vulnerability of the physical attraction of the opposite sex has a significant effect on the intention of an open marriage, with the acceptability of the one's own infidelity as a mediator. In the case of men, there is no mediating effect of accepting their own extramarital affairs, which proved to be a moderating effect by gender. Unlike men, in the case of women, it is concluded that 'accepting their own extramaritality is a critical factor that directly or indirectly has a significant effects on their intention to open marriage.
