Increasing accuracy of broiler diet formulation based on amino acid digestibility in comparison to application of total amino acids could lead to more feed efficiency and productivity. This experiment was conducted for determination of sampling site (excreta and ileum) and recognition of the effects of a commercial enzyme ($Grind^{(R)}$ Danisco, Finland) on metabolizable energy, protein and amino acid digestibility of barley. This study was modulated by a marker in 21-day old Arbor Acres chickens. Corn-soybean meal was used as a control diet and, in the other two treatments, barley (at a level of 40%) with and without enzyme as the test ingredient were supplemented to the basal diet. Chromic oxide was included in all diets (0.5%) as an indigestible marker. Apparent metabolizable energy (AME), corrected by nitrogen (AMEn) and apparent digestibility of aspartic acid, glutamic acid, serine, glycine, alanine, tyrosine, valine and methionine were significantly (p<0.05) higher in feces than ileum. Protein digestibility of diet and barley was significantly (p<0.05) higher in the ileum than in feces. Apparent digestibility of tryptophan, proline, methionine, phenylalanine and lysine was increased significantly (p<0.05) by enzyme supplementation. In contrast, no response was observed in AME, AMEn, and protein digestibility of the diet and barley by enzyme supplementation. The results of this study have shown that AME and amino acid digestibility were increased in feces, in contrast an adverse effect was observed for protein digestibility of the diet and barley.

AR(Augmented Reality) needs medium between real and virtual, world, and recognition techniques are necessary to track an object continuously. Optical tracking using marker is mainly used, but it takes time and is inconvenient to attach marker onto the target objects. Therefore, many researchers try to develop markerless tracking techniques nowaday. In this paper, we extract features and 3D position from 3D objects and suggest realtime tracking based on these features and positions, which do not use just coplanar features and 2D position. We extract features using SURF, get rotation matrix and translation vector of 3D object using POSIT with these features and track the object in real time. If the extracted features are nor enough and it fail to track the object, then new features are extracted and re-matched to recover the tracking. Also, we get rotation in matrix and translation vector of 3D object using POSIT and track the object in real time.
The augmented reality(AR) technology enables to acquire various image information at the same time by combining virtual image information with the user's viewpoint. These AR technologies have been used to visualize patients' organs and tissues during surgery and diagnosis in the fields of Image-Guide Operation, Surgical Training, and Image Diagnosis by medical convergence, and provides the most effective surgical methods. In this paper, we study the technical features and application methods of each element technology for medical fusion of AR technology. In the AR technology for medical convergence, display, marker recognition and image synthesis interface technology is essential for efficient medical image. Such AR technology is considered to be a way to drastically improve current medical technology in the fields of image guide surgery, surgical education, and imaging diagnosis.

A simple and accurate whole body rehabilitation interaction technology using immersive digital content is needed for elderly patients with steadily increasing age-related diseases. In this study, we introduce whole-body interaction technology using HoloLens and Kinect for this purpose. To achieve this, we propose three coordinate transformation methods: mesh feature point-based transformation, AR marker-based transformation, and body recognition-based transformation. The mesh feature point-based transformation aligns the coordinate system by designating three feature points on the spatial mesh and using a transform matrix. This method requires manual work and has lower usability, but has relatively high accuracy of 8.5mm. The AR marker-based method uses AR and QR markers recognized by HoloLens and Kinect simultaneously to achieve a compliant accuracy of 11.2mm. The body recognition-based transformation aligns the coordinate system by using the position of the head or HMD recognized by both devices and the position of both hands or controllers. This method has lower accuracy, but does not require additional tools or manual work, making it more user-friendly. Additionally, we reduced the error by more than 10% using RANSAC as a post-processing technique. These three methods can be selectively applied depending on the usability and accuracy required for the content. In this study, we validated this technology by applying it to the "Thunder Punch" and rehabilitation therapy content.
Amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP) technique is based on the polymorphism detection through selective PCR amplification of restriction fragments from digested genomic DNA and thus includes the procedures of the total DNA digestion by endonucleases, ligation of adapters to the ends of the fragments, and following the selective amplification of the restricted DNA fragments. This study were aimed to : (1) determine the genetic variability of S aureus strains, (2) estimate genetic diversity within and among these strains, (3) compare phylogenetic relationships among these strains as genetic markers using AFLP techniques. Genomic DNA was digested with a particular combination of three restriction enzymes with specific recognition sites and the DNA fragments were ligated to restriction specific adapters and amplified using the selective primer combinations. In the S aureus strain, the number of scorable AFLP bands detected per each primer combination varied from 29 to 102, with an average of 61.59 using 27 primer combinations. A total of 1,663 markers were generated, 904 bands of which were polymorphic, showing a 33.48% level of polymorphism with these primer combinations. Among the primer combinations, E02/T02, E02/T03, E04/H02, E02/T01 and E04/H03 primer combinations showed a high level of polymorphism with 0.78, 0.76, 0.74, 0.71 and 0.70, respectively. But T03/H01, E01/T02 and E01/T03 primer combinations showed a low level of polymorphism with 0.38, 0.37 and 0.15, respectively, Therefore, the former primer combinations will be the most effective for AFLP analysis of S aureus. In SA1 sub-types the level of polymorphism of S aureus KCTC 1927 was similar to that of S aureus CU 01(0.825) and higher than those of other strains such as S aureus CU 02 (0.715), S aureus KCTC 2199(0.625), S aureus KCTC 1916(0.607) and S aureus KCTC 1621 (0.553). In SA2 sub-types the level of polymorphism of S aureus CU 07 was similar to that of S aureus CU 08(0.935) and higher than those of both S aureus CU 04(0.883) and S aureus CU 05(0.883) and lower than those of S aureus CU 03(0.583). In SA3 subtypes the level of polymorphism of S aureus CU 11 was similar to that of S aureus CU 12(0.913) and lower than that of S aureus CU 15(0.623). The results proved that AFLP marker analysis of S aureus strain could be used to study the epidemiology of mastitis and in addition, common genotype in geographic region could be useful for the development of an effective vaccine or DNA marker for easy diagnosis of mastitis caused by S aureus infection.

In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm, Concentric-Circle Tracing algorithm, which recognizes finger's shape and counts the number of fingers of hand using low-cost web-camera. We improve algorithm's usability by using low-price web-camera and also enhance user's comfortability by not using a additional marker or sensor. As well as counting the number of fingers, it is possible to extract finger's shape information whether finger is straight or folded, efficiently. The experimental result shows that the finger gesture can be recognized with an average accuracy of 95.48%. It is confirmed that the hand-gesture is an useful method for HCI input and remote control command.
Polymorphism of the lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene which plays an important role in regulation of lipid deposition was analysed in two red seabream (pagrus major) populations (KF4, cultured KORDI line, n=100 : JPN, imported from Japan, n=100). We amplified a DNA fragment (1,091 bp) including the exon 2 region of the LPL gene, and conducted PCR-RFLP analysis using MspI and AluI. The PCR products were also sequenced. Two alleles (A and B) were found in MspI digestion and Sve alleles (A, B, C, D and E) in AluI digestion. The sequenced data revealed four nucleotide substitutions including one transversion at the MspI recognition site (nt 2,235, $C{\rightarrow}10$) and three transitions at the AluI recognition sites (nt 1,721, $A{\rightarrow}G;$ nt 2,319, $C{\rightarrow}T;$ nt 2,319, $T{\rightarrow}C$). Among them, substitutions at the nt 2,235 and 2,319 sites which are located in the exon 2 were proved to be silent point mutations. MspI polymorphism resulted in 3 genotypes, and the allele frequency was significantly different between the two fish populations, KF4 and JPN. In the case of AluI polymorphism, the 5 alleles (A, B, C, D, E) comprised 12 genotypes of the 5 alleles. KF4 population, alleles D and I were specific to the LPL gene Polymorphisms would be useful DNA markers for red seabream population.
Facilitates chromatin transcription (FACT) is a chromatin-specific elongation factor required for transcription of chromatin templates in vivo and in vitro. FACT consists of human homologue of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae Spt16/Cdc68 protein (hSpt16) and the high mobility group-1-like protein structure-specific recognition protein-1 (SSRP-1). Here we show that the protein level of hSpt16 is massively down-regulated in quiescent T98C cells using both immunofluorescence and western blot analysis. In contrast, we observe high level of the hspt16 expression in the proliferative T98G cells. Interestingly, the expression of SSRP-1 is not altered in both quiescent and proliferative states. Taken together, our findings implicate that the expression of hSpt16 is associated with the proliferative state and can be used as a proliferation marker.
This paper presents a novel algorithm for nighttime detection of the lane markers painted on a road at night. First of all, the proposed algorithm uses neighborhood average filtering, 8-directional Sobel operator and thresholding segmentation based on OTSU's to handle raw lane images taken from a digital CCD camera. Secondly, combining intensity map and gradient map, we analyze the distribution features of pixels on boundaries of lanes in the nighttime and construct 4 feature sets for these points, which are helpful to supply with sufficient data related to lane boundaries to detect lane markers much more robustly. Then, the searching method in multiple directions- horizontal, vertical and diagonal directions, is conducted to eliminate the noise points on lane boundaries. Adapted Hough transformation is utilized to obtain the feature parameters related to the lane edge. The proposed algorithm can not only significantly improve detection performance for the lane marker, but it requires less computational power. Finally, the algorithm is proved to be reliable and robust in lane detection in a nighttime scenario.

Twenty species of calcareous nannofossils belonging to 11 genera are identified from the Seoguipo Formation in Cheju island, Korea. On the basis of the marker species, the Seoguipo Formation is biostratigraphically assigned to the Pseudoemiliania lacunosa Zone (NNl9), which corresponds to the combined zones of Emiliania annula - Emiliania ovata (CN13a-CN14a) of latest Pliocene and Early Pleistocene. Generally, cold-water species is dominant in the lower part, whereas warm-water one in the upper part. This is interpreted the palaeoceanographic condition has changed from cooling to warm phase. The change in floral composition and abundance of specific species allows the recognition of 4 ecostaratigraphic units in the Seoguipo Formation and the migration of oceanographic frontal boundary. According to nannofossil distribution in the study area, the position of an oceanographic boundary between warmer water and cooler water appeared to have oscillated north-south over the Korea Strait and Cheju island in response to glacial and interglacial cycles. The geologic time of the interpreted paleoceanographical changes determined by nannofossil biochronology is well agreed with the results obtained from the Japan Sea (East Sea) and Japan-Sea side of Japan.
