이러닝 구현을 위한 SignalR 기반 청중 응답 시스템 (SignalR-based Audience Response System for e-Learning Implementation)

  • Recently, as e-learning technology advances, interaction and data exchange between lecturers and learners have become very important. In addition, accuracy of data delivery and efficiency of system implementation should be ensured. Considering these aspects, SignalR is the most suitable communication method for constructing an audience response system in e-learning. Existing audience response systems require separate wireless devices and have problems with system compatibility. SignalR, on the other hand, is capable of operating in all environments including PC programs, web, Android, and iOS, and has an advantage of being easy to develop applications. As such, SignalR is widely used in chatting functions for small scale, real-time communication system, and it has never been used to implement an audience response system. Thus, for the first time in this paper, an audience response system using SignalR was proposed and an experiment was conducted on whether it was applicable at the e-learning education field. Therefore, from the results fo an experiment, a variety of e-learning environments can be built through the audience response system using SignalR proposed in this paper.

Seismic response distribution estimation for isolated structures using stochastic response database

  • Seismic isolation systems decouple structures from ground motions to protect them from seismic events. Seismic isolation devices have been implemented in many full-scale buildings and bridges because of their simplicity, economic effectiveness, inherent stability, and reliability. It is well known that the most uncertain aspect for obtaining the accurate responses of an isolated structure from seismic events is the seismic loading itself. It is needed to know the seismic response distributions of the isolated structure resulting from the randomness of earthquakes when probabilistic designing or probabilistic evaluating an isolated structure. Earthquake time histories are useful and often an essential element for designing or evaluating isolated structures. However, it is very challenging to gather the design and evaluation information for an isolated structure from many seismic analyses. In order to evaluate the seismic performance of an isolated structure, numerous nonlinear dynamic analyses need to be performed, but this is impractical. In this paper, the concept of the stochastic response database (SRD) is defined to obtain the seismic response distributions of an isolated structure instantaneously, thereby significantly reducing the computational efforts. An equivalent model of the isolated structure is also developed to improve the applicability and practicality of the SRD. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is numerically verified.

  • 본 연구에서는 이동식 탱크차량의 사고대응을 위해서 사고대응 가이드라인 작성, 사고대응 물질 데이터베이스 구축을 통하여 프로그램을 개발하였다. 가이드라인은 잠재원인 식별 후, FEMA(Federal Emergency Management Agency) 절차에 따라 작성하였고, 최초 물질 데이터베이스는 GHS(Globally Harmonized System)를 적용하여 구축했으며, 데이터베이스 간의 유사점 확인을 통해 사고대응에 최적화 된 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 마지막으로 Case Study를 통해 개발된 프로그램의 신뢰성을 확보하였다.

Two-Tier Storage DBMS for High-Performance Query Processing

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a two-tier DBMS for handling massive data and providing faster response time. In the present day, the main requirements of DBMS are figured out using two aspects. The first is handling large amounts of data. And the second is providing fast response time. But in fact, Traditional DBMS cannot fulfill both the requirements. The disk-oriented DBMS can handle massive data but the response time is relatively slower than the memory-resident DBMS. On the other hand, the memory-resident DBMS can provide fast response time but they have original restrictions of database size. In this paper, to meet the requirements of handling large volumes of data and providing fast response time, a two-tier DBMS is proposed. The cold-data which does not require fast response times are managed by disk storage manager, and the hot-data which require fast response time among the large volumes of data are handled by memory storage manager as snapshots. As a result, the proposed system performs significantly better than disk-oriented DBMS with an added advantage to manage massive data at the same time.

IT서비스 기업의 창의성 및 지식경영 요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (An Impact on Management Performance by IT Service Firm's Creativity and Knowledge Management Factor)

  • This paper discussed about creativity and knowledge management variables as for effect factors on the management performance of IT service firms. Specially the mediation effects of knowledge management variables between the creativity and management performance were examined. To prove empirically the related hypothesis, the statistical analysis were based on the response from the 160 Korean IT Service firms. As an analysis results, it was found that the creativity of organizations was not the direct effector on the management performance. But the virtue of knowledge which are accumulated from knowledge management activity and shared in organizations was the direct effector. Also, the knowledge management activity is mediator on the in the relationship between the creativity and management performance. So this paper suggests that knowledge management activity and knowledge's virtue in the related the creativity in organizations are the important mediate factors for enhancement of IT service firm's performance.

패밀리 레스토랑 품질 관리 및 차별화 전략이 고객 만족과 경영 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Quality Management and Differentiation Strategies of Family Restaurants on Customer Satisfaction and Management Performance)

  • The purpose of this research is to find out the impact of quality management and differentiation strategies on customer satisfaction and management performance in family restaurants. In particular, it aims to identify whether such quality management and differentiation strategy have positive influence on customer satisfaction and perceived customer satisfaction as indicated through management performance. For the empirical analysis, a questionnaire survey was applied to a total of 250 customers who experienced family restaurant service in Seoul during the past one year. The model was tested using SPSS 12.0 and visual PLS(partial least squares) programs on a sample of the 198 surveys which showed a 92% usable response rate. The results of empirical analysis showed as follows: 1) quality management has a significant effect on customer satisfaction and differentiation strategies but not significant on management performance. 2) differentiation strategies have a significant effect on customer satisfaction and management performance. 3) customer satisfaction has a significant effect on management performance.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 미래감염병 발생 시 적합하고 신속한 위기관리체계를 수행으로 인한 피해경감을 최소화할 수 있는 정부의 보건의료정책을 마련하기 위한 감염병 감시체계 방안의 모색하는 것이다. 연구의 방법으로는 국내외 감염병 발생과 관리현황을 분석하고, 재난피해 지역에 대한 감염병 감시체계방안을 제시하기 위한 기술적 연구를 하는 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 과거 미래감염병의 사회적 확산에 대해서 원인과 그 대응정책의 시행착오 등에 대해 보다 명확한 관리체계를 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 대유행하고 있는 코로나바이러스감염증-19 확산사태를 지켜보면서 국내 재난대응체계에서는 재난 발생시 참여하게 되는 여러 기관의 역할과 관련된 감염병 예방을 위한 교육 및 훈련과 홍보가 매우 중요할 것으로 본다.

  • 119 긴급구조시스템은 화재, 구조, 구급 등 각종 사건사고로부터 인명과 재산을 보호하기 위하여 구축된 소방 신고접수시스템이다. 119 긴급구조시스템을 활용한 상황관제요원들의 사건사고신고 접수능력은 사건사고로부터 소중한 생명과 재산을 보호하고 대처할 수 있는 능력과 직결된다. 119 종합상황실에 투입되는 신규인력과 재배치되는 인력들에 대하여 상황실에서 운용되고 있는 시스템과 동일한 시스템을 이용한 교육훈련이 절실하게 요구되나, 긴급구조시스템은 고가이고 소방본부에서 상시 운용되고 있는 유일한 시스템으로 공동 활용이 불가능하다. 따라서 적은비용으로 다양한 종류의 재해/재난에 대한 사건접수/출동지령/상황관제 등의 훈련을 수행할 수 있는 119 종합상황실 교육훈련시뮬레이터 시스템을 개발하였다.

Viaduct seismic response under spatial variable ground motion considering site conditions

  • The evaluation of the seismic hazard for a given site is to estimate the seismic ground motion at the surface. This is the result of the combination of the action of the seismic source, which generates seismic waves, the propagation of these waves between the source and the site, and site local conditions. The aim of this work is to evaluate the sensitivity of dynamic response of extended structures to spatial variable ground motions (SVGM). All factors of spatial variability of ground motion are considered, especially local site effect. In this paper, a method is presented to simulate spatially varying earthquake ground motions. The scheme for generating spatially varying ground motions is established for spatial locations on the ground surface with varying site conditions. In this proposed method, two steps are necessary. Firstly, the base rock motions are assumed to have the same intensity and are modelled with a filtered Tajimi-Kanai power spectral density function. An empirical coherency loss model is used to define spatial variable seismic ground motions at the base rock. In the second step, power spectral density function of ground motion on surface is derived by considering site amplification effect based on the one dimensional seismic wave propagation theory. Several dynamics analysis of a curved viaduct to various cases of spatially varying seismic ground motions are performed. For comparison, responses to uniform ground motion, to spatial ground motions without considering local site effect, to spatial ground motions with considering coherency loss, phase delay and local site effects are also calculated. The results showed that the generated seismic signals are strongly conditioned by the local site effect. In the same sense, the dynamic response of the viaduct is very sensitive of the variation of local geological conditions of the site. The effect of neglecting local site effect in dynamic analysis gives rise to a significant underestimation of the seismic demand of the structure.
