대전력용 상분리 모선의 전자계 현상 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on the Electromagnetic Phenomena in High Power Isolated Phase)

  • Isolated phase bus is, as a special bus which allows large current from a generator to main transformer, composed of main conductor, enclosure and auxiliary equipments such as insulating bellows, bus elbows, support insulator, etc. To develop this kind of high power devices, it is required to secure the technique of selection of conducting and insulating materials, basic arrangement skills, and analysis on eddy current which causes temperature increase in enclosures. By the way, these techniques are based on the analysis of electromagnetic phenomena for high voltage and large current. In this study, an electromagnetic field analysis program is developed and applied to the isolated phase bus. which could be the basic numerical method for the analysis design and modifying isolated phase bus.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a trigger circuit which can be series connected with main pulse circuit for a xenon flash lamp driver. For generating high voltage, the trigger circuit is designed as an inductive energy storage pulsed power modulator with 2 state step-up circuit consisting of a boost converter and a flyback circuit. In order to guarantee pulse width, a resonant capacitor on the output side of the flyback circuit is designed. This capacitor limits the output voltage to protect the flyback switch. In addition, to protect another power supply of xenon flash lamp driver from trigger pulse, the high voltage transformer which can carry the full current of main pulse is designed. To verify the proposed design, the trigger circuit is developed with the specification of maximum 23 kV, 0.6 J/pulse output and tested with a xenon flash lamp driver consisting of a main pulse circuit and a simmer circuit.

  • 급증하고 있는 수요에 따른 고전력을 생산하기 위하여 발전소에서는 이에 대응하는 시설장비를 운영해야 한다. 규모는 점차 커지고, 기능이 다양해지고 있다. 발전소에서 불의가 사고가 발생하면 장비가 지장을 받게 되고, 막대한 경제적 손실 및 장애를 초래하게 된다. 사고 발생의 원인 중의 하나로서 케이블의 두 도체를 전기적으로 분리시키는 유전체의 기능이 약화되는 것이다. 케이블에 의한 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위하여 동작 상태를 감시 확인하여야 한다. 우리는 절연저항을 측정하기 위한 장비를 개발하여 서부발전(주)의 현장에 설치하여 운용 중이다. 변압기의 2차 측 와이(Y) 결선으로 연결된 모선은 생산된 전기를 외부 장치에 전송한다. 우리가 개발한 장비는 모선과 on/off 되는 케이블의 절연 저항을 측정하는 장비이다. 우리는 이 논문에서 하드웨어 구성을 위주로 우리가 개발한 장비를 소개한다.

Suppression Control Method of Torque Ripple for IPMSM Utilizing Repetitive Control and Fourier Transformer

  • Recently, many examples of practical applications of the motors with reluctance torque, such as IPMSM, RM, etc. are reported. However, the problems of the torque ripple produced by the IPMSM, are also presented. The main reasons of the torque ripple generation are the structural imperfectness of the IPMSM and its control system, such as the cogging torque of the motor, the dead time of inverter, sensors offset, imbalance and non-linearity, and so on. In this paper, authors propose a suppression control method of the torque ripple for IPMSM utilizing the repetitive control with the Fourier transformer and a vibration signal detected by an acceleration sensor attached to the motor frame, considering periodicity of the motor torque ripple. An experimental system to simulate the compliant mechanical frame is constructed, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed by experimental results.

  • This paper describes an AC voltage regulator using AC chopper and auxiliary transformer which is series connected with main input. It has many advantages such as fast voltage control, high efficiency and low THD. A detail study of step down AC voltage regulator is described and two kinds of novel step-up/down voltage regulator for AVR are proposed. The operation principle and PWM method of the proposed regulator are described. Experimental results show that it can be used as AC voltage regulator for special purpose very efficiently.

  • The main function of surge counter is knowing the times of surge flowed in, which is installed under surge arrester. Two methods are presented in this paper to get the electric power for mechanical movement and detect the surge with surge counter. One is using ZnO varistor resister and the other is using the current transformer.

  • Shunt reactors are used to compensate for capacitive VARs generated by lightly loaded transmission lines or underground cables. They are normally connected to the transformer tertiary winding. Dry-type shunt reactors have the advantage compared with oil-immersed shunt reactor as followings. Lower investment and maintenance cost, No fire hazard and no environmental concerns, Simple insulation to ground, Response to transient overvoltage less severe, Linearity of inductance versus load current, Lower-acoustic noise, Easier transport and handling due to lower weight, No oil-collecting system must be provided since there is no oil that can leak into the ground.

  • A novel full-bridge converter with a new energy-recovery driver implemented a regenerative transformer is proposed to improve the efficiency for wide input voltage range and load variation. The main switches achieve ZVS independent of the load current condition. During the free wheeling period, conduction loss is minimized by recovering the circulating energy to the source. The principle of operation, design consideration and experimental result, including efficiency, are presented in the case of large variation of the input voltage or load. A proposed 1kW converter prototype is compared with a PS-FB converter.

  • This study proposes a new method to estimate voltage unbalance more exactly using Thevenin's equivalent circuit. The conventional simple formula were easily applied to evaluate voltage unbalance. Because the formula was derived on the assumption that traction load would be directly connected to the secondary windings of the main transformer, they could not consider the detailed characteristics of traction power supply system, for example, self and mutual impedances of rail, catenary and return feeder. So, the ac쳐racy of the results could not be guaranteed. The proposed algorithm is applied to a standard autotransformer-fed test system to analyze unbalance phenomena. Through simulations, we could evaluate voltage and current unbalance factors and compare the voltage unbalance of the three transformer connection schemes : single phase, V- and Scott-connections which are required for suitable train operation schedules. Additionally, we could determine the combinations of trains which can be operated under the unbalance factor limits.

  • A new single stage power factor correction(PFC) AC/DC converter based on zero voltage switching(ZVS) full bridge topology is proposed. Since the series-connected two transformers act as both output inductor and main transformer by turns, the proposed converter has a wide ZVS range without additional devices for ZVS. Furthermore, since there is no need to use an output inductor, the proposed converter features high power density. The proposed converter gives the good power factor correction and low line current harmonics distortion. A mode analysis and experiment results are presented to verify the validity of the proposed converter.
