This paper presents a framework for processing a structured approach of R&D investment. It presents nine steps to operate R&D investment from analysis of environment situation to review and feedback its activity. Also fundamental questions fur effective R&D management in business are discussed and after that critical eight success factors for R&D investment are discussed.

Recently, safety accidents that occur in laboratories have occurred in various forms, so that a system that can reduce safety accidents in laboratories is required. The existing system identifies the danger situation according to the change of the temperature and the humidity, but the type of the danger situation is not known and the operation of the device is manually performed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a system that identifies the danger situation of a reagent cabinet using multiple sensors and automatically operates the device. The internal environment of the reagent cabinet is measured in real time through the sensors and the sensor data is used to identify the danger situation. Also, when a danger situation is identified, the appropriate device is selected and operated automatically. In this way, identification of the danger situation of the reagent cabinet and automatic operation of the device will reduce the safety accidents occurring in the reagent cabinet.

Recently, Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship(MASS) technology has attracted attention as a key technology for ship safety, efficiency, and economic feasibility in the marine field. Decision-making by the navigator's Situation Awareness (SA) for remote control on shore is expected to play an important role in ship collision avoidance. In this study, the navigator's decision-making time for the collision situation was measured.

In an attempt to illuminate the lives of elderly women, this article has studied the economical situation and economical well-being felt by the elderly women dwelling in the southwestern coastal islands of Korea. In this article, we have attempted to conduct a consolidated research that incorporates both qualitative as well as quantitative research methods. The researched areas included 6 islands. Here are the main results. : 1) The elderly women living in the islands were enduring various forms of excessive labor, and there were many cases where these women didn't receive adequate amount of compensation. There should be more considerations made by the locals and proper restrictions should be brought out in order to prevent these women from conducting excessive and hazardous tasks. 2) Due to unpropitious economical situations, the majority of the elderly women living in these islands were incapable of saving money. There should be a plan devised to empower the economical capabilities of these elderly women that will elicit economical effects. 3) The degree of economical well-being that these elderly women felt was very low, both in the absolute level of economical satisfactions, as well as the relative level of economical satisfactions compared to the people living in the cities. There should be an incorporated effort conducted by the elderly women themselves, the local society, and the relevant offices to increase the level of economical well-being that are felt by these elderly women.

This study was performed to analyze the vulnerability of the situation in which combat system is shot by external projectile impacts. In developing combat system, it is vital to consider the survivability as well as its mission capability because it is directly connected with loss of lives. Especially, when the parts which are susceptible to fire are shot under battle situation, the system is exposed to the dangerousness and the situation when the parts such as fuel tanks are impacted by external projectile impacts can lead to flash fire as a result of the leakage of fuel. Therefore, in this study the possibility of flash fire was calculated by analyzing a variety of variables supposing that fuel tank in the combat system is shot. The aim of this study is to suggest effective methods in the basic steps when combat system is designed.

Performance indicators haven't been used for the assessment of the wastewater treatment facility or management in Korea yet, therefore they are going to be important parts in wastewater utilities because they are used to understand present situation and to compare one with other wastewater utilities. In this study, we used performance indicators to assess the condition of wastewater utilities and they were divided into four categories (A, B, C, and D). A category represented the condition of the planning & construction and composed of wastewater supply, disaster defence and employees. B category represented maintenance of wastewater utilities and were composed of manhole, sewer, and technical employees. C category showed the operation efficiency of wastewater utilities and D category represented the environmental load. To analyze the situation of wastewater utilities overall, cluster analysis was performed using four categori' es indicators. And CCC (Cubic Clustering Criterion) and R-square were used to decide the proper number of clusters, and wastewater utilities of 48 cities were divided into 5 groups(I, II, III, IV, and V groups). Each cluster was analyzed by average and standard deviation to understand the situation of wastewater utilities. A group analysis showed that IV and V clusters were insufficient, B group showed that I and IV groups were insufficient, C group showed all clusters are above average, and D group was also like C group.

This paper attempts to show that consumers' own information processing mode can play an important role in inducing favorable product evaluations, which is the most key goal of marketing. Th elaboration likelihood model contends that consumers' motivation and knowledge, in addition to the outside marketing information, affects the evaluation process. On the other hand, The resource matching hypothesis suggests that an excessively high level of information processing may lead to negative evaluations. In this study, Need for closure exacerbated overall evaluations of consumers. Such relationship was more salient in the condition of low severity that in the condition of high severity. Also under the situation of low severity, consumers with high level of relevant knowledge made evaluations more favorable, compared to the consumers of low knowledge. On contrast under the situation of high severity, relevant knowledge leaded to less favorable evaluations. This experiment identifies the appropriateness of the elaboration likelihood model and the resource matching hypothesis. Especially This study suggests an rare example that consumers' knowledge may not paly an desirable role in making their judgments.

본 연구는 민간항공 조종사 훈련 및 평가에 중요하게 고려되고 있는 8가지 핵심 역량 향상을 위한 기초자료 마련을 위해 수행되었으며, 그 중 가장 중요하다고 판단되는 상황인식(situation awareness) 및 작업부하 관리에 대해 분석하였다. 예비 조종사를 대상으로 항공기 접근 및 착륙 단계를 진행하는 동안 PM(pilot monitoring) 역할을 수행하며 인식하는 항공기 상황과 작업부하량에 대해 평가하였다. 평가 시나리오는 기본비행훈련장치(basic aviation training device)를 사용하여 지형적 상황인식, 공간/시간적 상황인식, 시스템 상황인식, 환경적 상황인식을 평가할 수 있는 요소로 구성하였으며, 모니터링 도중 의도적인 주의분산 상황을 추가하였다. 연구 결과, 전체 비행 단계에 대한 상황인식은 32.3%이고, 지형적 상황인식(60.3%)이 가장 높고, 시스템 상황인식(18%)이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. NASA-TLX 평가방법으로 측정한 작업부하량은 10.8점(20점 만점)으로 나타났다. 또한, 기초공중항법학을 수강한 예비 조종사들이 대체로 높은 상황인식을 하였고, 작업부하 결과는 지형적 상황인식과 밀접한 상관관계를 가지고 있었다.

Since scientific management techniques are introduced into Korea about 1958, the backwardness of Korea companies and the ignorant owners of the companies had been main obstacles in aboriginality of those techniques. With the activation of industry in 1970s, however, the adaptation of IE is also activated. This paper, although it may be slipshod, describes the present situation as well as the adaptation history of IE techniques. This is for the expected necessity of memorizing the introduction of IE in the future.
