  • Computer-based systems operating between two or more co-operating organizations as part of their business relationship are genera11y referred to as inter-organizational systems(IOS). IOS automate aspects of transactional work between organizations and coordinate other activities. Consequently, the design, construction and maintenance of IOS require substantial planning and sensitivity to these broader issues. This paper demonstrates that IOS planning is still in its infancy, though there is widespread agreement as to the desired results from IOS planning and how it should be conducted. In general, there is an over-reliance on traditional information systems planning approaches and the majority of organizations experience difficulties with IOS planning.

  • This study aims to understand the concept of 'ruralism' in Korea by comparing with 'rurality' which were dealt with in various fields related to rural areas in Korea. This study conducted a systematic literature review as a methodology. The process is defining key questions, searching for documents, classifying documents, extracting data, and presenting results. The key questions were set to 'How has the term 'ruralism' been used in various studies?' and 'How can the concept of rurality in Korea be organized?' according to the purpose of the study. The study retrieved literature by searching on Korean academic database, RISS and DBpia, using the five keywords '농촌성', '농촌다움', '농촌다운', 'Rurality,' and 'Ruralism.' The search yielded 1,014 documents which were thereafter screened by systematic literature review process. After sifting, only 31 publications were found suitable for inclusion in the final analysis. This study organized them into four categories: rural concept, rural landscape, rural tourism, and rural development. The literature divided into four types. Type I is a study that deals only with economy·society among studies related to rurality, Type II is a study that deals with both the economic·social and physical environment, Type III is a study that deals with the physical environment of a rural area and presents the rural planning principle as maintenance and preservation. Finally, Type IV is a study that presents ruralism as a new rural planning principle for a future rural area. In the end, the study discussed some implications on defining ruralism in Korea.

  • Domestic sewage can greatly affect the macro-micro physical-mechanical properties of building foundation soils. In order to investigate the effect of domestic sewage on physical and mechanical properties of soils, the physicochemical properties of three groups of different concentrations of domestic sewage contaminated soil were tested through indoor experiments. Combined with scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction experiments, and grey relational analysis, the degree of influence of different concentrations of domestic sewage on the physicochemical properties of soil was compared and analyzed from multiple perspectives such as microstructure and mineral composition, revealing the influencing mechanism of soil pollution by domestic sewage. The results showed that under the immersion of contaminated water, the color of the soaking water turned black first and then yellow, and brownish yellow secretions appeared on the surface of the soil samples. The moisture content, specific gravity, density, and pore ratio index of the soil samples immersed in 50% and 100% domestic sewage decreased with the increase of sewage concentration, while the liquid limit of the soil samples changed in the opposite direction. The immersion time had little effect on the slope of the compression curve of the soil samples soaked in tap water. For the soil samples immersed in domestic sewage, the slope of the compression curve and the compression coefficient increased with the increase of domestic sewage concentration and immersion time, while the compression modulus showed the opposite trend. In the soil samples immersed in tap water, there were a large number of small particles and cementitious substances, and the structure was relatively dense. With the increase of domestic sewage concentration, the microstructure of the soil changed significantly, with the appearance of sigle particle structure, loose and disorderly arrangement of particles, increased and enlarged pores, gradual reduction of small particle substances and cementitious substances, and the soil structure transformed from compact to loose. The research findings can provide theoretical reference for contaminated geotechnical engineering.

  • For the problems of high compressibility and low strength of peat soil formed by lake-phase deposition in Dianchi Lake, microbial-induced calcium carbonate deposition (MICP), phyto-urease-induced calcium carbonate deposition (EICP) and phyto-urease-induced calcium carbonate deposition combined with lignin (EICP combined with lignin) were used to reinforce the peat soil, the changes in mechanical properties of the soil before and after the reinforcement of the peat soil were experimentally investigated, and the effect and mechanism of peat soil reinforcing by the three reinforcing techniques were tested and analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that: compared to the unreinforced remolded peat soil specimens, the unconfined compressive strength (UCS), cohesion and internal friction angle of the specimens reinforced by MICP, EICP and EICP combined with lignin techniques have been greatly improved, and the permeability resistance has been improved by two, two and three orders of magnitude, respectively; the different methods of reinforcing generate different calcium carbonate crystalline phases, with the EICP combined with lignin technique generating the most stable calcite, and the MICP and EICP techniques generating a mixed phase of calcite and spherulitic chalcocite. Analyses showed that for peat soil reinforcement, the acidic environment of peat soil inhibited the growth and reproduction of bacteria, EICP technology was superior to MICP technology, and the addition of lignin solved the defect of the EICP technology that did not have a "nucleation site", so EICP combined with lignin reinforcement was preferred for the improvement of peat soil.

  • Re-coating of the mirror is one of the important things to maintain the performance of a telescope. The metal coated on the mirror reflects light, and if the reflectance decreases, then the telescope's performance decreases, so the mirror must be periodically recoated. It is important to predict re-coating cycles for military telescopes and to develop maintenance plans not only for performance, but also for the telescope's availability for missions and the maintenance costs for long-term use. However, most similar telescopes used for astronomy research determine recoating cycles based on experience and operating conditions, and not for prediction of recoating. Therefore, this study predicts the cleaning cycles and re-coating cycles of a military telescope's mirror by using simulation. First, this study analyzed similar cases of domestic and foreign astronomy research institutes and the study also reviewed the need for re-coating and predicting re-coating cycles. Second, this study developed simulation for predicting cleaning and re-coating cycles according to data analysis and modeling. Finally, the study predicts cleaning cycles and re-coating cycles according to varying reflectance reduction (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) and cleaning conditions (per 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years). As a result, this study suggests reference criteria to develop the planning for military telescopes and their maintenance.

  • For a successful construction project not only construction engineering and project management technology but also economic evaluation technique is required. Design and construction technologies are necessary to receive a project order. However, construction management technology which can be apply from the project initial phase to the project operation and management phase is required to create a benefit from the project. Construction management technology is one of the effective factors for project success. Economical and efficient cost management from the planning phase influences the project success. This study investigated cost flow and cost factors of domestic Sewage Treatment Plant project for systematic analysis of cost items following the entire project phase. Particularly, data modeling based on domestic Sewage Treatment Equipment maintenance cost DB was performed, and maintenance cost estimation trend line is suggested using Monte carlo Simulation Method to decrease uncertainty of actual results DB and for feasibility study. • In this study, we propose the operational availability computation model that can be used on the weapon system's requirement planning phase. The proposed model consists of the time parameters of Ao(Operational Availability) for a system and each time parameter's estimation method. The time parameters for Ao computation are TT(Total Time) and TDT(Total Down Time). The time parameters are defined by considering OMS/MP(Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile) elements. TT is a calendar time as a specific mission time at wartime or one year at peacetime. TDT consists of TPM(Total Preventive Maintenance time), TCM (Total Corrective maintenance time), TALDT(Total Administrative and Logistics Down Time). Then the estimation method for these time parameters are presented by the weapon systems types.
