There are two different views on the relationship between "Tao Te Ching" and the life nurturing thoughts. Some researchers think that the life nurturing is a main idea of "Tao Te Ching", but others do not. By analysing the related terminologies to life nurturing thoughts in the "Tao Te Ching", we came to the conclusions as below. 1. Chapters which mentioned about the life nurturing thoughts include chapter 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 12, 16, 19, 20, 22, 24, 30, 35, 42, 44, 46, 50, 52, 55, 73, and 81. 2. Of 21 chapters that related with the life nurturing thoughts, 19 chapters mentioned about the mind nurturing(精神養生). It showed that "Tao Te Ching" put special emphasis on the mental health in the aspect of life nurturing. 3. There are 5,283 characters in "Tao Te Ching", but only 422 characters were used to mention about the life nurturing thoughts. That could be a one proof that the life nurturing thoughts was not a main idea of "Tao Te Ching".

Sugar palm (Arenga pinnata (Wurmb.) Merr.) grows naturally under shading of tree canopy, therefore shading levels take a main role for an optimal growth of sugar palm seedlings. The study was conducted to examine the effect of shading levels on the seedlings growth of sugar palm for up to 11 months under four shading levels: S0 (100% of full sunlight or non-shading), S1 (32% shading level), S2 (56% shading level), and S3 (64% shading level). Sugar palm seedlings grown under the shade (32, 56, and 64%) showed better plant height, stem diameter, leaf size, petiole and rachis length, chlorophyll content, root fresh and dry weights, root volume, and total biomass than those grown without shading. Although there were no significant different responses among the shading treatments on plant height, biomass dry weight, leaf morphological characters, chlorophyll content, and SPAD value, the S2 treatment showed a significant effect on a better root characters. Therefore, it can be concluded that the S2 treatment, 56% shading level, is an optimal shading condition for sugar palm seedlings.

After reviewing literatures of Han dynasty or earlier that recognize tumor, bump or mass, we concluded as follows. The recognition or study on tumor, bump or mass started at least Seoju(西周) Dynasty or earlier, and academic system was developed since earlier Han Dynasty(漢代). Until Han Dynasty, main characters that recognize Tumor, bump or mass include Jong(腫), Yang(瘍), Yu(瘤), Yeong, Chang (瘡), Ong(癰), Jeo(疽), Jeok(積), Chwi(聚), Byeok(癖), Jing, and Ga, Hyeon that firstly appeared in Southern and Northern Dynasties(南北朝), and Am(癌) that firstly appeared in Song Dynasty[宋代] can also be considered as significant characters. The main perception of cancer(腫瘍) until Han Dynasty was started by understanding the concept of the word Yu(瘤) and developed through visual, tactile sensation and symptom observation of following 2 categories, One is tumor, btm1p or mass which is expressed in outer body like Yeong, Jong(腫), Chang(瘡), Yang(瘍), Ong(癰), and Jeo(疽), The other is tumor, bump or mass which is expressed internally like Jeok(積), Chwi(聚), Byeok (癖), Jing, and Ga.

The purpose of this study is to study main characters' (Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly) costumes and color images in the movie "Chicago". First, regarding the costumes and color images in characters, Roxie's straight silhouette slip in skin tone reflected her frailty and monotonous routines in reality. On the other hand, a white beaded dress showed her fame-hungry and self-absorption in fantasy. Also, a low waistline blue dress and a see-through black dress with a white collar were to disguise her guilt and draw sympathy to win a suitcase. Black and contrasting colors of red and blue body-suit style dresses expressed Velma's sensual attraction, aggressiveness, and desperation. Second, these images were reinforced by color images in the backgrounds in the film. On the scene of Velma's 'cell block tango', black and red showed her strong character. Contrasting colors of the red and blue expressed Velma's desire and despair in her act of 'the desperation'. As for images of black color on Roxie's stages, they represented her self-absorption and frustration of failing to attract public attention. On the ending of duet performance of Roxie and Velma, the yellow of the background expressed success and joy in life.

The purpose of this study was to examine the process to manufacture costume design of main female characters of TV historical drama and suggest the costume, which is developed with contemporary taste. As study methods, the literature study using books and theses concerning costume, fine art, culture and history were used for theoretical background and the empirical study method manufacturing actual costume on the basis of literature and relic were used for dress manufacture. The study results were as follows. The costume was decided by researching historical investigation material on the basis of synopsis, grasping director's basic intention, setting design direction, preparing design map of each character, selecting style, detail, fabric and color, manufacturing sample and performing camera test. The design concept of was Modern & Chic & Clean, short & fitted chogori, chima with wide & abundant cocoon silhouette, clean & bright colors and 100% silk fabric. For the design discrimination of royal semi-formal costume, color was used to symbolize character and pattern was used to symbolize social status. In addition, detail change was adopted depending on the body shape of actor and there was almost no design discrimination in silhouette and fabric. Petticoat of the west, modernization of transitional pattern and change of detail were adopted as design elements to add contemporary taste.

The aim of this study was to analyze the semantic network structure of keywords and the visual composition of images extracted from Instagram in relation to the multi-persona phenomenon with in fashion imagery, which has recently been attracting attention. To this end, the concept of a 'secondary character', which forms a separate identity from a 'main character' on various social media platforms as well as on the airwaves, was considered as the spread of multi-persona and #SecondaryCharacter on Instagram was investigated. 3,801 keywords were collected after crawling the data using Python and morphological analysis was undertaken using KoNLP. The semantic network structure was then examined by conducting a CONCOR analysis using UCINET and Netdraw to determine the top 50 keywords. The results were then classified into a total of 6 clusters. In accordance with the meaning and context of the keywords included in each cluster, group names were assigned : virtual characters, relationship with the main character, hobbies, daily record, N-job person, media and marketing. Image analysis considered the technical, compositional, and social styles of the media based on Gillian Rose's visual analysis method. The results determined that Instagram uses fashion images that virtualize one's face to produce multi-persona representation s that show various occupations, describe different types of hobbies, and depict situations pertaining to various social roles.

Major and reckless development which have been continued during the last half century, have caused decrease and damage of urban green spaces in the point of qualitative and quantitative view. Particularly, it brought about reduction to urban neighborhood park which has taken the main role for landscape ecological value. Recently, neighborhood park planning based on the landscape ecological results has been increasing gradually. Most of all, diverse attempts such as the application of shape character analysis and the step of landscape ecological planning in urban park planning have been proposed. Today, we recognize the importance of comprehensive approach in urban green planning and neighborhood park planning, but landscape ecological approach which is analyzing character and making proposal with isolation, connection and circulation is still insufficient. Most of neighborhood parks in Korea are surrounded by buildings and isolated from adjacent green spaces. Besides, these parks have landscape ecological problems such as reduction of size, isolation from adjacent green spaces, decline of nature, and excessive pavement which we ignored during urban development process. We have sympathy for understanding landscape ecological characters and considering improvement proposals for neighborhood parks Therefore, the purpose of this study was to 1) select five neighborhood parks in Daegu, 2) analyze landscape ecological characters with isolation, connection and circulation, and 3) compare data. It is certain that these results should be the main data for the arrangement of improvement proposals which landscape ecological characters were appled to.

본 연구는 상상 친구가 등장하는 그림책에서 주인공에게 상상 친구가 어떠한 기능을 하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내에서 출판된 상상 친구가 등장하는 총 26권의 그림책을 대상으로 내용분석법을 사용하여 주인공과 상상 친구의 관계 속에서 나타나는 상상 친구의 기능을 분석하였다. 연구결과 상상 친구는 그림책 속에서 주인공의 상황과 필요에 따라 놀이동반자(77%), 돌봄 조언자(42%), 동행자(42%), 다른 자아(38%), 소망 실현자(23%), 정서 공유자(23%), 정서 조절자(19%)의 다양한 기능을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 분석 그림책에서 대부분 2-3개의 기능이 수행되고 있었으며 연구결과 나타난 7가지 기능을 주인공과의 관계적 측면에서 살펴보았을 때 수평적 관계, 수직적 관계, 다른 자아의 세 가지 유형으로 나타났다. 그림책에서 묘사되고 있는 상상 친구는 주인공의 소망을 실현시키고, 돌봐주고 정서조절을 하도록 도움을 주는 존재이기도 하지만, 함께 놀고, 마음을 나누는 동등한 관계와 다른 나를 투영하며 함께 하는 좋은 친구의 모습으로 나타났다.

어떤 장르를 가지고 있든 애니메이션 영화는 캐릭터의 작용과 불가분의 관계에 있으며, 성격을 뚜렷하고 잘 형성된 캐릭터는 서사와 주제의 표현자일 뿐만 아니라 관객과 소통하고 진정한 공감대 형성하는 담당자이기도 한다. 대중의 미학의 향상과 우수한 작품의 공개, 성격을 단순한 캐릭터가 거의 사라진다. 그렇다면 어떻게 인상 깊은 캐릭터를 만드는가가 연구 가치가있는 주제가 되었다. 본 연구는 프로이트의 성격구조 이론과 자기방어기제에 기초하여 애니메이션 영화 <가구야 공주 이야기>의 주인공을 주요 대상으로 연구한다. 논문의 말미에는 가구야 공주의 이미지 특징과 개인의 추구를 분석함으로써 다사카타 이사오 감독의 캐릭터 창작에 대한 이해를 탐구한다. 이를 통해 훌륭한 애니메이션 작품 제작 연구에 도움이 되기로 기대한다.

이 연구의 목적은 <삼시세끼> 어촌편 1이 재현한 가족을 살펴보는 것으로, 이야기 전개구성과 등장인물의 관계 특성을 서사분석을 활용해 분석하였다. <삼시세끼>는 '기상-자유시간-아침-점심-저녁-휴식-취침'의 비교적 단순한 전개구성을 보였다. 각 등장인물에게는 주된 공간과 역할을 배치함으로써 '차줌마', '바깥양반', '호주니'의 캐릭터를 완성해갔다. 출연진이 모두 남성임에도 이들에게는 아내/주부/엄마, 남편/가장/아빠, 아들의 가족지위가 부여되었고, 매우 고정된 감정과 획일적 행동의 가족실천이 탄탄한 관계구조 속에서 반복되었다. 동시에 유자녀 가족, 양부모 가족, 이성애가족, 핵가족이라는 전형적 근대가족, 정상가족, 표준가족을 연출하였다. 즉 <삼시세끼>는 스위트 홈의 표상을 적극 차용해 정상가족 이데올로기를 강화시켰다.
