Accurate mapping of satellite images is one of the most important Parts in many remote sensing applications. Since the position and the attitude of a satellite during image acquisition cannot be determined accurately enough, it is normal to have several hundred meters' ground-mapping errors in the systematically corrected images. The users which require a pixel-level or a sub-pixel level mapping accuracy for high-resolution satellite images must use a number of Ground Control Points (GCPs). In this paper, the performance of two geometric correction algorithms is tested and compared. One is the polynomial warping algorithm which is simple and popular enough to be implemented in most of the commercial satellite image processing software. The other is full camera modelling algorithm using Physical orbit-sensor-Earth geometry which is used in satellite image data receiving, pre-processing and distribution stations. Several criteria were considered for the performance analysis : ultimate correction accuracy, GCP representatibility, number of GCPs required, convergence speed, sensitiveness to inaccurate GCPs, usefulness of the correction results. This paper focuses on the usefulness of the precision correction algorithm for regular image pre-processing operations. This means that not only final correction accuracy but also the number of GCPs and their spatial distribution required for an image correction are important factors. Both correction algorithms were implemented and will be used for the precision correction of KITSAT-3 images.
XPDL is a XML-based language for process definition exchange that is proposed by WfMC. This paper propose a model which model XPDL document structure (Schema) using UML in order to define and to exchange workflow process, and make business flow understanding ease for inter-business cooperation. So, we define mapping rules in which map XPDL documents into UML class diagram and UML activity diagram. By these mapping rules, elements composing XPDL process meta-model are mapped into UML class diagram, and process activities are mapped into UML activity diagram. Also, we apply proposed mapping technique to model a workflow of (')Credit card state check system.(')

In this paper we propose several mapping schemes for streaming video generated by state-of-the-art H.264 codec over IEEE 802.11e enabled wireless LANs. The schemes take advantage of both 802.11e's QoS mechanism and some novel features of the H.264 codec, so as to protect the most important information in terms of visual quality and reduce distortion under network congestion. The proposed methods are evaluated by means of the H.264 reference software codec, network simulation, and objective video quality measurements. Results show that the proposed methods achieve a robust and error resilient H.264 video streaming over wireless LANs than traditional best-effort streaming.
A clinically oriented EEG and EP mapping system was developed with user-friendly interface and easy interactive operations. The system was based on the graphical user interface developed with C/C++ and Software Development Kit (SDK) operated under Microsoft Windows 3.1. Continuous acquisition for the EEG signal and burst mode acquisition for EEG signal syncronized to the external stimuli arc implemented with real time display. A neural network based automatic artifact discrimation is developed and implemented with which examination time can be reduced by a factor of 3 or more. Several bands of spectral maps and spectrums arc displayed for EEG diagnosis. Amplitude maps of EP signal at specified times by operator are displayed together with cine mode of EP maps for dynamic study. Source localization and other statistical signal processing are also included.
Radiation monitoring system is needed at nuclear power plant and nuclear facility. Manual survey techniques are commonly used, but they are time consuming and somewhat inaccurate. Automatic radiation surveys are very important because it provides significant savings in men-rem and wages. Unmanned, remote automatic radiation measurement system should be small and light-weighted in order to mount on robotic system. The system we have developed consists of detection parts, signal processing part, interface, and software part. Position information is provided by using of a collimator. The measurement process is achieved by the scanning of detector and image processing techniques are used to display radiation levels. We designed collimators, detectors, signal processing circuit, and constructed prototype system. The goal of this system is the mapping of camera image and radiation level distribution.

Geophysical data sets from the Chojeong area in the Chungbuk-Do are compositely studied in terms of multi-attribute interpretation for the subsurface mapping of shallow fracture zones, associated with groundwater reservoir. Utilizing a GIS software, the attribute data are implemented to a database; a lineament from the satellite image, electrical resistivities and its standard deviation, radioactivity, seismic velocity, bedrock depth from exploration data. In an attempt to interpret 1-D electrical sounding data in 2-D and 3-D views, 2-D resistivities structures are firstly made by interpolating 1-D plots. Reconstruction of a resistivity volume is found to be an effective scheme for subsurface mapping of shallow fracture zones. Shallow fracture zones in the southeastern part of the study area are commonly correlated in the various exploration data.

A microplasma system source based on microwave parallel stripline resonator (MPSR) was developed for the generation of microplasmas in a wide range of pressure from some torr to 760 torr. This source was operated at its resonance frequency that much depends upon not only its discharge gap size but also operated pressure. This paper applied a simple circuit model to analyze the effects of discharge gap size and pressure to resonance frequency and impedance of MPSR in the cases with and without plasma exist inside the discharge gap. In the process of calculating, the conformal mapping method was used to estimate the capacitance of the MPSR. The calculating results by using circuit model agree well with the simulation results that using commercial CST microwave studio software.
In 600 MWe CANDU-PHW reactors PMCR will be used on-site for calibration of the regional overpower system. PMCR will be executed off-line in one of the station computers. The program calculates accurate channel power maps by incorporating a fuel turnup dependent flux to power conversion algorithm. Fuel turnup is calculated by PMCR, hence it is independent of other software. Extensive comparisons with the uniform flux/power conversion approximations were made. Significant improvements in power mapping accuracy are achieved with PMCR.

This study examine the annoyance of transportation noise exposure and found the survey method about which noise induces more disturbance or annoyance when more than two kinds of noise exist. This study describes the noise annoyance survey performed in the vicinity of Sin-wol interchange. This residential area was exposed to aircraft noise and traffic noise simultaneously and aircraft noise exposure of this area is about 81 WECPNL, traffic noise exposure is about 81.2 dB(A) nearby road. Noise sources are grouped into three part, traffic noise, aircraft noise and community noise. The questionnaire includes how often, how loud each noise is heard. Also this deals with comparative annoyance reaction from specific noise sources such as aircraft or traffic and its disturbance of daily activities. Facade noise mapping are executed by using a commercial noise mapping software.

For the expansion of the Semantic Web, studies in converting the data stored in the relational database into the ontology are actively in process. Such studies mainly use an RDB to RDF mapping model, the model to map relational database components to RDF components. However, pre-proposed mapping models have got different expression modes and these damage the accessibility and reusability of the users. As a consequence, the necessity of the standardized mapping language was raised and the W3C suggested the R2RML as the standard mapping language for the RDB to RDF model. The R2RML has a characteristic that converts only the relational database schema data to RDF. For the same reasons above, the ontology about the relation data between table name and column name of the relational database cannot be added. In this paper, we propose an RDB to RDF mapping system considering semantic relations of RDB components in order to solve the above issue. The proposed system generates the mapping data by adding the RDFS attribute data into the schema data defined by the R2RML in the relational database. This mapping data converts the data stored in the relational database into RDF which includes the RDFS attribute data. In this paper, we implement the proposed system as a Java-based prototype, perform the experiment which converts the data stored in the relational database into RDF for the comparison evaluation purpose and compare the results against D2RQ, RDBToOnto and Morph. The proposed system expresses semantic relations which has richer converted ontology than any other studies and shows the best performance in data conversion time.
