STN LCDs on Plastic Film substrates for mobile communication devices have been researched and developed at KETI in KOREA. The Plastic Film substrate is so weak to heat and pressure that its fabrication process is limited to $110^{\circ}C(Tg)$. In order to maintain uniform pressure on Plastic Film substrate we used newly designed jig and fabrication process. Electro-optical characteristics are better than or equivalent to those of typical glass LCD though it is thinner, lighter-weight, and more robust than glass LCD.

We have developed the testing software for KEPCO operators to maintain the small-scale distribution automation system effectively. The testing software is used to monitor the present status, to measure the analog value(voltage, amperage) and to control the switch and FRTU(Feeder Remote Terminal Unit) in order to find out a disabled part of the system. And at the stage of inspection of the switch and FRTU, it can screen the inferior one.

In this study, we tried to develop the Web-GIS system prototype that will be able to effectively manage the nationwide flood prevention operations and to establish a framework that will be able to maintain the operation consistency. To achieve the study goals, we analysed current system of flood prevention operations, gathered related documents, had interviews with many government employees, and developed the Web-GIS system prototype. Also, we tried to present the benefit-cost analysis method using GIS technique that will be used to decide the priority order of the operation.

Honeycomb structures have advantages in weight reduction with stiffness increment. As far as noise is concerned, however a light aluminum structure, instead of a steel frame, should have an equivalent mass density in order to maintain sound insulation performance. In this paper, an evaluation of a material effect on noise has been examined.

Railroad has been one of major public transportations with the advantages of safety and schedule accuracy. However, the sustainable development will be the first principle in order to save the earth environment in the future, and the only transportation that satisfies it can continuously survive. Transportation has caused air pollution severely. Thus, the most environment-friendly means of transport should be chosen to maintain clean environment in the 21st century. Railroad is currently the best choice to fulfill the mission. But, the overall railroad technologies should be developed in consideration of clean environment to be a future leading transportation.

As a batch Type device, this machine is contrive to seal glass plates for plasma BLU (Back Light Unit) by indirect heating from electric heaters. In order to maintain the heating / cooling Chambers clean, this machine uses a muffle formation. The components of the machine are listed bellow.

While sustainability is seen in terms of social, economic and environmental dimensions, securing longterm financial costs and planning long-term strategic perspective among policy-makers are needed to maintain a healthcare system sustainability. Thus, the networking and cooperation between policy makers and health care workers should be tightened and strengthened in order to keep and enhance the healthcare system sustainability.

SomangNet team aims to make use of small- to medium-sized telescopes for photometric follow-up observations of transiting extrasolar planets orbiting a bright host star. Newly discovered transiting planets need frequent monitoring in order to maintain knowledge of the transit ephemeris. DOAO 1.0 m telescope and CBNUO 0.6 m telescopes are used for our monitoring. We will present some preliminary results of our observations and analysis.

Background: The objectives of this study were to identify the reasons of quitting smoking, to determine the factors that make it difficult or helpful to maintain smoking cessation and to confirm the changes after the smoking cessation. Methods: This study was conducted an in-depth interview with people who participated in the smoking cessation treatment program. There were 10 participants and they were interviewed thoroughly for 14 times. Using the directed content analysis, we analyzed the transcript which was written by recording the interview and the researchers' note. Results: The results of this study are summarized as 'the experience while at the verge of smoking cessation and stepping over the verge of smoking cessation,' 'the changing experience due to smoking cessation,' and 'maintaining the changes through overcoming re-smoking.' The smoking cessation treatment program induced the smokers to quit smoking. Participants mentioned drinking alcohol was the major obstacle to maintain smoking cessation. Also, they noted that the money and the time that were already spent to quit smoking helped their smoking cessation as well as the social relations which helped to prevent re-smoking. Participants felt well-cared through the smoking cessation treatment program and that it helped them to maintain smoking cessation. Conclusion: Smoking cessation treatment program has a positive effect on the smoking cessation trial and maintenance. In order for smokers to overcome re-smoking, educations regarding drinking problem, formation of supportive social relationship, and the applications for smoking cessation will be beneficial.
