주파수 응답해석을 통한 제작공차를 가지는 저압터빈 케이싱의 고진동 원인 규명 (Investigation of the Cause of High Vibration in a Low Pressure Turbine Casing with Manufacturing Defects by Frequency Response Analysis)

  • High vibration of a low pressure (LP) turbine casing caused safety problems and life at the facility it was housed in. The main focus of this study was the cause of the high vibration in a low pressure turbine casing with manufacturing defects by frequency response analysis, compared with the results of experiments. Therefore, excited accelerations were obtained from the LP casing fundamental, and frequency responses were analyzed. The measurement and the modal analysis showed that the natural frequency of the LP turbine casing was 61.26 Hz and the excited frequency of the turbine rotor was 60.25 Hz. The manufacturing defect caused a decrease in the casing natural frequency and resulted in the high vibration of the casing because it moved close to the resonant frequency.

AHP에 의한 조선기업의 생산성과 향상기법의 선택 (An AHP Approach to Select the Technique to Improve the Manufacturing Performance in Shipbuilding Enterprise)

  • The objective of this research is to select the most effective technique from AMT (Advanced Manufacturing Technologies) and IMP (Innovative Management Practices) for improving manufacturing performance in shipbuilding enterprises. The research consists of several principal steps. The first step is to design critical criteria in evaluating manufacturing performance in shipbuilding enterprises. The second step is to develop sub-criteria of the critical criteria. The third step is to develop a four level AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) structure using the critical criteria, sub-criteria and techniques from AMT and IMP. The fourth step is to develope the pairwise comparison matrix by each level of AHP structure, which was based on survey data collected at the H heavy industry. And the last step is to select the most effective technique from AMT and IMP by using AHP analysis. The results of AHP analysis did not show clear difference in priority between techniques of AMT and IMP in terms of manufacturing performance of the shipbuilding enterprise. Thus, each critical criterion was assigned modified weights and examined the priority change of techniques by conducting performance sensitivity analysis.

  • Variation Analysis (VA) is used to simulate final product variation, taking into consideration part manufacturing and assembly variations. In VA, all the manufacturing and assembly processes are defined at the product design stage. Process Capability Data Bases (PCDB) provide information about measured variation from previous products and processes and allow the designer to apply this to the new product. A new challenge to this traditional approach is posed by the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) revolution, where Smart Manufacturing (SM) is applied. The manufacturing intelligence and adaptability characteristics of SM make present PCDBs obsolete. Current tolerance analysis methods, which are made for discrete assembly products, are also challenged. This paper discusses the differences expected in future factories relevant to VA, and the approaches required to meet this challenge. Current processes are mapped using I4.0 philosophy and gaps are analysed for potential approaches for tolerance analysis tools. Matching points of simulation capability and I4.0 intents are identified as opportunities. Applying conditional variations, incorporating levels of adjustability, and the un-suitability of present Monte Carlo simulation due to changed mass production characteristics, are considered as major challenges. Opportunities including predicting residual stresses in the final product and linking them to product deterioration, calculating non-dimensional performances and extending simulations for process manufactured products, such as drugs, food products etc. are additional winning aspects for next generation VA tools.

  • Manufacturing data analysis and its applications are getting a huge popularity in various industries. In spite of the fast advancement in the big data analysis technology, however, the manufacturing quality data monitored from the automated inspection system sometimes is not reliable enough due to the complex patterns of product quality. In this study, thus, we aim to define the level of trusty of an automated quality inspection system and improve the reliability of the quality inspection data. By correlation analysis and feature selection, this paper presents a method of improving the inspection accuracy and efficiency in an SVM-based automatic product quality inspection system using thermal image data in an auto part manufacturing case. The proposed method is implemented in the sealer dispensing process of the automobile manufacturing and verified by the analysis of the optimal feature selection from the quality analysis results.

빅데이터 도입을 위한 중소제조공정 4M 데이터 분석 (Data analysis of 4M data in small and medium enterprises)

  • 오늘날 ICT기술의 눈부신 발전으로 많은 부분에 정보화와 자동화가 이루어져 있으며, 제조업에서도 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위해 설계, 생산 공정의 자동화와 정보시스템을 도입하고 있다. 그러나 정보화 투자 여력이 없는 영세 중소제조 기업의 경우 생산현장에서 정보화의 힘이 미치지 못하고 있으며, 작업자의 경험과 수기데이터에 의존하여 생산 공정을 관리하고 있는 실정이다. 수기데이터로 관리되고 있는 제조공정에서는 불량 발생 시 불량원인을 명확히 밝혀내는데 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 수기데이터로 관리되고 있는 중소제조 자동차 부품 가공공정에 대하여, 수기데이터를 수집, 향후 센서데이터를 활용할 수 있도록 중소 제조 맞춤형 분석시스템을 구축하고, 중요도가 큰 일부 공정에 대하여 품질에 영향을 미치는 핵심요인을 4M관점에서 분석하였다. 분석결과, 호기별 불량수량에는 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 원자재, 생산수량, 작업자간 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

제조 분야 사이버 물리 시스템(CPS) 연구 동향 분석 (Analysis of Research Trends of Cyber Physical System(CPS) in the Manufacturing Industry)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내 및 해외 공히 국가 차원에서 중요한 혁신 의제로 추진하고 있는 제 4차 산업혁명, 인더스트리 4.0, 스마트 제조 등에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 사이버 물리 시스템(Cyber Physical System: CPS) 분야의 연구 동향을 분석하고, 향후 연구 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 (1) 인더스트리4.0과 스마트 제조의 개념, CPS의 기본 개념과 역할 등을 정리하고, (2) 이 분야의 문헌을 분석하여 향후 연구 방향을 제시할 수 있는 분석 기준들을 설정하고, (3) 제조 CPS 관련 주요 연구 결과를 분석하고 향후 연구 방향을 제시한다. '구글 학술검색'을 통해서 식별된 2013년부터 2017년까지 발간된 제조 CPS에 대한 74 개의 해외문헌과 8개의 국내 문헌을 분석한 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. (1) 기존에 제시된 다양한 관점의 방법론과 프레임워크를 바탕으로 제조 CPS분야에 대한 공통의 방법론과 프레임워크를 제시하는 연구가 필요하다. (2) 제조 CPS 분야의 성숙도를 높이기 위해서는 기존의 시스템을 포함하여 CPS 시스템을 실제로 구현하고 운영하는데 관한 연구가 필요하다. (3) 제조 CPS 시스템을 진단하고 개선 방향을 제시할 수 있는 진단 방법론에 관한 연구가 필요하다. (4) 세부 모델 및 툴 측면에서는 CPS의 특성을 감안한 SCM 및 생산계획 모델과 인간 기계 협업에 관한 연구에 대한 강화가 필요하다.

  • Manufacturing is fast entering a new age of industrial excellence that is being called "Agile Manufacturing." The goal of Agile Manufacturing is to link customers, suppliers, and the manufacturing system into a super-efficient confederation to produce a variety of products quickly and at a low cost. In order to improve the quality of the study of production input control(PIC) in a job shop manufacturing system by reducing the significant gap between research models and models of actual manufacturing systems, the previous line of research on PICs in a job shop manufacturing system is extended by integrating customers and suppliers with the manufacturing system. Then, a set of measures is developed to evaluate PICs, measures that reflect concerns of customers and suppliers as well as concerns of the manufacturer. Also, a weighted overall measure (with various cases to represent different possible weights of manufacturer's emphasis on the performance measures) is used to synthesize all the performance measures. Then, for each case, various existing PICs are evaluated in combination with various priority dispatching rules(PDRs).

  • In recent years, developed and developing country such as U.S., Japan, and China push forward to enhance their manufacturing industry through national policies such as advanced manufacturing(U.S.), Industrie 4.0 (Germany), and Made in China 2025. Also, in Korea, Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy(MOTIE) claimed Manufacturing3.0 for encouraging domestic manufacturing industry. Manufacturing industry plays an important role in encouraging economy and employment. In this paper, we survey, analyze and summarize the current national policy for enhancing manufacturing industry.

  • The result of management profits create to manufacturing activity. The gross sale profits must be maximum thraw spend of economic value. The profit maximum have to management based key value driver of manufacturing activity. The important factors of the study model are manufacturing value driver(MVD) and manufacturing value added(MVA). We show necessity of management based value by means of a case study.
