Survey of 500 patients who received surgeries in 3 eye clinics in Busan area was conducted through self-administered questionnaires, and, with this data, path analysis was performed to estimate the study model. Main result showed that, among 7Ps, product, price, promotion, people and physical evidence had significant positive effect on customer satisfaction which, in turn, had significant positive effect on trust and relationship commitment. Also, it was found that trust positively affected relationship commitment. This result would be considered helpful in medical institution's efforts to establish trust on customer satisfaction and maintain relationship commitment. It also implies that, in order to enhance competitiveness in increasingly competitive medical market, establishment of proper marketing strategy is urgently required where the determinants of customer satisfaction are effectively administered and ultimate relationship commitment of customers based on trust can be maintained and enhanced.

  • The Marketing strategy is basic to the marketing plan for a firm. It encompasses the art and science of employing the means for achieving established marketing goals. The use of the word "strategy" in reference to the performance of marketing operations has been accepted in general usage during the last twenty years by both business practitioners and educators. It has been borrowed from the military vocabulary where it refers to the art and science of employing the armed strength of a belligerent force to secure the objectives of war. A marketing strategy consists of two distinct and yet interrelated parts: 1. A target market ${\cdots}{\cdots}$a fairly homogeneous group of customers to whom a company wishes to appeal. 2. A marketing mix ${\cdots}{\cdots}$ the controllable variables which the company combines to satisfy this target group.get group.

  • This study thus set out to empirically analyze connections between the success factors of marketing and management performance in the silver industry. For that purpose, the investigator analyzed relations between independent variables, which include such success factors of marketing as market segmentation, product mix, customer relational management, brand asset, price strategy, and marketing information system, and dependent ones, which include financial and non-financial management performance. Those results partially support the hypothesis that the six success factors of marketing set in the study have effects on financial and non-financial management performance in the silver industry. Customer relational management had the biggest influence, being followed by brand asset and price strategy in the order. Those results indicate that companies need to consider customer relational management, brand asset, and price strategy before other success factors of marketing to achieve financial and non-financial management performance in the silver industry.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically ascertain how the fitness between marketing strategy each firm chooses and environment facing each firm affects the performance of firms measured by the growth rate of market share and the growth rate of profit/sales ratio. In doing so, firms are divided into three groups. With regard to the marketing strategy, firms are classified into three groups based on marketing strategy type; prospector, analyzer, and defender. The main result of this study are as follows: First, responding firms are classified into prospector, analyzer, and defender following Miles & Snow's marketing strategy types. This classification is made using a self typing method and further confirmed by a factor analysis using a number of variables relating marketing objectives and marketing mix. Second, the results show that there are significant differences across marketing strategies in the performance measures of the growth rate of market share and profit/sales ratio. It seems, however, that there is no straight forward relationship between the marketing strategy and the performance measures. This strongly implies that the type of marketing strategy to be adopted by each firm should depend on the environment facing each firm. Third, the result indicates that the growth rate of market share tends to depend only on the marketing strategy type regardless of sufficiency and variation of environment, but profit/sales ratio tends to depend on the fitness between marketing strategy type and environment. It implies that a firm should adopt different marketing strategies for different environment characteristics, in order to enhance the efficiency of resources used reflected in the profit/sales ratio.
