제방의 손상 유형 및 보수보강 (Damage Types of Levee and its Maintenance and Repair)

  • In 2002, property loss caused by failure or leakage of existing river levee structures was about 1.8 trillion in Korean Won, and furthermore in which damages of river structures are getting more severe due to characteristics of extremely extraordinary rain such as torrential rain in the locality or guerrilla heavy rain. In this regards, this paper collects and analyzes those damage records and costs for repair by statistic method, and moreover categorizes the causes of failure, erosion and overtopping of levee structures in large and small scale rivers threatened frequently by typhoon and heavy rainfall. It is believed that the results from the analyses can be used as a basic source in developing criteria of standards for design, construction, maintenance and inspection(or diagnosis) of hydraulic structures such as levee and drain conduit.

시뮬레이션 모형과 실험설계법을 활용한 창정비 비용대 효과 분석 사례 (A Case Study on the Cost Effectiveness Analysis of Depot Maintenance Using Simulation Model and Experimental Design)

  • 본 연구는 복수 품목을 정비하는 단일 정비부대의 정비 프로세스를 시뮬레이션으로 모델링하였다. 이를 통해 정비능력을 공유한 정비창이 최적 비용으로 구성품 가동률과 목표 가동율 등을 달성하는지를 분석할 수 있다. 구성품 가동률과 정비시간 등을 핵심 성과지표로 하여 육군 항공기 정비단 엔진 정비프로세스에 대한 시뮬레이션 모델을 구성하고 실증연구를 하였다. 영향요소의 식별을 위해 NOLH 실험설계법을 적용하여, 33가지 시나리오를 구성하고 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 이 비용분석 연구를 통해 정비 프로세스의 개선사항을 식별할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 시뮬레이션을 통해 복수품목을 정비하는 단일 정비부대의 비용대 효과 분석 모형을 제공했다는데 의의가 있다.

폴리머계로 보수한 철근콘크리트 보의 휨성능 평가 (An Evaluation on the Flexural Strength of Concrete Beams Repaired by Polymer Resin)

  • A series of reinforced concrete beams was tested to evaluate the flexural performance of the repaired RC beams. The key parameters for this study were the size and location of the patch, and the repair materials, including polymer, polymer-cementitious and cementitious materials. The repaired specimens failed by a typical flexural mode with minor interfacial bond failure. Beams repaired with polymer, polymer-cementitious and cementitious materials recover 100%, 91%, and 97% of the flexural strength respectively, while beams with cement mortar lose approximately 30% of the strength. Compared with the pressure injection techniques the specimens repaired with patching techniques show low flexural strength, with significant interfacial bond failure. Location and size of the repaired part do not affect the recovering performance. Interfacial behavior between repair and strengthening materials is the major influencing factor for the composite structures.

  • Burn-in is a widely used method to eliminate the initial failures. Preventive maintenance policy such as age replacement is often used in field operation. In this paper burn-in and maintenance policy are taken into consideration at the same time. The properties of the corresponding optimal burn-in times and optimal maintenance policy are discussed.

  • Almost preventive maintenance policies assumed that the system after pm has failure rate as before pm with probability p and as good as new with probability 1-p. This paper considers the s-expected cost of the model with imperfect periodic preventive maintenance that increasing minimal repair costs at failure and obtains the optimum periodic preventive maintenance time. Numerical example are shown in which the failure time of the system has gamma distribution.

  • 교량의 내진성능확보를 위한 유지보수계획을 수립하는데 있어서, 전체 생애주기비용의 최소화를 통하여 최적의 검사 및 수리회수의 결정방법을 제시한다. 생애주기 비용에는 초기비용, 파괴비용 뿐만 아니라, 검사 및 보수비용이 포함된다. 시간에 따른 내진성능저하모델을 손상함수를 이용하여 표현하였으며, 손상감지정도에 따른 Event Tree Analysis를 통하여 유지보수에 따른 파괴확률을 랜덤진동이론을 이용하여 산출한다. 예제로서 10경간 연속교의 최적유지보수방법을 살펴본 결과, 가속도계수가 증가하고, 연약지반일수록 최적유지보수회수는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

지식베이스를 이용한 천정크레인의 전기고장 진단 및 처방 시스템 개발 (The Development of the Knowldege-Based Electric Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance System for Overhead Cranes)

  • Overhead cranes which carry heavy items in construction or production areas consist of structure and electric modules. More than 80% of breakdowns bring out of the electric module. As operators do not know all about cranes, it sometimes takes much time to repair the cranes. In order to resolve this problem, the expert system which can diagnose causes of faults and give instructions for repair to operators, has been developed. The scope of the paper is limited to the electric module. First of all, analyzing symptoms and causes, we have developed a rule base with the expert system shell, EXSYS. Furthermore, for the facility maintenance including repair instructions against the causes, the instruction data base was developed with FOXPRO. On the other hand, for the help of user's understanding the fault causes, the graphic animation module which shows malfunctioning component ports or motions in 3D was developed with the graphic software, TOPAS VGA.

  • Buildings that are more than 10 years old generally have considerable repair and replacement costs due to the rapid deterioration of their systems. For public buildings in particular, which have national and social significance, considerable effort is required not only to ensure a long life cycle and safety but also to minimize the overall public expense. Along with increasing repair and replacement requirements, however, there have been problems related to the establishment of an accurate facility management budget. To address these concerns, a repair and replacement cost management system was constructed. This system manages both invested maintenance and forecast costs to establish a reasonable repair and replacement planning process and budget. The effectiveness of the system was verified through a pilot test targeting one of public Corporation (K).

The Effects of Slab Size on Pavement Life Cycle Cost

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of expansion joint spacing (slab size) on the life cycle costs of owning Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) airfield pavements. Previous research has shown that slab size has a statistically significant impact on pavement performance. A probabilistic life cycle cost analysis was performed to determine if the effect of slab size on pavement performance would affect the total cost of ownership of PCC pavements. Data from 48 Pavement Condition Index (PCI) inspections of military and civilian airfields were used to develop probability-of-distress-by-condition curves, which were then used to develop probabilistic cost-of-repair-by-condition curves. A present worth life cycle cost analysis was then performed for various slab sizes, using construction costs, rehabilitation costs, and maintenance costs. Maintenance costs were determined by assuming a condition deterioration rate appropriate for each slab size and applying the cost-by-condition curves. The probabilistic cost-of-repair-by-condition curves indicated that smaller slabs are more expensive to repair on a unit cost basis. Life cycle cost analysis showed that larger slabs have a higher total cost of ownership than smaller slabs due to a faster rate of deterioration.

무료수리보증이 종료된 이후의 두 예방보전정책 (Two PM policies following the expiration of free-repair warranty)

  • 본 논문에서는 무료수리보증이 종료된 이후의 최적의 주기적 예방보전정책을 고려한다. 이를 위해서 Wu와 Clements-Croome (2005) 그리고 Jung (2006b)이 제안한 확률적 보전효과를 갖는 두 종류의 예방보전모형을 가정하고자 한다. 이 때, 시스템이 가동되는 동안에 사용자가 지불해야 할 비용이 주어져 있을 때, 단위시간당 기대비용을 유도한다. 그리고 이렇게 구해진 단위시간당 기대비용을 최소화하는 최적의 예방보전 횟수와 예방보전 주기를 결정한다. 끝으로 수치적 예를 통해서 제안된 예방보전정책을 자세히 설명한다.
