The purpose of this research was to construct an efficient management system in developing and supplying a 'management standard diagnostic table' for the improvement of chestnut cultivation farmhouse. 'Chestnut management standard diagnostic table' were based from the actual condition of chestnut management in Chungcheongnam-do, selected 'appraisal factor item and by consulting 'agricultural plant standard diagnostic table' and various kinds of data which had already been developed. This research also consulted the classification systems and degree of importance. The developed 'Chestnut management diagnostic table' consisted of 3 first classified items, 19 second classified items and 2 product indicator items.

In order to guarantee the user-requested quality-of-service(QoS) and keep the network utilization at maximum it is required to manage the network performance continuously after the network installation. The performance management function should provide the useful information for the network expansion and the capacity reallocation in the future. Currently the TINA provides the specification of the management function of configuration management connection management and fault management ; but the management function of performance management and security management are not well-defined yet. In this paper we propose a TINA-based performance management architecture for the efficient performance management of the heterogeneous networks or NEs with TMN and SNMP management functions. And we examine the proposed architecture into the ATM network (with SNMP and TMN) monitoring. The proposed architecture is based on the distributed processing architecture and the concept the TMN perfo mance management. The proposed architecture have been designed and implemented in multiprocess and multithread structure.

System engineering(SE) management techniques applied for space launch system development are introduced to assess the current status and address the effectiveness of these techniques. Management plans and guides are prepared for the work breakdown structure, data, configuration, interface control, quality assurance, procurement, reliability, risk and verification/validat ion. Further improvement is required for the system engineering management plan(SEMP) to merge the international cooperation into current engineering management system.

The purpose of this study is to suggest visual resource management methods for the national parks and adjacent areas, where visual impacts by high rise buildings such as hotel, condominium, etc. become serious problems. In this study Soraksan National Park has been selected as a case study for landscape management planning. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Comprehensive landscape management planning for National Parks and adjacent areas is necessary to solve visual impact problems by high rise buldings such as hotel, condominium, etc. 2) It is suggested to investigate visual resources and conceptual landscape management ideas, to select landscape control points and lines, landscape management areas, and to prepare building height control plan for proper landscape management plan. 3) In case of Soraksan national park, the landscape management plan includes three landscape management areas : Landscape preservation area, General landscape management area, and special landscape management area. 4) In the part of special landscape management area, it is necessary to introduce landscape impact assessment system to more effective landscape management.

Children's play facilities have changed over a decade from the traditional play facilities in the front yard to the new type of commercial play facilities which install more exciting and enjoyable facilities, such as Kids Park. The more diversified in the type of facilities, the more difficult in the safety management by the existing system. The 'Safety Management System of Children's Play Facilities' of MOSPA(Ministry of Security and Public Administration) has provided the safety information uni-directly by government sector to the private communities. Recently, multi-directional information sharing methods, such as community mapping are adopted actively in the social activities which have common purpose for making the better community by information sharing with government and private sector. On the purpose of citizen's participation for safe play facilities and preventing accidents, this study investigated the status of child accidents and safety standards, especially focused on the children's play facilities. And the way for sharing safety information among the communities with the GIS mapping skills is suggested in the respect of more easily monitoring and practically inputting the comments on the status of management of play facilities by real users based on their experiences. It is expected that more activities from the private sector would participate to the safety management of children's play facilities by realizing the suggested system.

For the sustainable management of marine ecosystem in Masan Bay, we have to assess the carrying capacity and standard of target water quality. In this research, we assume that all pollutants loads are treated in Dukdong sewage treatment plant, then we simulate the physical-biological model for prediction water quality for the achievement of standard water quality. In 2001 year, for the achievement of COD 2.5 mg/L, we need to reduce COD $90\%$, nitrogen $30\%$, phosphate $90\%$ than that of the present value, According to these results, the water quality of sewage treatment plant is required to treat COD 13.5 mg/L, nitrogen 33.3 mg/L, phosphate 6,0 mg/L. If the sewage treatment plant will be expanded much larger in 2011, it will need to be treated in COD 6.6 mg/L, nitrogen 2.5 mg/L, phosphate 5 mg/L for the achievement of water quality standard in COD 2.5 mg/L.

A knowledge portal is an integrated gateway for accessing relevant knowledge, collaborating and communicating with other users, and also linking internal applications which is becoming crucial in the age of information abundance. Research and development is a typical knowledge-intensive activity. However, knowledge management support in R&D has been minimal in most research organizations. In this paper, a knowledge portal is designed to support team-based researches in science and technology for searching and browsing knowledge, and also communicating with other team members, coordinating research project and collaborating with other researchers. Automating knowledge acquisition from various knowledge sources, knowledge categorization by applying text categorization method, and knowledge recommendation can help to relieve management effort and increase the efficiency of knowledge management processes. A prototype system based on the suggested model is also presented.

This study describes the development of a web-based system that collects all data generated in the research conducted to set pre-harvest residue limits (PHRLs) for agricultural product safety control. These data, including concentrations of pesticide residues, limit of detection, limit of quantitation, recoveries, weather charts, and growth rates, are incorporated into a database, a regression analysis of the data is performed using statistical techniques, and the PHRL for an agricultural product is automatically computed. The development and establishment of this system increased the efficiency and improved the reliability of the research in this area by standardizing the data and maintaining its accuracy without temporal or spatial limitations. The system permits automatic computation of the PHRL and a quick review of the goodness of fit of the regression model. By building and analyzing a database, it also allows data accumulated over the last 10 years to be utilized.

HwaSungSungYouk was one of the construction project in viewpoint of today's construction management and various information how to build the HwaSung at the last of the eighteen century had been recored in HwaSungSungYoukEuGye. The purpose of this study is to analyse the HwaSungSungYoukEuGye' management technic in viewpoint of today's construction management. In the record, there are a lot of informtion relate to record management, time management, cost management, etc. and the concept of the managements can be applied to today's construction project effectively. The concept and detail of the HwaSungSungYouk's project management should be analysed more.
