  • The purposes of this study were to identify the attitudes toward of market goods characteristics and to investigate the relationships between attitudes toward market goods characteristics and the level of market goods substitution of housework. For empirical analysis, the data of the study was collected from 572 married women living in Seoul. A questionnaire was used as a survey method. Data was analysed using SPSS/WIN8. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1) Wives had negative attitudes toward quality characteristics in the domain of food, but positive attitudes in the domain of clothes. They had positive attitudes toward time/labor saving characteristic, especially ready-made side dishes and dining-out, whereas negative attitudes toward money saving characteristic in the domain of food and clothes. 2) The level of market goods substitution of housework was influenced by the attitudes toward market goods characteristics.

  • This study primarily focused on the opportunity realization process of a korean venture firm based on university. This research examined the relationship between entrepreneurial intent and organizational learning produced in a sustainable opportunity realization process with technology/market domain shifts. Therefore, this research explores the determinants of sustainable growth of a venture firm at the organizational level and suggests optimal solutions for promoting entrepreneurial intent and opportunity realization for many entrepreneurs. The results showed that CEO's entrepreneurial intent is a key driving factor that can positive impacts on opportunity recognition and organizational learning based on university's expertise. Furthermore, the orientation of a entrepreneur can affect venture's technology/market domain shift through the advanced technological knowledge of university. In conclusion, this research sheds light on the growth of a venture firm based on university suggesting more customized solutions for many entrepreneurs. Implications for the results and the future directions are discussed.

  • Artificial Intelligence literatures have recognized that stock market is a highly unstructured and complex domain so that it is difficult to find knowledge that belongs to that domain. This paper demonstrates that the proposed QCOM can derive global knowledge about stock market on the basis of a set of local knowledge and express it as a digraph representation. In addition, inference mechanism using quantitative causal reasoning can describe the qualitative and quantitative effects of exogenous variables on stock market.

  • Innovative capacities and performance are essential for the growth of the IT industry and the development of the Korean economy. Global R&D centers are important sources of innovation in the IT industry. In order to identify the structure of the innovation environment of global R&D centers in IT industry, we conducted a field survey of 50 global R&D centers and 50 global R&D policy experts in IT industry. According to the empirical results obtained using the Linear Structure Model, it is suggested that, first, with regard to a short-term IT global policy, the direction of the Korean government's policy should act as a trigger to connect the research domain and the market domain; second, the government policy should act as a facilitator to connect the development domain and the research domain in the mid-term period; and, finally, the government's R&D policy should serve as a disseminator to connect technological capability and the market space domain in the long-term perspective. For an effective way of internationalizing innovation, IT policy planners should regard global IT R&D centers as the important components of national innovation system and encourage the effective involvements by them in the process of IT industrial innovation.

  • We explore technology ecosystem of smart surgical medical system by analyzing patent data applied for in Korea and Japan. First, a review of trends of patent application by country/technological domain show that there exist a minority of technology domains focused on R&D, which represent their trends have been increasingly active. Also, while a number of Japanese firms mainly consist of the patent market of Japan, in case of the Korean market, a few universities, SMEs, and foreign firms are found to be the main applicants. As a result of the network analysis with the links as the relations of co-patenting, the relationships, which are active of convergence and knowledge spillover among the heterogeneous technology domains within each market, as well as the technology domains, which are the most active in international cooperation among each homogeneous domain, could get derived and visualized in the ecosystem. In addition, the technology domains in each patent market with leading locations, roles, and influence in the network can also be identified through the centrality analysis. In this study, the analysis for technology competitiveness are carried out focusing on patent activity and patent impact. The results denote that across all domains, the Japanese market may possess higher patent activity and patent impact compared to the Korean market. In consequence, we derive the position map for comparison by country and technology domain from a perspective considering comprehensively the multi-dimensional attributes based on the results of both network analysis and technology competitiveness.

  • An index fund is a collective investment scheme that aims to replicate the movements of an index of a specific financial market regardless of market conditions. An index fund is a popular investment alternative because it is much cheaper to run than an active fund and it performs better than actively managed funds. This paper illustrates the usefulness of wavelet analysis in constructing an index fund. The wavelet analysis can decompose the time series data in frequency domain as well as in time domain. The major findings of this paper are as follows. First, the beta coefficient that represents the systematic risk has the scale dependent property. This result can provide important information to the investors with various investment time frequency. Investors can use the betas corresponding to their investment frequencies among the various scale betas estimated by wavelet analysis. Second, we can find the usefulness of wavelet analysis in constructing index fund because the wavelet technique gives less tracking error(difference between the index performance and the index fund performance) than the traditional constructing techniques. The result of this study implies that the wavelet techniques can be an important analytic method to the other financial markets such as option market, futures market, bond markets and currency market.

  • In this paper, a market share competition model for two firms with asymmetric conditions is considered with. In the model, the asymmetry between two firms is given by the difference of market shares In the existing market and the change of market share is supposed to be occurred only through pioneering a new market. Since the timing decision of market pioneering is based on the continuous time domain, a super game structure which has infinitely many numbers of subgames is employed for the modeling. In the course of equilibrium finding, we show that there exists no subgame-perfect pure strategy equilibrium In this game. So, we apply a mixed strategy concept and find a unique subgame-perfect equilibrium behavior strategy. As a result of equilibrium analysis, we know that the relative sizes of pioneering Incentives between two firms are varying with parameter conditions. However, the global speed of market pioneering is proven to be independent with the level of asymmetry between two firms.

  • To enhance the productivity of software development and accelerate time to market, software developers have recently paid more attention to a component-based development (CBD) approach due to the benefits of component reuse. Among CBD processes, the identification of reusable components is a key but difficult process. Currently, component identification depends mainly on the intuition and experience of domain experts. In addition, there are few systematic methods or tools for component identification that enable domain experts to identify reusable components. This paper presents a systematic method and its tool called a component identifier that identifies software components by using object-oriented domain information, namely, use case models, domain object models, and sequence diagrams. To illustrate our method, we use the component identifier to identify candidates of reusable components from the object-oriented domain models of a banking system. The component identifier enables domain experts to easily identify reusable components by assisting and automating identification processes in an earlier development phase.

  • The purposes of this study were to 1) clarify the determinants on socialization of housework and 2) illuminate the determinants on it according to the domain of housework. Research methods was literature review. Major findings were as follows ; 1) the determinants on socialization of housework were devided two categories. One was the characteristics of market goods and service and the other was the characteristics of homemaker. 2) The determinants on socialization of housework were different according to the domain of housework. Through these findings it is possible to know how housework is implemented according to the domain and predict the household living of future.

  • The software market has diversified service needs due to the expansion of the mobile market. To this end, the company intends to produce various apps by extending to the design domain based on the structured architectural assets of the domain market. In this study, we propose an evaluation model that can evaluate the efficiency for servicing assets that reflect the domain characteristics of architecture based on cloud. Based on the characteristics of ISO/IEC 25010 quality model of SQuaRE Series, a software evaluation standard, evaluation model sub-features for evaluating the efficiency of cloud-based asset data were constructed. When the architectural assets were designed as composite assets, they were designed to provide the flexibility of the evaluation model by applying the mandatory and optional evaluation elements of the sub-features that weighted the evaluation items according to the characteristics of the design domain.
