  • A method of digital transmission line protection using travelling wave is presented. It is shown that the fault current appears as a difference of two quantities associated with the travelling wave at each terminal. The phasor of these quantities are extracted and transmitted to the other end via communication channel to detect the line fault.

  • This paper presents SVC which use PAM method and eliminate harmonics. Inverter is connected directly so that SVC improve output voltage waveform into 24 steps. Inverter output waveform THD is reduced to 6.89%. Leading control of reactive power generated in power system is possible. Snubber is added to reduce switching loss.

  • Polyethylenimine (PEI) has been used as a non-viral gene delivery carrier. To improve the efficacy of transfection, transferrin was incorporated by covalent linkage to PEI. As a model plasmid DNA, pHME185/b-gal, a mammalian expression vector was used. The transferrin-polyethylenimine (TfPEI) was synthesized by conjugate PEI with transferrin using sodium periodateand and characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. (omitted)
