Several full mission simulators have been installed since about 10 years ago in Korea. The newly established Marine Simulation Training and Research Center at Korea Maritime University has played a key role for education and training of both cadets and in-service officers trainees, and for research on Korea ports such as Jeju international cruise port, Ulsan SBM and Kwangyang container port and many others. This study mainly focuses maritime education and training on the ship handling simulation and the bridge resource management conducted by Korea Maritime University.

주기적인 구조를 갖는 Si (100) 기판을 이용하여 ZnO 박막을 graphoepitaxy 법으로 성장시키기 위한 가능성을 알아 보았다. photolithography에 의해 주기적 구조를 형성시켰으며, ZnO박막은 RF-sputter 법으로 증착하여 시료를 제작 하였다. 제작된 시료는 700$^{\circ}C$${\sim}$900$^{\circ}C$의 수증기 분위기에서 2시간동안 열처리 하여 열처리 온도에 대한 결정성의 변화를 고찰 하였다. 시료의 결정성은 Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), PL(Photoluminescence)를 통해, 표면과 광학적 특성의 변화를 고찰하였다.

The International Maritime Organization has determined that more than 80% of maritime accidents are caused by human error. A variety of methods have been considered to reduce maritime accidents caused by such human error. Navigators operate by observing surrounding maritime situations and analyzing information using various navigational devices. This study proposes a system to ensure safe navigation by assisting navigators through the delivery of maritime safety information (MSI) between land and sea. In the future, supplementing the system through long-term on-the-ship tests is necessary by defining MSI in relation to maritime service portfolio regions.

In this paper, the maritime educational and training systems in different countries were compared and analyzed. The sample countries have been divided into two large groups, one of which comprising the countries adopting European maritime educational system and the other of which consisting of countries adopting American maritime educational system. From the comparison of the two educational systems, the merits and demerits of each system has been analysed. The results of the analyses show that the maritime educational institutes of the countries such as U.S.A., Japan, Korea, Taiwan, which have American maritime educational system, have more adaptability to the rapidly changing, shipping environment. In addition, it has been concluded that the college of the Maritime Science of the Korea Maritime University is required to set up a new educational model which is similar to the of the SUNY Maritime College in the U.S.A to meet the recent changes in Korean shipping industry.

The aims of this study are to analysis the elements associated with a occupational basic competencies of fisheries and maritime high school students. Fisheries & maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 177 fisheries & maritime high school teachers. Data were analyzed to obtain item quality, reliability and validity analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, largely, fisheris & maritime key competencies were divided into two parts; basic vocational skills and fisheries-maritime job skills. Second, fisheries & maritime key competencies were consisted of communicative competence, numeracy skills, thinking skills, English communication skills, self-management skills, interpersonal competency, selection & application of alternative, marine technology & information skills, marine consciousness and maritime professional ethics. Third, each key competency consisted of 2-9 sub-competencies.

국민소득 증가에 따라 고급해산물의 수요가 늘어나고 있으며, 어패류 및 해조류를 포함하는 양식어업은 국내어업에 대한 총수입 중 $50.6\%$를 차지하고 있는 어가의 주 소득원 중의 하나이다. 최근 국내어장에서 불규칙하게 발생하는 어패류 도난사건의 피해액은 매년 건당 수십만에서 수천만원 이상으로 증가하고 있는 설정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 영세어가에 적용할 수 있는 양식어장 보호를 위한 레이더 감시 시스템의 모델을 제안하고, 감사시스템의 구성요소별 소요기술을 분류하고, 구축방안 및 기술개발 내용을 제시하였다. 국외에서 양식어장보호 감시시스템이 개발된 바가 있지만 구축비용이 고가이므로 국내 영세어가에 적용하기에는 어렵다.

여수해만의 교통안전특정해역은 1988년에 설정된 이후 선박 입항 척수 및 톤수가 크게 변하는 등 해상교통환경 급격하게 변화된 것에도 불구하고, 통항분리가 되지 않은 채 흘수제약선의 깊은수심항로만 지정되어 있고 흘수제약선 이외의 통항선박들에 대한 항로체계는 미비한 실정이다. 또한 여수해만 입구의 A, B, C, W 묘박지에서 항로로 진입하는 선박과 조업어선 등의 무질서한 운항으로 통항선박의 안전에 지장을 초래하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 여수해만 특정해역에 대하여 장래의 교통여건까지 고려하여 도출된 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 강구하는 등 해양사고 예방을 위한 종합적인 해상교통체계 설정에 목적이 있다.

목포항 인근해역은 해상교통량이 많고, 해양사고가 빈발하고 있다. 특히, 목포구에서 목포항까지의 수역에는 협수로 형성, 안개 발생 빈번, 항로 폭 협소, 천수 수역 존재, 양식장 어망 과다, 소형 어선, 여객선, 화물선 등에 의한 특정 시간대 항내 교통량이 집중하여 해양사고가 발생하였다. 따라서 목포항만 수역내 해상안전의 위해요소 및 해상교통환경을 파악하고, 그 문제점을 도출하기 위해 목포항 입출항 항로에 대한 해상교통조사를 실시하여 해상교통흐름을 조사$\cdot$분석하여 교통실태를 파악하고, 통항경로대의 해상교통특성을 도출하여 해상교통류 시뮬레이션을 실시하여 환경스트레스를 평가하고자 한다.

여객선 관련 종사자인 여객, 선박직원, 운항관리사, 해양경찰관에 대한 안전 및 보안 의식을 조사하여 분석함으로써 새로운 해상의 위협으로 등장하는 테러, 준테러 등 보안위협을 저감하는 방안을 모색하고 보안문화 정착방안을 제안하였다.

The changed environment on marine security and the security activities such as coast guard and sea patrol in civil domain are analyzed. In order to respond diverse threats and requirements of sea petrol, the system of civil patrolman and coast guard's auxiliary are discussed. The civil boats and aircraft and civilian's security activities make an important role to enhance the effectiveness and the efficiency of coast guard and patrol.
