IoT notification system for marine emergencies

  • Minimization of human casualties in disaster situations is of paramount importance. In particular, if a marine disaster occurs, it can be directly connected to human casualties, so prompt action is needed. In the event of a marine disaster, the route and location of movement should be identified and life tubes should be used to float on the water. This paper designs and proposes an emergency IoT notification system that can quickly rescue drowning people. The maritime emergency IoT notification system consists of four main types. First, an emergency IoT device that detects the expansion of the life tube and delivers location and situation information to the emergency IoT notification server. Second, an emergency IoT web server that manages emergency information and provides notification. Third, a database server that stores and manages emergency IoT notification information. And finally, an emergency notification app that can receive and respond to emergency notification information. The emergency IoT device consists of a TPMS(Tube Pressure Monitoring System) device that checks the pressure value of the TPMS in real time and sends it to the IoT device, and an IoT device that sends the rescuer's voice information and emergency information to the emergency IoT server. Emergency information is delivered using the MQTT(Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol, and voice information is delivered to the IoT server as HTTP FormData.

  • This paper studied the feasibility for utilization of the automatic fishing information recording system, which stores and manages navigational information and fish catch results of a fishing vessel in a portable storing device, in order to help promote the systematic management of fishing information by offshore and coastal fishing vessels. Position accuracy was within 10 meters on the position accuracy experiment using GPS module. Characteristics of navigation according to the navigation, anchoring and fishing operation showed the difference of navigation track information for GPS, and fishing possibility of fishing boat could be estimated through the analysis as the utilization result of system for the large pair trawl and large purse seiners. In particular, it is impossible to provide false positional information by arbitrarily operating the system, and it may be possible to present the factual results of fish catch by date, fishing ground, and fish species by comparing the fishing information with fish catch. Such contents are considered to be useful as basic data for the management of fisheries resources.

  • This study suggests a model of production information system that can reduce manufacturing lead time and uniformize quality by using DNC S/W as a part of constructing production information management system in the industrial field of the existing marine engine block manufacturing companies. Under the effect of development of this system, the NC machine interface device can be installed in the control computer to obtain the quality information of the workpiece in real time so that the time to inspect the process quality and verify the product defect information can be reduced by more than 70%. In addition, the reliability of quality information has been improved and the external credibility has been improved. It took 30 minutes for operator to obtain, analyze and manage the quality information when the existing USB memory is used, but the communication between the NC controller computer and the NC controller in real time was completed to analyze the workpiece within 10 seconds.

  • 세계적으로 해양공간정보의 활용과 관리에 대한 중요성을 극대화하고 있고, 이러한 데이터를 분석하는 것을 연구 개발의 주요 추진 동력으로 부각하고 있다. 국내에서는 과거부터 현재까지 보유하고 있는 해양 데이터를 수집하고 가치를 추출해내는 것이 향후 우리나라의 과학발전에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 특히나 해양 정적 데이터는 거대 빅데이터베이스를 이루고 있으며, 높은 데이터 수집 비용과 고난이도 관측기술이 요구됨에 따라 수집된 데이터의 유실 없는 보관 및 저장이 필요로 하다. 또한 재난안전지능화융합센터의 "해양 디지털 트윈 구축 및 활용기반 기술 연구" 과제를 위해 해양 데이터에 대한 수집 및 분석이 필요로 하여, 이에 본 논문에서는 해양 정적 데이터의 현황 조사를 수행하였고 이를 수집하여 DB에 저장하는 일련의 알고리즘을 제시한다.

물질흐름분석을 활용한 전세계 플라스틱 해양쓰레기의 유입량과 현존량 추정: 예비적 접근 (Estimating the Global Inflow and Stock of Plastic Marine Debris Using Material Flow Analysis: a Preliminary Approach)

  • 전세계 플라스틱 해양쓰레기의 유입량과 현존량을 추정하였다. 한국에서 플라스틱 해양쓰레기의 연간 유입량(72,956톤)은 플라스틱의 연간 소비량(5.2백만톤)의 1.4%로 추정되었다. 유출량이 0이라는 가정과 함께, 이 1.4% 유입률을 1950년부터 2013년까지 전세계 플라스틱 생산량에 적용함으로써, 2013년 전세계 연간 플라스틱 해양쓰레기 유입량은 4.2백만톤이며, 2013년말 현재 플라스틱 해양쓰레기 현존량은 86백만톤으로 추정되었다. 또한 로지스틱 모델에 따라, 석유생산량의 4%가 플라스틱으로 생산될 때 플라스틱 해양쓰레기의 최종 현존량은 199백만톤이 될 것으로 추정되었다. 유입량과 현존량은 전혀 다른 측정단위이기 때문에, 유입 저감 정책의 효과성을 평가할 수 있는 개선된 지표가 필요하다. 또한, 플라스틱 해양쓰레기 오염은 거의 회복불가능하기 때문에, 이를 예방하는 대책의 가치는 훨씬 더 높게 평가되어야 하며, 사전주의의 원칙에 따라 더 강력한 예방 대책이 시행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 제한적인 정보에 근거한 예비 연구에 해당하므로 플라스틱 해양쓰레기의 유입량과 현존량의 경향을 규명하기 위한 추가 연구가 필요하다.

  • In general, the distribution structure of marine products is very vulnerable to the uncertainties in the process from the production to the sale, and a lot of difficulty is thus inevitable in the supply control. Such a distribution structure is a very critical issue in securing the suability of marine products through systematic quality and hygiene control of marine products, and it is thus time to discuss the method to innovate and restructuring the distribution structure of marine products. From this point of view, this study approached the flow from production to consumption in view of SCM(supply chain management) beyond the partial discussion conducted so far for the distribution structure in the field of marine products. Further, this study suggested the establishment of electronic commerce systems with a traceability system built in RFID for marine products as an alternative of redesigning distribution infrastructure in the ubiquitous environment. From the results, we assured that such an electronic commerce system would be a new measure to improve the structure currently causing inefficiency and excessive distribution cost for the distribution structure of marine products.

어촌·어항을 활용한 해양스포츠 체험관광 활성화 방안 (The Promotion of Experiential Marine Sports by Developing aPlan for Fishing Village and Port)

  • The plan of developing a fishing village and port will be indirectly funded by the government. In the short term, there will be five different multi-functional fishing village models which are based on the first industry to attach to the third industry of marine sports experience tourism. In the long run, they have to be reached gradually. The popular scenic spot of the marine sports experience tourism is made by human resources and fundamental installations considering that it must be done in unpolluted water. It is necessary to separate the fish harbor into two sides. One side is an existing fishing industry. The other side is made up of several pontoons for the marine sports equipment of the marine mooring. It is necessary to build facilities, such as the mooring facility, the storage facility, the repair-check facility, supply-cleaning facility, information booth, accommodations, education facility, and a marine culture exchange facility.

수산·해운계 고등학교 직업기초능력 척도의 타당화 (The Validation of Occupational Basic Competencies of Fisheries and Maritime High School)

  • The aims of this study were to validate the Occupational Basic Competencies of Fisheries and Maritime High school. Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 1,113 fisheries & maritime high school students. Data were analyzed to obtain reliability and validity analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, fisheries & maritime key competencies were divided into 6 elements. Second, fisheries & maritime key competencies were consisted of marine vocational ethics, marine information capacity, marine elementary knowlegde, marine safety management skill, management & utilization of marine life and marine consciousness. Third, Cronbach-${\alpha}$ proves that the scale developed in the study is reliable. In consequence, the results of this study help to reconceptualize fisheries & maritime and apply the scale to measure students in high school settings.

  • 유무선 통신기술이 접목된 정보통신 및 제어기술을 이용하는 첨단해양교통시설은 안전한 해양교통 환경을 보장할 수 있는 혁신적인 교통시설이다. 표준화를 기반으로 개발되어진 기술을 통합한 해양교통시설은 항로표지 시스템의 관리와 모니터링 분야에 그 응용기반이 확대되어져 가고 있다. 이러한 해양교통 환경적 변화를 고려하여 해양교통시설에 대한 현황을 파악하고, 해양교통시설 관리시스템 통합의 타당성을 확인하였고, 통합을 구현하기 위한 최적의 방안 및 기존 시스템과의 연계를 통한통합 방안을 제시하였다.
