A Study on the Effect of Applying Accounting Information System to Improve Production Costs (제조원가개선을 위한 회계정보시스템 적용 효과에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of application of accounting information system on the manufacturing cost improvement of domestic small and medium - sized manufacturing companies. For this study, we conducted an empirical study on the accounting officers of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in Korea. According to the results of the study, companies use accounting information system to understand the variation of manufacturing cost much and show positive effect. This study will contribute to improving the manufacturing cost of domestic small and medium - sized manufacturing companies by increasing the efficiency of accounting information system.

  • The manufacturing execution system (MES) for product production handles different production processes according to the product characteristics and different types of data according to the process being considered. For efficiently providing the data pertaining to production equipment to production systems such as the MES, data collection through the equipment interface is required for obtaining the production data pertaining to field equipment. In this paper, a method is proposed for collecting the production data through the equipment interface in order to collect the various types of production-equipment data from the field. The proposed method is applied to a real manufacturing system to verify its efficiency. A more powerful MES can be constructed with a data acquisition system that acquires the status data at the shop-floor level.

  • Disturbance/vibration reduction is critical in many applications using machine vision. The off-focusing or blurring error caused by vibration degrades the machine performance. In line with this, real-time disturbance estimation and avoidance are proposed in this study instead of going with a more familiar approach, such as the vibration absorber. The instantaneous motion caused by the disturbance is sensed by an attitude heading reference system module. A periodic vibration modeling is conducted to provide a better performance. The algorithm for vibration avoidance is described according to the vibration modeling. The vibration occurrence function is also proposed, and its parameters are determined using the genetic algorithm. The proposed algorithm is experimentally tested for its effectiveness in the vision inspection system.

  • Damage caused by wild animals such as pheasants and magpies is a problem in rural areas. A bird repellent system based on sensing and repelling farm pest animals and birds is proposed herein. This system is equipped with a bird model part on a supporting platform and comprises a sound source generator, a system control user interface, and a sensor in the center. The sensor is composed of an illuminance sensor and a PIR sensor. The illuminance sensor distinguishes between day and night, whereas the PIR sensor detects birds or wild animals and outputs them from the sound generator. The entire system can be managed easily by the user interface and system control.

  • Self-piercing rivets are often used in the automotive industry, among other industries, as mechanical components to join multiple materials such as aluminum alloys. Self-piercing rivets have a strong sealing property, although there is considerable scope for their performance improvement. In this study, to enhance the performance of self-piercing rivets, the hybrid self-piercing riveting (SPR) technique, using the existing SPR and structural adhesive, was proposed. Moreover, heterogeneous material specimens subjected to the hybrid SPR technique were manufactured and tested. The joint strength of the test pieces of different materials was evaluated through finite element analyses.

  • In rigid-plastic finite element method, there is a heavy computation time and convergence problem. In this study, static-explicit rigid-plastic finite element method will be introduced. This method is the way that restrict the convergence interval. In result, convergence problem and computation time due to large non-linearity in the existing numerical analysis method were no longer a critical problem. It is expected that various results from the numerical analysis will give very useful information for the design of tools in sheet metal forming process.

  • The basilar membrane, an important functional part of the cochlea, is responsible for spectral separation of vibration signals transmitted from the stapes. In current study, scaled-up polymer membranes designed by mimicking the human basilar membrane were used for investigation of the frequency-separation characteristic. Displacement field formed on each polymer membrane was acquired by Laser Doppler scanning vibrometer and post-processed frequency-wise. The locations of the maximum displacement along the centerline were identified and collected for individual frequency range to produce the frequency-position map of individual polymer membrane. The influences of the membrane thickness and material properties on the variation of the frequency separability were discussed.

  • This study has a different direction from the existing technology of applying recycled carbon fiber obtained by recycling waste CFRP to CFRP again. A study was conducted to utilize recycled carbon fiber as a raw material for manufacturing a carbon/carbon (C/C) composite material comprising carbon as a matrix. First, it was attempted to recycle a commonly used epoxy resin composite material through a thermal decomposition process. By applying the newly proposed oxidation-inert atmosphere conversion technology to the pyrolysis process, the residual carbon rate of 1~2% was improved to 19%. Through this, the possibility of manufacturing C/C composite materials utilizing epoxy resin was confirmed. However, in the case of carbon obtained by the oxidation-inert atmosphere controlled pyrolysis process, the degree of oxygen bonding is high, so further improvement studies are needed. In addition, short-fiber C/C composite material specimens were prepared through the crushing and disintegrating processes after thermal decomposition of waste CFRP, and the optimum process conditions were derived through the evaluation of mechanical properties.

  • With the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution, more and more attempts have been made to apply IoT technology to the manufacturing process and launch the product. In this paper, we propose IoT authentication scheme based on hash chain which can easily apply IoT device to small and medium enterprises in Korea. In the proposed method, the companies that installed IoT devices suitable for the manufacturing environment are selected to maintain the linkage between IoT devices so that product information and release information can be efficiently collected and managed during the entire manufacturing process. In addition, the proposed scheme is characterized in that it does not require an additional encryption / decryption algorithm because the authentication information of the IoT device is constructed based on a hash chain. As a result of the performance evaluation, the efficiency of the manufacturing process was improved by 18.5% and the processing of the manufacturing process with the IoT device was shortened by 20.1% on the average according to the application of the IoT device. In addition, the labor cost reduction costs in the manufacturing process decreased by an average of 30.7%.
