  • The rapid increase in apartments of Korea brought about overall changes in the life style, and definitely played the biggest role to convert into western style. Since 1960, furniture has been changed for 50 years along with apartments, but furniture companies and the academic world had insufficient historical materials and lack of study. In addition, considering the changing trend according to residents' life style, the data of furniture industries should be collected to study every year or in 5 years at least. Therefore, this study aims to provide basic data that gives historical materials or design clues based on recent AV equipment-oriented storage furniture in the living room that prioritized design in public space. Accordingly, the study looked into the periodical trends of Korean furniture industries, analyzed 10 furniture companies in Korea which is actively doing business as the sample and arranged key points of periodical changes of furniture in the table, and suggested the conclusion according to the image map, style, color, material, and function.

  • Sensor used by semiconductor process produced an MAP sensor and applied to several industry. Among those sensors divided as transducer which convert physical quantity into electrical value, piezoresistive type sensor has been studied for the properties and sensitivity of piezoresistor. In this paper, the variation of seismic mass which have been functioned as actuator moving the cantilever beam analyzed the effect on distribution of resistance change ratio and supposed the optimal shape and position of piezoresistor. The resulting are following; According to the increment of seismic mass size, the value of resistance change ratio decreased caused by improve the stiffness. Y directional piezoresistor is formed in spot of 100 m apart from cantilever edge and length of that is 800$\mu$m. To increase the sensitivity, piezoresistor is made as n-type and x-direction.

  • In this paper, a synthesis tool using matrix operations for designing multi-level Reed Muller circuits is described which has been named as MRM (Multi-level Reed Muller Minimizer). The synthesis method which uses matrix operations has advantages in effectively minimizing chip area, delay optimization and fault detection capability. However, it uses only truth-table type maps for inputs, synthesizing only small circuits. To overcome the weakness, our method accepts two-level description of a logic function. Since the number of cubes in the two-level description is small, the input matrix becomes small and large circuits can be synthesized. To convert two-level representations into multi-level ones, different input patterns are extracted to make a map which can be fed to the matrix operation procedure. Experimental results show better performance than previous methods. The matrix operation method presented in this paper is new to the society of Reed Muller circuits synthesis and provides solid mathematical foundations.

  • This paper presents the stereoscopic conversion of flame images. The stereoscopic conversion is a technology that generates left and right images from a monoscopic image. Even though many conversion methods have been introduced and commercialized so far, the processing of flame images is relatively few. Such conventional methods are effectively used either real-time or off-line. However, the application of such schemes to special-effect images such as flame is hard to be applied. The proposed method is designed to convert a flame image into a stereoscopic image. Depth map of flame regions are produced based on the analysis of color models of flames. Experimental results tested on diverse flame image sets validates the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In tropical geometry, the sum of two numbers is defined as the minimum, and the multiplication as the sum. As a way to build tropical plane curves, we could use Newton polygons or amoebas. We study one method to convert the representation of an algebraic variety from an image of a rational map to the zero set of some multivariate polynomials. Mikhalkin proved that complex curves can be replaced by tropical curves, and induced a combination formula which counts the number of tropical curves in complex projective plane. In this paper, we present close examinations of this particular combination formula.

  • Since a display device such as TV or signage is getting larger, the types of media is getting changed into wider view one such as UHD, panoramic and jigsaw-like media. Especially, panoramic and jigsaw-like media is realized by stitching video clips, which are captured by different camera or devices. In order to stich those video clips, it is required to find out 2D Adjacency Matrix, which tells spatial relationships among those video clips. Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), which is used as a compression transform method, can convert the each frame of video source from the spatial domain (2D) into frequency domain. Based on the aforementioned compressed features, 2D adjacency Matrix of images could be found that we can efficiently make the spatial map of the images by using DCT. This paper proposes a new method of generating 2D adjacency matrix by using DCT for producing a panoramic and jigsaw-like media through various individual video clips.

  • This paper introduces an approach to detect motion areas of stationary objects when the camera slightly moves in the scene by computing optical flow. The flow field is computed by two pyramidal architectures of 5 levels which are built by down-sampling the size of the images by half at each level. Two pyramids of images are built and then optical flow is computed at each level. A warping process combines the information and generates a final flow field after applying edge smoothness and outliers reduction steps. Moreover, we convert the flow vectors in order of magnitude and angle to a color map using a pseudo-color palette. Experimental results in the Middlebury optical flow dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our method compared to other approaches.

  • In this paper, An algorithm which converts 2D video frames into 3D video frames of parallel looking stereo camea is proposed. The proposed algorithm finds the disparity information between two consecutive video frames and generates 3D video frames from the obtained disparity maps. The disparity information is obtained from the modified iterative convergence algorithm. The method of generating 3D video frames from the disparity information is also proposed. The proposed algorithm uses coherence method which overcomes the video pattern based algorithms.

  • The Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model is capable of providing high quality atmospheric chemistry profiles through the utilization of high-resolution meteorology and emissions data. However, it cannot simulate air quality accurately if input data are not appropriate and reliable. One of the most important inputs required by CMAQ is the air pollutants emissions, which determines air pollutants concentrations during the simulation. For the CMAQ simulation of Korean peninsula, we, in general, use the Korean National Emission Inventory data which are estimated by Clean Air Policy Support System (CAPSS). However, since they are not provided by model-ready emission data, we should convert CAPSS emissions into model-ready data. The SMOKE is the emission model we used in this study to generate CMAQ-ready emissions. Because processing the emissions data is very monotonous and tedious work, we have developed CAPSS2SMOKE program to convert CAPSS emissions into SMOKE-ready data with ease and effective. CAPSS2SMOKE program consists of many codes and routines such as source classification code, $PM_{10}$ to $PM_{2.5}$ ratio code, map projection conversion routine, spatial allocation routine, and so on. To verify the CAPSS2SMOKE program, we have run SMOKE using the CAPSS 2009 emissions and found that the SMOKE results inherits CAPSS emissions quite well.

  • The objective of this study is to develop a spatial analysis modeling technique to evaluate the functional suitability of forest lands for land slide prevention. The functional suitability is classified into 3 categories of high, medium and low according to the potential of land slide on forest lands. The potential of land slide hazards is estimated using the measurements of 7 major site factors : slope, bed rock, soil depth, shape of slope, forest type and D.B.H. class of trees. The analytic hierarchical process is applied to determining the relative weight of site factors in estimating the potential of land slides. The spatial analysis modeling starts building base layers for the 7 major site factors by $25m{\times}25m$ grid analysis or TIN analysis, reclassifies them and produces new layers containing standardized attribute values, needed in estimating land slide potential. To these attributes, applied is the weight for the corresponding site factor to build the suitability classification map by map algebra analysis. Then, finally, cell-grouping operations convert the suitability classification map to the land unit function map. The whole procedures of the spatial analysis modeling are presented in this paper.
