C4I Maintenance Priority Decision using Maintenance Metric

  • Systemic management is required at each phase of the C4I system life cycle to achieve information advantage in the battlefield through stable operation of the C4I system under the NCOE. In particular, the maintenance phase is the longest period of the C4I system life cycle, and it is easy to utilize and analyze data such as faults that occur during system operation. However, according to the previous research, the maintenance is evaluated as a phase in which the definition and management of comprehensive indicators are insufficient compared to other phase. In this paper, we propose the method of C4I Maintenance Priority decision using Maintenance metric. As a result of modifying the Naval Tactical C4I System's preventive maintenance cycle according to the priority, the total number of faults is reduced and the maintenance efficiency is improved.

시변 고장률을 이용한 배전계통 유지보수 우선순위 결정 (Deciding the Maintenance Priority of Power Distribution System using Time-varying Failure Rate)

  • The failure prediction and preventive maintenance for the equipment of nuclear power plant area using reliability-centered maintenance have been grown. On the other hand, the maintenance for power distribution system consists of time-based maintenance mainly. In this paper, the new maintenance algorithms for power distribution system are developed considering reliability indices. First of all, Time-varying failure rates are extracted from data accumulated at KEPCO using exponential distribution function and weibull distribution function. Next, based on the extracted failure rate, reliability for real power distribution system is evaluated for applying the effective maintenance algorithm which is the analytic method deciding the maintenance point of time and searching the feeder affecting the specific customer. Also the algorithm deciding the maintenance priority order are presented based on sensitivity analysis and equipment investment plan are analyzed through the presented algorithm at real power distribution system.

  • Due to the deterioration of infrastructure, the importance of maintenance is continuously increasing. Therefore, an integrated maintenance method for various facilities is required. In this study, a maintenance priority determination method for integrated maintenance of roads and pipe network facilities was developed. It is possible to analyze attribute information by using GIS data of roads and pipe networks, and shape information can be used. This information is derived as quantitative figures for determining maintenance priorities. In the future, it is expected that facility maintenance can be further advanced in connection with maintenance method and quantity information for each facility.

  • Reliability Centered Maintenance(RCM) is one of most widely used methods in the modern power system to schedule a maintenance cycle and determine the priority of inspection. A precedence study for the new structure of rearranged system should be performed due to introduction of additional installation. This paper proposes a new method to evaluate the priority of maintenance and inspection of the power system facilities. In order to calculate that risk index, it is required that the reliability block diagram should be analyzed for the power system. Additionally, a fault cause analysis is also performed through the event-tree analysis.

  • The objective of identifying the cause of inconsistency in determining priority of educational facility maintenance, any related factors were thoroughly identified and tested, to see if it has any effect on decision-making process in resource allocation for educational facilities. On the assumption that 'the more there are to be repaired/maintained and deferred, the higher the relevant cost will be, this will lead to a significant social loss. Accordingly, this study established a framework of determining resource allocation priority based on deferred maintenance and its related expenses. For doing so, it was required to determine relative ranking in terms of resource allocation within a pre-assigned school district, in consideration of the criticality of each deferred maintenance attribute/variable.

위험도기반 교량 유지관리 우선순위 선정 모델 개발을 위한 기초연구 (Basic Study for Development of Risk Based Bridge Maintenance Priority Decision Model)

  • 국내 교량은 공용 연수의 증가로 인하여 추후 유지관리 비용이 상당히 증가 될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 대응하여 정부와 관련 부처는 한정된 예산을 효율적으로 분배하고, 유지관리 우선순위를 합리적으로 선정할 수 있는 방법 개발에 집중하고 있다. 본 연구는 위험도기반의 유지관리 우선순위 선정 모델을 개발하기 위하여 교량의 파손을 야기하는 일반적인 위험 인자 14개를 선정하고, AHP분석을 수행하여 중요 인자 5개를 선별하였다. 기존 문헌 고찰과 전문가 자문을 통하여 선정된 인자에 대한 평가 기준, 영향도 가중치 등을 도출하였고 이를 활용하여 엑셀시트 기반의 위험도기반 우선순위 선정 기초 모델을 제시하였다. 본 모델을 기존의 유지관리 우선순위 선정 방법과 병행하여 사용한다면 보다 합리적인 교량 유지관리 우선순위를 도출 할 수 있을 것이다.

Making Decision of the Maintenance Priority of Power Distribution System using Time Varying Failure Rate and Interruption Cost

  • The purpose of the this paper is to make decision of the maintenance priority of power distribution system using Time-Varying Failure Rate(TVFR) with interruption cost. This paper emphasizes the practical use of the reliability indices and interruption cost. To make a decision of maintenance priority on power distribution system equipment, the quantification of the reliability level should be represented as a cost. In this paper, the TVFR of power distribution system equipment applied in this paper utilizes analytic method to use the historical data of KEPCO. From this result, the sensitivity analysis on TVFR of equipment was done for the priority, which represents that high priority of the equipment has more effect on system reliability, such as SAIDI or SAIFI, than other equipment. By this priority, the investment plan is established. In this result, customer interruption cost(CIC) could be extracted, and CIC is used as weighting factor to consider a importance of customer. After that, the result calculated the proposal method in this paper is compared with other priority method, such as lifetime, failure rate or only sensitivity.

Maintenance Priority Index of Overhead Transmission Lines for Reliability Centered Approach

  • Overhead transmission lines are crucial components in power transmission systems. Well-designed maintenance strategy for overhead lines is required for power utilities to minimize operating costs, while improving the reliability of the power system. This paper presents a maintenance priority index (MPI) of overhead lines for a reliability centered approach. Proposed maintenance strategy is composed of a state index and importance indices, taking into account a transmission condition and importance in system reliability, respectively. The state index is used to determine the condition of overhead lines. On the other hand, the proposed importance indices indicate their criticality analysis in transmission system, by using a load effect index (LEI) and failure effect index (FEI). The proposed maintenance method using the MPI has been tested on an IEEE 9-bus system, and a numerical result demonstrates that our strategy is more cost effective than traditional maintenance strategies.

발전기 이산 민감도를 이용한 효율적인 우선순위법의 대규모 예방정비계획 문제에의 적용 연구 (An Effective Priority Method Using Generator's Discrete Sensitivity Value for Large-scale Preventive Maintenance Scheduling)

  • This paper presents a new approach for large-scale generator maintenance scheduling optimizations. The generator preventive maintenance scheduling problems are typical discrete dynamic n-dimensional vector optimization ones with several inequality constraints. The considered objective function to be minimized a subset of{{{{ { R}^{n } }}}} space is the variance (i.g., second-order momentum) of operating reserve margin to levelize risk or reliability during a year. By its nature of the objective function, the optimal solution can only be obtained by enumerating all combinatorial states of each variable, a task which leads to computational explosion in real-world maintenance scheduling problems. This paper proposes a new priority search mechanism based on each generator's discrete sensitivity value which was analytically developed in this study. Unlike the conventional capacity-based priority search, it can prevent the local optimal trap to some extents since it changes dynamically the search tree in each iteration. The proposed method have been applied to two test systems (i.g., one is a sample system with 10 generators and the other is a real-world lage scale power system with 280 generators), and the results anre compared with those of the conventional capacith-based search method and combinatorial optimization method to show the efficiency and effectiveness of the algorithm.

재해분석을 통한 화학공장의 위험성 평가에 따른 화학설비의 위험도 우선순위 (Risk Priority Number of Chemical Facilities by the Risk Assessment of Injury Analysis in the Chemical Plant)

  • 최근 화학공장에서는 대형 폭발사고 등이 주로 유지 보수의 정비 시에 많이 발생되고 있다. 정비 시에 효과적인 재해예방을 하기 위해서는 핵심대상을 찾는 것이 매우 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 재해예방의 핵심요인을 찾기 위해 핵심대상으로 화학설비를 선정하였고, 화학설비별로 위험순위도를 정하여 재해예방의 대책을 세우는 우선순위를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구방법으로 화학설비의 종류는 재해분석을 통하여 찾고, 화학설비별 위험도는 재해분석을 통해 가능성인 재해빈도와 중대성인 재해강도의 근로손실일 수를 기준하여 산정하였다. 또한 화학설비별로 전문가들의 지식과 경험을 바탕으로 한 지식기반 기법에 의한 가능성과 중대성 자료를 활용하여 위험도를 산정하였다. 연구결과, 화학공장의 정비 시에 재해예방을 위해 화학설비별 위험순위는 반응기, 건조기, 탱크로리 등의 순위로 나타났다. 이 결과로부터 화학공장의 정비 시에 재해예방을 위해 위험순위에 따른 각별한 대책과 주의를 기울여야 할 것으로 사료된다.
