  • Financial markets are operating 24 hours a day throughout the world and interrelated in increasingly complex ways. Telecommunications and computer networks tie together markets in the from of electronic entities. Financial practitioners are inundated with an ever larger stream of data, produced by the rise of sophisticated database technologies, on the rising number of market instruments. As conventional analytic techniques reach their limit in recognizing data patterns, financial firms and institutions find neural network techniques to solve this complex task. Neural networks have found an important niche in financial a, pp.ications. We a, pp.y neural networks to Standard and Poor's (S&P) 500 stock index futures trading to predict the futures marker behavior. The results through experiments with a commercial neural, network software do su, pp.rt future use of neural networks in S&P 500 stock index futures trading.

  • In this study, the author introduces a supply-chain management (SCM) solution that connects suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and other companies within a transactional relationship to enable efficient inventory management and timely product supply, which ultimately maximizes corporate profits. This proposed solution exploits Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), which provide solutions to complex management issues generated by the broader market. The goal of the current study was to develop an advanced and intelligent smart SCM solution that complies with logistics standards, to enhance the visibility, safety, and efficiency of a supply chain made up of manufacturers and suppliers. This smart SCM solution aims at maximizing corporate profits through efficient inventory management and timely supply of products, and solves the complex management problems caused by operating within a wide range of markets.

  • The market of rice transplanter has already been changed for riding and to be turned large size of chassis. Because an automation is rapidly expanded, It is strongly need to analyze a mechanism and develop a hydraulic circuit. In this study, we analyzed the mechanism of working equipment of rice transplanter for riding and developed hydraulic circuits. We proposed the operating mechanism of rice transplanter for riding through the mechanistic analysis of working equipment. And the simulation and experiment were performed. In order to up and down the working equipment of rice transplanter for riding, we designed the mechanism which was installed hydraulic circuit and hydraulic cylinder, and it was manufactured. The pressure of developed hydraulic circuit was set by 800 $N/cm^2$. In the field testing, the hydraulic response presented at 50 msec in the maximum driving velocity, 0.8 m/sec of rice transplanter for riding, and it was well performed. The results of experiments showed the system characteristics sufficient to use as the hydraulic mechanism for a rice transplanter for riding.

외항해운산업의 비용함수 추정 : 규모 및 밀도의 경제성 분석을 중심으로 (Estimates of Economies of Scale and Economies of Density in the Ocean Shipping Industry)

  • The long-existed licence system which has acted as one of the strong barriers to entry in the ocean shipping market in Korea is supposed to repeal in the near future. As a result, competition among the different sizes of firms which are operating under regional shield by means of the licence will be intensified. The main objective of this paper is to estimate the degree of economies of scale and economies of density for various firm sizes. For the successful estimation of economies scale and economies of density, translog cost models are developed and estimated through SURE technique which was suggested by Zeller (1963). The major findings are as follows ; All shipping firms in the sample exhibit economies of scale and density. Even small size shipping firms under licence system, they show substantial economies of scale contrary to the wide-known idea that small-size firms are subject to diseconomies of scale. For the ranked firm sizes according to owned deadweight tons, the degree of economies of scale decreases as the firm sizes are larger and larger. The degree of economies of density moderately declines from the smallest to the firm size of 30-60 thousand deadweight tons and sharply rise thereafter. And the large shipping firms with over half-million deadweight tons exhibit high economies density compared to other sizes of firm. If follows that the larger firms have great advantage in competition if the licence system is abolished.

Ice Collision Analyses for Membrane Tank Type LNG Carrier

  • As arctic energy resource is attracting public attention, arctic shipping market will also be growing in large as expected to increase in LNG trade from Arctic area to the western countries by shipping. During the voyages through such routes, collision with icebergs may be possible. In the present report, ice collision analyses are carried out from a practical point of view to verify the safety of hull structural strength of LNG carriers equipped with GTT $MKIII^{TM}$ membrane type cargo containment system. From the results of collision analyses and the operation-friendly design concept of no-repairing of cargo containment system, a safe operating envelope against ice collision is proposed for LNG carriers of membrane type cargo containment system. Based on the currently proposed safety criteria, it is concluded that LNG carriers with membrane tank type can operate safely with regard to the integrity of CCS in regions where collision between LNG carrier and iceberg is expected.

안드로이드 운영체제 상에서 실시간 통신 방법 (Method of Real-time Communication in Android OS)

  • 안드로이드 운영체제는 스마트폰 시장과 함께 빠르게 자리잡으며 네비게이션, 냉장고 패널 등 다양하게 적용하고 있다. 기존 단말은 정확한 수행 시간이 요구되는 RTOS를 사용하면서 높은 정밀도를 요구하는 서비스의 구현이 가능했으나, 안드로이드는 높은 정밀도의 실시간 성능을 제공할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 운영체제에서 동작하는 실시간 통신 방법을 제안한다. 실시간 통신은 UDP 프로토콜을 이용하여 부하를 줄이고, 커널 영역에 고정밀 타이머를 통해서 실시간 운영체제의 타임 틱을 구성한다. 안드로이드 응용 레벨의 라이브러리를 작성하여 실시간 통신을 구현하고 실시간 성능 검증을 위해 기존 안드로이드의 라이브러리와 비교하였다.

  • In January 2005, the BTL private investment project was introduced in the Korean construction market as part of the plan to provide high-quality public service and expand the required facilities in a timely manner. Nonetheless, problems such as the low earning rate at the beginning of the business, burden of service compared to the cost of the proposed business, and limitations of the local small and medium-sized companies in relation to their participation in the project arose. The LCC analysis system for the BTL projects was developed as part of efforts toward efficiently investigating the investment eligibility. Specifically, methods for LCC analysis were selected for each stage of the BTL project in relation to the requests of experts for military residential facilities and public educational facilities. Variables were then extracted to derive an accurate analysis value, LCC for the 5 cost items (initial investment cost, operating expenses, maintenance expenses, energy cost, and disposal cost), analyzed, and system enabling comparative analysis for single and multiple initiatives by year and item, developed. Thus, we have to clearly require the accumulation of data to examine the appropriateness of the results of LCC analysis based on data and results.

운영체제 플랫폼 특성이 네트워크 효과와 운영체제 사용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Operating Systems Platform Characteristics on the Network Effect and Intention to Use Operating Systems)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트폰 시장을 기업생태계 관점으로 바라보고 운영체제 플랫폼의 핵심 성공요인을 도출하고자한다. 그리고 제시한 요인들이 사용자수 증가에 따른 효용의 증가와 사용의도에 직접적으로 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 운영체제 플랫폼의 주요 특성을 OS 호환성, OS향상가능성으로 제시하고, 사용자수에 따른 효용증가를 나타내는 네트워크 효과와 사용의도 간의 논리적 인과관계 설정하고 실증 분석했다. 연구결과, 운영체제의 OS호환성과 OS향상가능성은 네트워크 효과와 사용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 그동안 실증연구가 되지 않았던 운영체제 플랫폼 특성을 제시하고, 스마트폰 시장의 기업생태계 구축에 있어 플랫폼 특성이 어떤 역할을 했는지 논리적인 인과관계를 제시하여 학문적으로 뿐만 아니라 실무적으로도 크게 기여했다고 판단된다.

무인항공기 비행시험 전용 제한구역 설정에 관한 연구 (Research about Designation of Restricted Area Dedicated for Remote Piloted Aircraft Flight Test)

  • Global market of unmanned aircraft(UA) is rapidly expending based on the versatile and efficient utility of the UA. Domestically many industries, universities and research institutes are trying to do research and development of the UA in various angle of aspect. In spite of these effort, all the participants of research and development of the UA has been suffering the difficulty of acquiring the airspace around vicinity of Goheung airfield for the flight test of UA. Although the current procedure of execution of the flight test of UA is set after acquiring the airspace by applying the NOTAM(Notice To Air Man) to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(MLIT) at least 7 days before the flight test and commencing with the publication of the NOTAM by MLIT, if the flight test is carried out as planned, changing or reapplying the NOTAM expends mort time and makes difficulty often. Therefore it is needed that a restricted airspace for the flight test of UA is established and make all the executioner of flight test uses the exclusive airspace without limitation. This research proposes the restricted airspace with short term and long term establish requirement of airspace separately. The short term requirement has been established with the airspace of 10 nm radius and 8,000 ft altitude in which the requirements of flight test can be carried out more than 90% without needs of supplement of the additional airspace. The long term has been established within the airspace of 30 nm radius which is the maximum Radio Line Of Sight(RLOS) and 8,000 ft altitude with exclusion of current air way, airport control area, approaching corridor to the airport, existing restricted area(RA) and Military Operating Area(MOA) for the purpose of minimizing inconvenience of the other airspace user. Once establishing the exclusive airspace for the flight test of UA, research and development of industries, universities and research institutes will be more vigorous and contributes to the national economy.

u-Hospital 환경에서의 수술실 환자 위치추적 시스템 설계 (Design of Operating room Patients Location System for u-Hospital)

  • RFID는 병원에서 많은 비용을 절감하고 환자의 안전을 재고하여 양질의 의료 서비스를 제공케 하는데 큰 잠재력을 가지고 있는 것으로 평가받고 있다. 유비쿼터스 기술이 의료시장 개방의 환경 속에서 국내 의료기관들은 치열한 서비스 경쟁을 펼치고 있고, IT 비용을 절감하여 의료 활동에 역량을 집중하고자 병원만의 경쟁력을 드높일 수단으로 첨단 IT 기술을 활용한 u-Hospital 구축의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 활용하여 수술환자의 위치 추적 시스템을 설계하여, 환자의 안전성 확보 및 의료 서비스의 질을 높이는 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 병원정보시스템 연동을 통한 RFID 기반의 u-Hospital 시스템을 설계하는 것을 목표로 한다.
