Methods: In this study, the logic of the Double Diamond Model is applied to analyze the development process of sustainable fashion made from BYN Black Yak Co., Ltd.'s PET Bottle Resource Circulation System. Results: The K-rPET Resource Circulation Project of BYN Black Yak Co., Ltd. is recognized as a best example for its contribution to eco-friendly activities, solving social problems, raising consumer awareness, and sharing recycling habits. Before the plastic bottle becomes a garment, five steps are taken (discharge of PET bottle → collection of PET bottle → recycling of PET bottle → fabrication of yarn → production of the finished product out of the fabric). BYN Black Yak Co., Ltd. has successfully commercialized it by recycling reverse-recovery PET bottles by making solutions to problems that have not been solved at each stage. Conclusion: In addition to efforts to find and strengthen weak links presented in the Theory of Constrains (TOC), it appears to have systematically carried out activities to convert stakeholder discomforts into a package of gain points. As shown in the slogan "We are all in!" the proposal and implementation for the completion of a true environmental system is judged to have truly performed ESG management well for the company's business. To this end, another existing evaluation model was reviewed and analyzed to develop a quantitative evaluation model applicable to military institutions. Methods: In this study, in order to establish a DQMS quantitative evaluation model, a military product quality level survey model and a defense quality model operated in the defense field were analyzed. In addition, evaluation models and indicators were analyzed by investigating evaluation models operated by other institutions and private sectors. Results: As a result of the study, the total score of the DQMS model was 1,000 points, 600 points for maturity level indicators and 400 points for operation performance indicators, and the evaluation items consisted of 7 major categories and 25 middle categories. The maturity level index 600 points are 70 points for organizational situation, 60 points for leadership, 40 points for planning, 100 points for support, 180 points for operation, 90 points for performance evaluation, and 60 points for improvement. Conclusion: It will be easy to quantify and evaluate the operating level of DQMS certified companies through the application of the DQMS quantitative evaluation model and evaluation criteria presented in this study. As a result, it will be possible to grasp the level of quality management system and the areas of improvement, and the overall level of improvement can be expected by inducing voluntary improvement activities through sharing of best practices and identifying improvement cases.

  • Unsatisfactory urban walking environment stresses urban residents, and may cause mental illness and chronic diseases by reducing walking activities. Therefore, establishing a high-quality walking environment that can promote walking activities in urban residents has emerged as an important issue. The walking environment consists of various components, such as trees, stairs, streetlights, benches, signs, fences, and facilities, and it is essential to understand which components and their settings act as satisfiers or dissatisfiers for pedestrians, to create a better quality walking environment. Therefore, this study investigated pedestrian satisfaction and dissatisfaction as a function of various environmental components through a survey using walking environment images. The results revealed that most of the walking environment components except the braille block and treezone exhibited significant correlations with pedestrian satisfaction. Particularly, safety-related component (e.g., adjacent roads, parked cars, traffic cushions, and car separation), and landscape-related components (e.g., trees and green), as well as the material settings of landscape facilities (e.g., wooden fences, benches, stairs, and walkway surfaces) correlated with pedestrian satisfaction. The results of this study can contribute to the extraction of useful features to evaluate pedestrian satisfaction as a function of the walking environment. The research outcome is expected to assist in the effective arrangement of walking environment components and their settings, which will ultimately contribute to significantly satisfactory walking environment and encourage walking activities.
